MultiVersus Is Now Officially Free To Play For Everyone On Xbox

Warner Bros' free-to-play fighter, MultiVersus, is now live on Xbox! Well, the game has entered 'Open Beta' anyway, which for all intents and purposes is the game's main free-to-play launch.

There's quite a bit of hype behind MultiVersus as well, especially for us who reside on Xbox. It's looking like it'll finally provide a decent alternative to Nintendo's Super Smash Bros series; something that's been sorely missing on the Xbox platform. WB has laid out all of the open beta info in a handy FAQ.

MultiVersus brings a huge roster of Warner Bros' characters into one great big brawling mashup, backed up by the likes of loadout customisation, dedicated servers with cross-play and cross-progression support, and more.

Choose from Harley Quinn, Tom and Jerry, Finn the Human, Wonder Woman, Steven Universe, Jake the Dog, Garnet, Superman, and an extraordinary creature named Reindog. Every fighter boasts unique abilities that pair dynamically with other characters.

During the game's early access period, fans have been really digging the game itself, but less so the monetization method behind it. Still, if the developer can sort all that out during the open beta launch period, this one is shaping up to be the next big thing in the free-to-play world.
