It’s happened to me and isn’t quite a factory reset. All downloaded games are there and it was about four setup questions when I turned it on. My dashboard reverted back to default too. Still a pain in the arse but not a full on reset.

I think it’s worth noting that even if a handheld was identical to a series S internally it would still cost a lot more. Batteries and a screen don’t come cheap.

I’ve absolutely loved Dungeons of Hinterberg. Finished it today and enjoyed every minute.

How did I not know about Neva until now?! I loved Gris and thought it was a beautiful game so definitely keeping an eye out on this one.

@Kezelpaso Yeah just after they show it and cut back to the studio bit, she kind of blurts out they have it but most of the footage shown is in first person.

She does say they have 3rd person for those that prefer it. Sounds pretty concrete to me.

Interesting piece. The final bit “but we still feel like we're not 100% sure on where Xbox will be in 10, 15 years” made me laugh though. I don’t know where I’ll be in 5 years time, never mind a huge company that deals in ever evolving tech.

Big Platinum Games fan so a huge part of buying the Xbox One was Scalebound! That went badly.

@Altaria_97 I can’t honestly say why it’s a great game, just that I thought it was great. Really addictive and not too long so one to start and finish over a weekend definitely

A Short Hike is a superb game. Really enjoyed it on Switch. Can’t disagree more strongly with the quantity over quality view, there’s some superb games being added.

I love some of Platinum’s games. It’s strange how divisive they can be on an Xbox site due to what happened with Scalebound, the full story of which we’ll never actually know. Personally I’d be delighted if this came out.

So I haven’t looked it up but I take it My Friend Peppa Pig is some sort of sequel to My Friend Pedro?! 😁

I’ve only played the demo and a (very) small amount of career mode. Found it really enjoyable so far. It might get a bit repetitive after a while but it’s got the basis there of a really good game.

@OliverOwen it annoys me every time when I see a leak, especially around ‘E3’ season. I try to avoid them but still come here for the latest news etc. I just logged on and see a big headline (and picture) about the Forza Horizon 5 DLC leaking. Guess I’ll not be on here until Sunday is out of the way as I’d like to watch it without knowing what’s coming up.

@UltimateOtaku91 nope, they do nothing for me either. Mainly because I’m rubbish at them!! All good for those that do enjoy them though, loads of choice and quality.

@Gahl1k sorry, wasn’t calling anyone out - everyone’s got different preferences and likes. Gorogoa is very much an indie game that might not appeal to some tastes. I happened to enjoy it 😁

I played through Gorogoa on Switch and really enjoyed. A very original puzzler with some great artwork, I’d highly recommend it (so long as you’re not obsessed with everything being AAA)

Just finished off Lake, really enjoyed it. Not sure what’s next though.

There’s a little indie game coming too called Horatio Goes Snowboarding that might appeal to any old school Horace fans! The dev has made some really addictive games on Switch like Rogue Aces so I’m keeping my eye out for that 😁

I decided to start Dragon Quest XI a week or so ago to see me through when there weren’t many releases taking my fancy. Then they announced Scarlet Nexus and Avengers on Gsmepass! 🤦🏼‍♂️

I’ve played about half an hour. Lovely visuals, nice puzzles. Frame rate does seem a bit choppy though (series x) which isn’t totally ruining it but it would be so much nicer at 60fps

Playing through it at the minute. It’s a beautiful game, ever so slightly clunky in places but well worth a play imo.

@SplooshDmg yeah it was a very full E3 so hopefully we’ll see more soon and they are pacing the feed of info. My opinion is probably weighted slightly in that I’m not a big multiplayer gamer so I’m far more interested in the single player 😆

@Tharsman yeah I know they said ‘at least’ it was just that as a target it seemed quite conservative to me. The full context my be that they were trying to reassure there wouldn’t be more droughts of no releases.

@LtSarge yeah I never take the loose numbers as facts, I just didn’t see the quote as inspirational. Every other month (6 a year) as you said seems a decent number and no doubt the original timelines have moved on a lot of games too, hence a quiet spell followed hopefully by a few more coming soon.

23 studios, 4 games a year. So pretty much a 6 year rotation (in theory). Am I the only person underwhelmed by that? I appreciate massive blockbuster AAA games can take years but not all these studios are focused on one game at a time.
