It's been announced that the creators of Moonlighter (Digital Sun) are working on a brand-new League of Legends experience called "The Mageseeker", taking the form of an indie 2D pixel action RPG.

All we've got so far is a teaser trailer and a little bit of information, along with the mention that it's "coming soon in 2023" to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S along with a bunch of other platforms.

"Developed by Digital Sun, creators of Moonlighter, The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story™ is an action RPG that takes place in the League of Legends universe. In the kingdom of Demacia, the Mageseekers hold the power to oppress magic-using citizens in the name of public order–by inducting and indoctrinating them, locking them away, or driving them into hiding.

Play as Sylas, a spell-stealing mage who has just broken free of his unjust captivity at the Mageseekers’ hands. Wielding the chains that once bound you, you must liberate your homeland from tyranny, one Mageseeker at a time."

As you may remember, another League of Legends spin-off story was released back in 2021 in the form of Ruined King, but that was a turn-based RPG developed by Darksiders Genesis studio, Airship Syndicate.

You can see a little bit of gameplay footage from The Mageseeker in the IGN video below.

Looking forward to this one? Let us know down in the comments.
