We first heard about Xbox Series X/S console exclusive Scorn all the way back in May, but now courtesy of GameSpot, we can get a first look at 13 minutes of its grotesque, unsettling gameplay.

The game is set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and sombre tapestry, taking visual inspiration from Swiss painter H.R. Giger and Polish painter Zdzislaw Beksinski. Its development began with a very small team back in 2014, and it received its first teaser trailer a couple of years later in 2016.

According to GameSpot, Scorn is currently planned for release "sometime in 2021", and the video you see above is a "near-final look" at the game. Oh, and it's coming to Xbox Game Pass as well!

Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. Every location contains its own theme, puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world.
