Nobody cares about what’s leaving gp anymore

Ubisoft will keep on being Ubisoft… the same tired franchises on repeat, funneling talented developers into making safe, board-approved, mainstream snoozefests with absolutely zero risk. And when they do finally take a (tiny) step toward creativity, like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown or Fenyx Rising, they go ahead and dismantle the very studios behind them.

It’s frustrating, it’s sad and it’s giving « creativity is a liability » energy. Ubi has the talent but they keep choosing corporate comfort over bold vision.

Nothing’s gonna change.

Essential is rising the price of Core in France! What about the people who ONLY wanna play online without giving a single damn about Game Pass? 8,99€ a month just to play Street Fighter 6 online or even Final Fantasy XIV (which ALREADY has its own sub)? That’s insane.

Well… Xbox is out of touch with reality, as always.

For players who just wanna hop online and couldn’t care less about Game Pass, even the basic plan is ridiculously overpriced.

Honestly, I’m slowly dumping Xbox and putting my energy into the Switch 2… because guess what? I can play online there for just 20 bucks a year.

I was happy at first but it seems like you all said that it’s another uncomplete game on a disc… wtf… I’m not gonna buy this.

Lost Odyssey doesn’t really need a remake though… just need a 4k 60fps patch.

Anyway I don’t’ except anything amazing for Xbox players… at best it would probably get a port to PS/Switch… and suddenly the game would be considered an amazing JRPG 🤡

Nope. I have a Switch 2 for portability, I collect physical games and I’m not quite sure to like where Xbox is heading tbh.

I travel between France and Belgium and in the latter a major video game seller called FNAC Belgium completely gutted the Xbox section years ago because apparently Xbox is the village joke over there. Say you play Xbox and watch the side eye roll in like you just confessed a crime. Meanwhile in France FNAC still flexes those Xbox branded shelves and games are easy to snag elsewhere.

Elsewhere in Belgium if a store even bothers to stock Xbox games it’s like five overpriced titles max…

Thank u Nadella for channeling your inner Don Mattricks and making sure Xbox remains the punchline of European gaming thx to your disdain for Xbox hardware… ❤️

Imagine Sony dropping a PS5 S… it would sell like absolute crazy.

The Xbox Series S is honestly such an outstanding little machine and you can find it easily for dirt cheap (brand new around €200, sometimes even €150 used where I live).

I don’t own one myself but a few of my friends do and they are seriously so happy with it.

I’m always surprised at the quality of the games on this console, it really does have its audience. And let’s be real: resolution and framerate aren’t that important for a huge part of players… just look at the Switch slaying sales numbers…

The mere existence of these options usually kills my enjoyment of a game… it was exactly the same with the ports of FF VII, VIII and IX where you could just activate everything with a single button.

I still have to play my PS4 copy anyway which doesn’t have this feature. It’s totally psychological but for some reason, it just grates on me

@TrollOfWar Mmm I wonder how much Sony really had/has to pay because locking a game away from Xbox must cost way less than locking it away from PS since there are simply fewer sales to compensate for.

It’s too late anyway… Sony already got what they wanted: damaging the Xbox brand for good and made people believe the franchise was a first party exclusive. They don’t even need to lock anything down anymore.

At least, Sony will probably stop locking stuff now that everyone is convinced that Xbox is a brand to avoid 🌝

Thanks to them Phantasy Star Online ep1 & 2 is back to Xbox and playable in 720p widescreen with an obscure patch ❤️

@dskatter just read the reviews on the Xbox store… half of them are saying the game is trash because of « woke »… This has been the gaming internet’s drama for weeks. Even my mom knows about the « woke dragon age scandal »…

It’s a damn good game and let’s be real: we all know why it got mixed reviews from the public... A bunch of people (mostly close-minded straight cis men, you know the type) barely even played it but still wanted to hate it because some youtube haters screamed « omg its wok guyz were gona loose our straight card if we dont publicly spit on it!!!! ». Like… please. The world isn’t just black and white.

Most people consider the game a masterpiece while a minority is still wondering how it could be so adored. In the end, it all comes down to personal feelings, I guess.

Correction: "ending the Xbox consoles, one grub at a time".

I’ll start seeing these kinds of ports in a positive light for Xbox the day we get… let’s say… The Nathan Drake Collection or literally any other old remastered iconic PlayStation first party franchise landing on Xbox. Until then? Cute try but this suxx imo.

Helldivers 2 is just a breadcrumb compared to the full course meal Microsoft is serving up on PS.

I honestly wasn’t expecting much after the painfully bland Team Sonic Racing but this one actually delivered! It feels way closer to the greatness of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Tbh I had more fun playing the beta of this than playing Mario Kart World online… which is easily one of the most forgettable entries in the franchise.

Already ordered a Switch copy and I’ll be upgrading the moment that Switch 2 patch drops.

@Kaloudz I couldn’t disagree more, but we’ve already hashed this out. There’s no right or wrong here. I just can’t stand this western wannabe j-rpg.

The original crawled at 30fps on Xbox and for some reason never felt ok at that frame rate. So yeah, it was crying for at least a little upgrade.

I own the physical copy so I guess I’m just screwed. Oh well… it’ll be sitting in the bargain bin for 5 bucks in a year or two anyway…

Well… a lot of people seem happy with this overhyped title so I guess I’m happy for them…

I used to be a big defender of the Xbox dashboard but I really got tired of the changes, especially when they decided to put one to TWO rows of game ads before I can reach my pins. This is total BS.

This is just one of many reasons why I am focusing more on the Switch 2 now.

@Millionski not automatically. Tons of gamers simply don’t like the other brand. Even if they would be the perfect public for let’s say Forza or Halo, they will always refuse to buy an Xbox and will only play these games once they land on their system.

OMG I miss the music game era so much (mostly the BEMANI one… Guitar Hero, DJ Hero and the others were mostly later copies of original BEMANI games like GuitarFreaks, Drum Mania or BeatMania)

Almost everywhere BUT PlayStation?? That’s almost a first for third-party on this gen haha… XStation.

I got the previous version on PS4 and wasn’t really fan of the new graphic style. I will probably give it a second chance on Switch 2 for portability. I’m a huge fan of the franchise.

This is obviously NOT the real Phil! It’s just a lookalike. The real one has been locked in the basement by Nadella who is now making 100% of all the decisions and now the one taking the spotlight to ensure his evil Xbox plans come to fruition.

@BossBE to me, it has always been clear that the Xbox Series S was designed for lower resolution AND framerate. For the price (easy to find for 200 or less here), it’s an amazing system and several of my friends who are more casual gamers than I am are really happy with it.

We’ve been hearing a lot more from Satya Nadella than from Phil Spencer lately and that’s not a good sign. It’s the business logic speaking, not the passion for gaming anymore. Satya Nadella doesn’t even care about videogames or consoles, he cares about cloud revenue.

The Microsoft board of directors led by Nadella since 2021 is focused on financial returns. Xbox hardware hasn’t been profitable since the Xbox 360 era and the console division as a whole continues to lose money. With billions spent on acquiring Activision-Blizzard, shareholders and Nadella himself expect significant returns, even if it means phasing out the Xbox console in the medium term.

In a nutshell: excessively rich, out of touch executives want to make more money and don’t really care how.

It really suxx if true. And I’m pretty sure that sony will focus more on Switch 2 than on Xbox so the Xbox will remain the losing system.

I hardly ever play or buy games on Xbox these days… I’ve totally lost trust in them, especially the future of their hardware.

It’s crap… just like most of the stuff we never asked for that Microsoft has been shoving down our throats these past few years.

I got rid of it. The dashboard is already cluttered with useless junk. It was clearly better before the whole « oh look, now you can see more of your background picture » and the mess they added everywhere that same day.

The current dashboard « okay »? It’s an awful mess, cluttered with ads absolutely everywhere ever since they said « Oh, you want to see more of your background? We listened to you, fans! » and used that opportunity as an excuse to flood the dashboard with even more unavoidable advertisements!

This idea looks great though.

They obviously do it first for PS players in mind… more than Xbox players… so they can discover the franchise starting from ep1… sigh
