Ascent was good, played it in co-op with buddies. Got a little bit tired at the end, but still had a blast.
Two Point Campus is a lovely sim, played it for a couple of days and bought this one.
Expeditions: Rome is a nice tactic game, though a little bit rough at the edges and challenging at higher difficulties.
Marvel's Avengers was not my cup of tea - played it for a day or two and dropped. There is no lack of more interesting live-service action games on the Interned: from Destiny / Division to some lovely indies.
@Kaloudz single-player story is decent and fun in GTA 5, totally worth playing.
But multiplayer is either way a huge time-sink or a solid money-grabber IMO... Was fun on release and with a bunch of friends, but I hardly can (or even want to) invest so much time in it now.
Well, usually lots of people play the game on different stages of development and I hardly doubt that they didn't see all those problems. Perhaps they were forced to release Redfall asap, perhaps - not, but the result is disappointing.
Despite all the sacrifice more choice is better. Some people prefer higher resolution, others stand for higher FPS and that's ok, the main point is still to get some fun from the game.
@pip_muzz community is not harsh because Redfall is from MS, it is harsh cause the game could be much better and it is certainly not the quality level one might expect from Arkane Studios.
Wow, another live-service game that will probably close in some months after launch... Even though HP fanbase is big, I doubt people will play this on a regular basis.
@Nightcrawler71 i doubt it will work well with Quick Resume like other games with internet connection needed. You'll still spend some time reconnecting from the starting screen.
@Wheatly well, judging by the gameplay videos it is a rather high-paced shooter. Such games are way better FPS 60+. It's ok to play e.g. Plague's Tale in 30 FPS, but shooters...
Well, I'll give it a try, Minecraft Dungeons was quite good and I am now interested in how RTS in this universe can feel. But if the main fun is PVP, then I'll clear the campaign and let it go - do not have so much time nowadays to invest it in something competitive.
Well, Team Cherry is a small studio. Being under such pressure after the first Hollow Knight is hard and it is even harder to live up to all the expectations of the fans. Hope they are fine and will deliver one more awesome game when it is finally ready.
@InterceptorAlpha officially XsX is $499 and Diablo 4 is $69.99 with total ~$570 > $559 bundle. So if you do not care about sales and other things and want to buy the console and this game, you save roughly $10. What a profit, is not it?
@Savage_Joe sure they will. If you are interested in a game and in a console, there is no reason not to buy it, this a legit bargain. I just miss awesome limited editions from the past, where you get a nicely styled device that will make you happy and all you friends "wow".
@themightyant nor battle-pass nor in-game shop are available during the beta, you won't even find any tabs for that.
I personally think that they will really keep selling only cosmetics and battle-pass. At least for a while. Different in-game items do look OK at the moment and you can find something interesting for transmogrification, but IMO late-game equipment from Diablo 3 looked much better. On the other hand, we could only see initial items for level 25 and less. Perhaps as time passes and level grows there will be more interesting option to sculp a decent-looking barb girl
To be honest, Civilization VI is much better with 2 major expansions: Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm. Basic game is ok if you are unfamiliar with TBS games or the series itself.
@GuyinPA75 just discussing stuff, no offense, sure.
I see several cases, where pre-orders can be justified:
1) You know the game is gonna be good and you wish to play it at the release (or as soon as possible). Plus you'll get some pre-order bonuses (which are usually so-so, to be honest).
2) You want to support game developers. Not all games are made by big companies with billions in their pockets. Some studios work hard to provide the best possible games for their fans. Each player find something for himself here.
3) You don't care about the money at all. Rare case nowadays, but it exist.
But if you have doubts about the project quality, have no information about the game, don't care about playing it at the release, in that case it will be better to wait some time and see whether it won't be postponed, get some nice reviews or take part in a sale, sure.
@GuyinPA75 there are different cases, different games and different developers. I agree that preordering something in general is some kind of a cat in a box.
On the other hand I have preordered Baldur's Gate 3 at the very same moment preorders became available on PC, because I've played all Larian games before and wish to support the dev. And I will preorder Hades 2 immediately once I can. These games are something I want and I will play day one.
@Kaloudz adding Diablo to GP the same moment acquisition happens will be kinda cruel to all the people who preordered Diablo on xbox (and thats a solid amount of loyal players). I think they will add it to GP after releasing the first big payed DLC.
@BBB this season is good, but in my opinion it goes too easy. I leveled the first character in a blink of an eye (guess, it was something like a couple of hours) and assembled desired build in a day. Getting those boosts and benefits from the altar is not hard, the only thing I had difficulties at the moment was an Ancient Puzzle Ring - had no luck with Kanai's Cube and playing Trag'Oul Death Nova Necromancer is nice for pushing GRs but not the best farming build.
But I do agree with you that Diablo 3 is a fun game for those who want to have a break for some AAA open worlds. It is not overwhelmed with different features like POE nowadays and you can fit any amount of time into the world of Sanctuary: from 5-minutes bounty run to whole days of build optimization. If you are into that kind of things of course.
@Chaudy in fact, all enemies have some kind of weak spots. If you find them out or use the most appropriate weapon, the feeling of the sponge will be gone. But if you shoot right in the face with everything you've got - killing a thing will take a while.

Re: Xbox Is Offering 'Buy Two, Get One Free' On Select EA Games This Week
Sounds like a nice deal... but I can hardly find 3 titles from both EA / AC series I am interested in and I do not still have at the same time.
Re: Two Baldur's Gate RPGs Seemingly On The Way To Xbox Game Pass
Excellent games, had a blast playing them in the good old days, even though Planescape: Torment was the one among big old RPGs, which stole my heart.
Re: Reminder: Five Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass Today (July 31)
Descent games.

The Wandering Village caught my eye, gonna try this one.
Re: Xbox Game Pass Title Atomic Heart Gets Its First 'Explosive' DLC This August
Nice trailer, might get it at some point in future... But not in August - would be too busy with Baldur's Gate 3.

@Lup that's my only desire, too! Hope, they will not spoil that magical atmosphere.
Re: Xbox's Redfall Drops Out Of US Top Played Charts Less Than A Month After Launch
@Rangers420 I doubt that. Dishonored was primary made by Arkane Lyon and I doubt they will pass the series to Arkane Austin.

Re: State Of Decay 2's First Major 2023 Update Is Out Now On Xbox Game Pass
@Spider-Kev thanks!
Guess, I'll give it a try one day. But at the moment there are too many games in backlog and even more awesome titles in not so distant future.
Re: State Of Decay 2's First Major 2023 Update Is Out Now On Xbox Game Pass
Have not played State of Decay... is it some kind of survival / crafting game? Or is it closer to classic zombie shooters like L4D, Days Gone, etc.?

@BAMozzy to be honest the story in Diablo 4 seems way better compared to Diablo 3.

Re: Microsoft Announces Diablo 4 Xbox Series X Bundle, Pre-Orders Now Live
Pure disappointment.
It is just a base Xbox Series X + Diablo 4 with some cosmetic from higher-tier editions (not even a full Deluxe / Premium edition). Meh.
Re: 'Xbox Series X Diablo IV Edition' Potentially Set To Launch This June
Well, if I had no Xbox or had not preordered Diablo 4 before... Still interesting to look at this one, though.

Great news. This has been on my list for some time, but I was a bit concerned about the controls. Glad to have an opportunity to test it.
