Talking Point: Are There Any OG Xbox Remasters You're Dying To See On Series X|S?

Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered is officially out today, marking the arrival of three PS1 classics on Xbox consoles. We're very happy to see these old school third-person adventures finally land on Xbox - if you'd like to read our full review on the collection, check out the link below!

While this release has extra significance for us considering it's the first time these games have come to the platform, it has got us thinking about potential remasters that did launch on Xbox. Specifically, we've been thinking about what we'd like to see return from the OG Xbox era.

Being big racing game fans, we'd love to see some classic racers return to modern Xbox platforms. The first few PGR games, some of the older Burnout titles or classic Need for Speed entries like Underground 2 would all make for amazing remasters on Xbox Series X and S.

There are some more obvious titles that would receive massive fanfare if they returned though. We immediately think about The Simpsons: Hit and Run and how popular that game remains 20 years on from its Xbox release. Seriously, everyone seems to want a Hit & Run remaster - even DOOM composer Mick Gordon!

Now that Xbox owns Activision Blizzard, there's potentially more scope with that library too. Last month we talked at length about five Activision games we want to become backwards compatible - including OG Xbox classics Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex and Tony Hawk's Underground. If Microsoft fancies going all-out with remasters of these, we'd definitely be on board!

Having namedropped some big titles here, are there any other OG Xbox games you want remastered for Series X and S? Whether that be seminal collections like today's Tomb Raider re-release or more of a one-off hit like SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, what other Xbox classics do you want remastered for modern consoles?
