Yeah! at the current rate of making games viable for handhelds I've started thinking my series X could easily last 10-15 years more playing the latest releases

Xbox game studios has 0 upcoming games I want to play now.

PS6 next gen, I don't want to be forced to become a windows pc gamer.

I started playing 2 days ago with hotfix 2, feels like a AA game from like 10+ years ago, but the story seems interesting (less perverse CP77 like, which is good) to keep on playing, especially with now hotfix 3, and not ask for a refund

Trying to make 30M players become PC gamers.

PS6 next gen for me probably, unless the world ends before...

"I've been told PC isn't a hassle to play on but i don't buy it." - I can testify as of 1998-2024 it IS a hassle. You are in the know. Almost every game needs game settings or OS settings or filesystem fiddling/fixing BS and doesn't "work proper on first run". PC gaming is time-wasting garbage

Some people like/accept playing alpha/beta builds, unpolished and unfinished.

Other people, like me, and most, demand only a final product with at most 1-graphical or gameplay glitch per playthrough. Anything more and I'm not playing further and request a refund, which Xbox give out 100% of the time in Australia after any amount of playlength.

I come from most of my entertainment being Movies and TV, where they do not release different versions/cuts/edits very often, so in my view, unpolished = unplayable and unenjoyable.

I don't think they can emu locally our current gen AAA Series games on their next gen console, that's their big problem

Yeah, I have a 4060 pc that I don't use because I want a dedicated system I don't have to fiddle with too much and can focus on the game/story instead

Someone said that Switch 2 was a better deal and I totally see that since current gen games are getting proper optimised ports for that fixed system

I reckon 50% of all sold units will be returned because people thought they could play their Xbox library games on it

MS probably should have better paced their output/adding of new fantasy games to GP

Can you play the game on the discs you buy if internet is cut off completely? I'm legit asking because I don't know much about physical game media at all. Seems like we are reliant on electricity + internet to game so why not just get the digital most-updated copy

I wanted to like CP77 more than I did:

• too much babbling in the story
• world is over-the-top perverse, unrealistic

I keep trying to outcompete a Starfield playsession with other games, but everything falls short in comparison to running UC Vanguard endgame missions in the beautiful small-galaxy sim Bethesda made.

I churn GP subs to try new 50-400M dollar AAA and AA games, thanks MS.

I churned GP for Atomfall and got my churn refund after not liking it (too horror and not sci-fi enough for me), thanks MS.

Game Pass losing them millions if they went buy only? Not sure

they fixed the gameplay issues with outlaws but the man-woman character is still v.poor to look at for hours

also the whole story is just thieving, not really hero anything, bit dull and pointless

People don't play games like watching tv shows and streaming movies. Each game requires a learning curve/dedication that most reject and stick to their favs instead. It's basic human behaviour because learning new things is hard

More than 2020 -> 2025 US inflation + tariffs, I think so.

I recently paid AU$800 / US$500 for a new Series X for Starfield.

I'm gonna guess US$550 soon.

Game-of-the-gen for sci-fi/space fans.

We buy licences to modern games. Like Windows software licences.

Licenced games/software are either updated (Starfield) or stagnant (Mirrors Edge Catalyst) or shutdown (the game described herein).

So, Best to use subscription services to get your temp licence always.

The duo was cool but Do you remember why they were at war again? the villian/enemys tale needed more work

The campaign in 2 was just ok imo. Interaction with the titan, and the environments, were AAAA. But the villain/enemy was so poorly defined, kinda pointless waring. Slow clunking around in mechs also makes for dull gameplay imo, same as MechWarrior games.

Personally, I'd be on the fence re a TF3 campaign
