Ridge Racer 6

Bummer. Loved FM7, and the latest Forza Motorsports was starting to really take shape with tracks and cars being added. What a shame Microsoft, one of the main reasons I love Xbox has just been gutted.

Being able to play Ridge Racer 6 on the XBSX for $9.99, I can't imagine wanting to go back to playing the original Ridge Racer.

I'm curious if Microsoft & Sony would permit a Forza Motorsports release on the PS5, which would be competing directly with Gran Tourismo 7.

It would be fantastic if the game drops 4/21. I wonder if Bethesda will have an upgrade path if you own the X360 version instead of having to pay full price.

I've been completely satisfied with Microsoft's approach to backwards compatibility, it's worked consistently from X360 through XBSX.

Much better than Nintendo's ridiculous policy of having to re-purchase the same games over and over again with each new system.

I'll be purchasing 1 month of Gamepass to "Rent" Forza Motorsports, and then decide if I'm going to purchase or not. I can also catch up on some other games that I'm curious about, like Starfield.

Would like to see classic Nintendo games for the SNES and NES collections, but Nintendo would never allow it.

@BRT15 Thanks! Didn't realize that about the original RDR, thought it looked really good for an X360 game. I guess a full remake would require updating textures and getting it to run at 60 fps which would be awesome.

@BRT15 I'm confused, I thought the first RDR game was released on Xbox360 and PS3, and that RDR 2 (different game) was released on Xbox One (X) and PS4.

Personally I love the original Read Dead Redemption, still play it via backwards compatibility. Would be great to have a remake.

Hopefully Microsoft tests the "must be online" feature better than Sony did for Gran Tourismo 7. There was period of time that I couldn't play the career mode because of a bug introduced in an update that needed to get patched...

Project Gotham Racing 3

Does anyone know if this is the same game or an updated version of Aliens Vs Predator on the Atari Jaguar? I played that version back in the day...

Update: A quick Google of this revealed that the Atari Jaguar version came out in 1994. The PC version released in 1999, also developed by Rebellion, was a shinier improved version.

The Xbox 360 version from 2010 was a reboot of the original, once again developed by Rebellion.

PGR2 was my most played X360 game.
Such a shame that making it BC would cost too much in licensing fees.

Adventure and Haunted House on Atari 2600, still have my original console and games.

Forza Motorsports 8

I ended up getting the Samsung AU8000 43" on sale, it's a great TV if you don't care about 120 Hz. Looks great with PS5, XB Series X, and Switch. Recommended.

That's too bad, I'm not a fan of the "game as a service" model. Would love arcade port/remake of Crazy Taxi, and Sega Rally Championship as well. One can only Dream(cast).

I was a big fan of Gran Tourismo, GT2, GT3, and GT4. After that, the series lost my interest. GT7 looks like it's going back to basics, and that's a great thing.

I've sunk a ton of hours into Forza Motorsports 7, which just plays so smoothly on the Series X.

Maybe someday I will pick up a PS5, after the second generation is released. At that point, I will pick up GT7.

I'm hopeful that with BioWare concentrating on a single player game, this will be a solid release for them on XBSX.

I enjoyed playing these games back when they were released. Looking forward to checking out the updated versions when they're released for XBox Series X.

When Diablo 3 is updated to run on the Xbox One X code, I will purchase it for Xbox Series X. Have been waiting for this...

I'm hoping for Project Gotham Racing.

Personally I would rather have a capped frame rate of a solid 30 fps, rather than a frame rate that fluctuates from say 50 to 60 fps. The change in frame rate pulls me out of the experience.

The next generation of kids will have the same reaction to the Xbox Series X in 20 years, saying that it's "retro". I had a blast with my original Xbox, still have it and fire it up on occasion.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, I was playing Alien vs Predator on the Atari Jaguar. Playing on headphones, I jumped out of my chair the first time a Predator snuck up behind me and whispered "C'mon!".

Would prefer non-cloud versions of the classic SEGA games developed for the X-Box Series X, perhaps an Arcade Collection? This is great news!

@BlueOcean The initial release did not include the SNES version of Aladdin, which is the main reason that I didn't purchase it. There should be an upgrade path for those folks that already purchased the initial release!

This looks amazing, sign me up for the HD-2D remake of DQ III.

Have beaten it with the Human Archer and the Dwarven Fighter, now on the 3rd play through, this time with the Elven Sorceress. It's awesome that it's running in 16x9 @ 4K.
Looking forward to the second game!

I'm enjoying the hell out of this game again. $30 is a little steep, but to be able to play it on XBSX in widescreen and at 60 fps is awesome! Now I don't have to drag out my PS2 when I want to play Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.

Having Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance available on the Xbox Store would be an immediate purchase for me. I wouldn't have to drag out my PS2 when I want to play through it.

Of course, a complete new overhaul similar to what's being done on Diablo 2 would awesome, but even a remaster would be fine.

Xbox Series X console has been a great experience so far. Did the 3 months of Gamepass for $1 which just expired, gave me an opportunity to try out a bunch of games before purchasing them at a discount. Excellent job Microsoft!
