I’ve found out why I can’t see it. It’s not available where I live. The original is but not the remaster

I have quite a few questions, as I’m confused. Anyone who can help me out would be appreciated.

Firstly, I went on the store last night to try and preorder and I could only find the original version which I already owned. Is this actually called GTA V next gen? And why can I not see it?

Second question is, I have a save game on my console but the whole point of buying this again is to do the story mode again. I played it through originally on the 360 so it’s been long enough that I want to play it again. When I originally bought Hotshot racing after having the gamespass version there seemed to be no way to erase my original save. I tried locally, and online and I couldn’t erase it and start again. I want to make absolutely sure I can start afresh before purchasing.

Finally - my understanding is online and story are purchasable seperately. I’m not interested in online. Do I HAVE to buy online to make the story mode work?

If anyone can help with this I’d be really grateful.

What about if you DON’T want to carry over your save and start again?

Thanks for this story! I changed controllers a few months ago, alternating between the FH5 special edition and the 20th anniversary special edition and I thought I'd been unlucky and got two faulty controllers!

I can find Ridge Racer Unbounded manually but no other ridge racer games

What am I doing wrong?

So how do we purchase these? I’m only interested in ridge racer 6, but would need to buy a digital copy. You can’t do that I seem to remember reading?

I have a Dolby vision compatible TV, and the setting is enabled. But when I play FH 5 it still defaults to HDR 10

@FraserG I can see totally where you're coming from. Unlike your Nintendo sister site which is going from bad to worse, you take a much more considered approach.

I can identify where you're coming from because I regard 3 as the pinnacle of the series. as much as I liked four, and played it to death I still didn't quite get the enjoyment out of it than I did out of three because it did feel overfamiliar.

I'm hoping that part of the problem was the landscape was too samey and five will be in between four and three for me.

It's been up since earlier this year so far with no problems.

It's interesting because the browser version has spun off from the decomp version (which I have) in which the game is modded with extra game modes, runs at 4K in widescreen, and several other tweaks.

I definitely did read something about why the decomp version was allowed to exist although I can't find it now and everything I google about this browser version suggests surprise that it hasn't been taken down yet......

I can't pretend to be an expert in these matters - and I was surprised. But I definitely read somewhere that there was a legit reason why the decomp version was allowed to exist (this is spun off from that version, and is not the same)

@Spaceman-Spiff because it's been completely decompiled and reprogrammed from the ground up and also includes enhancements. No code is original so it exists in a legal grey area where they can't do anything.

I was going to say. Having dropped over £100 on games at Xbox series x launch only to see them in games pass now, I don’t really wanna spend money any more.

A lot of people mentioning FH5. I’m sure I read somewhere a few months ago that FH5 would release before the next FM. I can’t remember where I read it though.

My money is on FH5 in Japan using the FH4 seasons concept and the same engine as it has already been up worked for series X.

I’m in the process of building an emulation rig using a gaming PC. Was planning to plug it into the TV. Could I do it using this feature instead?

Seriously? That sucks. I bought wreckfest and spent £80 on dirt 5!

My carbon black which came with my series X stopped working after eight weeks. I was refused a repair or replacement because they said it had been submerged in water (it hadn’t).

So I had to buy a replacement and I went with shock blue. I’m tempted by the red as well now though.

The two games I switch between most are forza horizon 4 and fifa 21 with occasionally dips into Tetris.

Quick resume only works very very occasionally and there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t.

Another vote for Peggle 2 here. Also unravel and the sequel. Great games.

Forza Horizon 4. So much better I deleted my save game (over 500 cars, mostly completed) and started again from the beginning

Well, it arrived but.........

The first game I wanted to play was FH4. Started downloading it and it got to 50GB and then just disappeared! No sign of it anywhere. Had to start again from zero so doubt will get any gaming tonight now

My series X should hopefully be here in the next hour.
