Great was waiting for the to drop on GP buy how's the performance nowadays on Series X?

I know it's minor differences but the fact that the Xbox versions are inferior in that sense is crazy.

My concern is the soft image quality cause he mentions that the internal resolutions is at like 900p-1070p. It's been quite a common theme with UE5 games on the current consoles.

Anyone played any UE5 games on Series X and how does the image quality look? I haven't...

Yes, I 100% believe every word that a corp like EA says. Their words are gospel.

Great but usually season 1 of a show is not the issue. It's how it continues through the seasons.

@Weapon_Wheel personally I would not spend money on this. If you can, try it on Game Pass, if not give it a hard pass and try something else. Assetto Corsa 2 is coming out this year for example.

This game is a poor racer and there's plenty on the market that is better.

This month is really poor tbh.

It's an expensive function on the current consoles that need too much compromises for it to even work. And from what I've understood from guys like Digital Foundry is that AMD cards generally don't perform well with RT functions, especially for a GPU that is at least 5 years old now in technology terms.

With companies pulling stuff this after the review period, what's so difficult for outlets to pull back their reviews and update it accordingly?

This game is totally Redfall part 2.

It will definitely go onto other platforms. It's in-line with the new Xbox strategy and I don't see why not.

What is annoying though, is that it will launch feature full on other platforms when compared to Xbox.

@Cherip-the-Ripper didn't try Call of Cthulhu but yeah agree. The game mechanics were really poor . I did like the story and the investigative elements though.

I quite liked the vibe of the first game but my goodness did the controls and combat feel like something out of 1998

If I remember correctly Control Standard Edition has been on the service before right? But the Ultimate Edition is a good add. Will wait for Remedy to get back the rights in 2025 and buy it for PC then.

Been playing a lot of Helldivers recently and I'll admit, I kind of miss playing Starfield. Will definitely get back to it when some of the biggest features are added.

@awp69 yeah I can agree with you. The base here is fantastic and especially with friends it can be a blast but there needs to be more variety (missions, enemy factions).

The game is new so hope they can add meaningful content and not go the way of the Live-Service by focusing more on monetisation.

I am dumbfounded by these claims of "worsening market conditions". The main reasons for these cuts are drop in profit margins. Meaning they're still making money, just not enough.

Shame, I really enjoyed playing The Expanse recently. As a fan of the TV show, I felt this was a really good experience.

Grounded makes a tonne of sense and I'm just glad Pentiment will be played by more people. Pentiment was my game of the year for 2022.

This is what happens when you don't communicate well to your customer base and allow the rumours to swirl. And it seems that Xbox have historically made poor decisions that impact their customers so why shouldn't people be wary.

@theduckofdeath yeah choose to focus on the 6 months rather than the 6 years and more importantly the quality of the game. That's clearly what's more important 🤦🏾

6 years of development and a further 6 months since release and this game still feels half-arsed and soulless.

Crazy to think I've been having more fun on F123 and that's one of EA's iterative churned out games.

If the rumours suggest what we think it's going to be, I'll give them one more generations for consoles.

To be honest, Microsoft and Xbox have themselves to blame for this. As soon as the leaks and rumours started, they should have been proactive and communicated to their fan base but instead they allowed the rumour mill to turn...

A single track would never tempt me to waste time on an half-assed game.

MW3's campaign, in particular, the open world segments were complete garbage and I don't want a Far Cry experience from COD, I get that from Far Cry.

The needle was edging towards a buy for this game but now that's gone towards maybe not.

Shame...this is possibly THE most harrowing military shooter ever made.

Understand there will be overlap and redundancies in roles but you would think that a company who is now worth 3trillion$ and making billions in profit could find different roles for these people.

I literally downloaded this over the weekend and deleted it after 15 mins. Whilst better than at launch, it's a game of really poor quality. Just a small example = the running animations

This blew my expectations right out of the water. Holy hell...amazing stuff from Machine Games. From what they showed it looks and feels like Indiana Jones and that's a huge compliment.

@Kaloudz that's a shame. I am a huge fan of the older Hitman games and this new trilogy is absolutely a return to form and then some.

Heard they broke the game with the update which is not surprising considering the competency levels of the people over there at Turd10. And they've added recycled cars from their old games as the "free" cars and new cars under car pass? Great stuff.

The state of gaming in 2023. "Grinding" "Engagement" this is what these companies are chasing after. They had a double XP weekend last weekend and apparently limited the amount of gun levels you could level up in the zombies mode. So that you can "grind" through more games. Great stuff.

Rollerdrome is really something I want to get into and I was just checking today if Killer Instinct was on Game Pass and here we go! Great stuff!

@Sakai I wanted to get this initially but not a fan of the fact that it's wired. Just cant stand cables running all over the place, would have gotten it if it was wireless.

Interesting to read your experiences. It's my first rodeo with Xbox and prior to this, my DS4 controllers started having their drifts after 2 years, so this has beaten that (negatively of course).

I've ordered a new laptop 4060 laptop, so I'll give some gaming a go.

Xbox wise, I'm going to just get a new controller. My 1.5 year old controller that came with the console already has some bad stick drift on the right stick. Anyone else experience this so soon?
