South of Midnight on xbox and XCX DE on switch

Not to be that guy, but I do have a feeling this won't be nearly as good as critics are saying. Felt the same about animal well and balatro last year. Both were duds for me unfortunately. I'll give it a shot since it's on GP at some point though.

If it keeps up the way it is, I'm going to say South Of Midnight(on ch 9 thus far). Next in line would be Ninja Gaiden II Black and then Avowed in third.

Hate to say it, but nothing on the Nintendo kinda stings for me lol. I've never had this slow of a nintendo year since maybe 2018?

So far so good 5 chapters in. Combat is a bit chaotic when there are more than 3 enemies, but exploration, voice acting, visuals, story, and traversal are all top notch. Really glad I'm trying it out.

Firing it up tonight.

Seems like the same darn games and prices as what I've seen multiple times this past year

Avowed and Xcx

I'll be coming off avowed, and still playing xenoblade chronicles x. This may have to wait til after doom. I'm just not sure I can keep pumping out these rpgs after M&L, DQ3, Visions of Mana, avowed, and xenoblade. I definitely need a break no matter how good this looks, which is really good.

Great stuff. I'm nearly done with avowed so I'll be set by launch. Really looking forward to it.

Avowed and XCX:DE two giant games that will be taking me well into may. At least XCX will. I'm hoping I can finish avowed by the time South of Midnight launches.

Really need to finish avowed before this launches and I'm only 25% through the game so far.

Im just hoping for some actual discounts that aren't the norm. Most of these sales it's the same games with the same discounts every time. If RE4R goes $15 or below, I'll grab it. If dragons dogma 2 gets close to $30 or so, ill nab it. If infinite wealth hits $25ish, count me in. Also, I'll keep a close eye on split fiction to see if it gets 20% off or something.

On Xbox:

• Avowed. Finally was able to start this up last night. Only played an hour so not sure where I stand just yet. The combat takes some getting used to though. I had to change to 3rd person for a better view of the world.
• Wwe 2k24 still. My son and I play a few matches every day. After seeing footage and rosters of 25, I don't feel the need buy 25 yet.

On Switch:

• Mario Wonder. Mostly for Mario day I'm playing through before xcx. If I have time I'll probably play a smaller Mario title like 3d land or nsmb 2.
• SK:Specter of Tormet i needed some comfort food gaming coming off DQ3 which I did not like, this is is getting me back on track.
• DK94 just to dabble a little

I guess I'll hold off on playing GoW3 then.

It's definitely kept me subbed. Lots of good stuff this year. Haven't even started avowed yet either.

It's worth it at 20. Do it at that price.

I've been getting burnt out on rpgs but I need to play this. Looks amazing and the fact that it's their first game, makes me want to play that much more.

@FatGuyInLilCoat I'm getting burnt out on rpgs myself. That's why I'm worried to give avowed a try. Might be better to wait it out. Not to mention, about to jump in XCX later this month 🤦‍♂️

On xbox- wwe 2k24
Alone in the Dark I'm nearly done with the 4th chapter and next chapter is the final. I think I'm going to power through and try to finish tonight/ tomorrow.

On switch- DQIII HD2D to be honest, I'm not enjoying this one anymore. I'm just trying to roll credits since I've invested so much time. I've turned down the difficulty to easy to avoid any severe grinding. I think I'm in the final 5 or so hours of this one too, and I can't wait to be able to move on.

Since I'm on a mini vacation I only brought my switch with. With that said, just DQIII HD2D.

So dope if true. I'll still play 1+2 from time to time.

It'll be a couple weeks before I dive in. Need to finish visions of mana, and I want to finally try Alone in the Dark. Thankfully that's a short one. I just can't go into another ARPG right after visions.

Not sure Gta VI will have any impact honestly. Unless they release the same week, then maybe.

Man, lowering HP on some enemies in those chapters after I just finished those recently 😳. Oh well. I did it nonetheless.

If I'm being honest, the more I play this one the less I'm liking it. I'm at what I would call the midway point after looking at a guide. So about 16hrs in, mid 20s for levels.

The novelty and beauty sort of wore off for me. What hooked me right away was playing a beautiful looking old school jrpg. It just got a bit stale though. Should've seen it coming, it's whats expected from a 30 yr old famicom game. Still trying to decide if I want to finish it or move onto something else before XCX comes out.

On chapter 5 and I'll try to bang out a couple more tn. Sweet game.

Hell yea. Enjoying the heck outta the game. Just wish camera, and platforming sections were a little better. Also a lock on, and witch time dodge would've been cool to have. But they're so minor that it doesn't hurt the overall experience. Loving it.
