Re: Microsoft Movies & TV Is Officially Ending, Which Will Have A Big Impact On Xbox

@WildConcept6 While it was never announced, I noticed the weekly movie sales had been reduced massively for at least a couple of months, we used to get multiple sales weekly recently we have been getting one sale with around 20-30 movies a week. I think in july the only sales were the Jurassic Park films, so something was going on but it's disappointing to see it shut completely.

@NeoRatt Wow 14,000+ movies/Tv that is impressive! Have you watched them all? Apple is another option, I usually buy wherever is cheaper. I don't have a huge collection though. Usually prefer streaming services to watch movies and just purchase the ones I enjoy if I see them on sale. Think I may make a list of all digital movies I have from MS just in case one day this app closes... Hope it won't!

Re: Microsoft Appears To Block Access To 'Retail Mode' Emulators On Xbox Series X|S

@OrfeasDourvas I get nervous too! Apparently Xbox insider program owners must avoid dev mode completely because of bricking the console.

Once I exited dev mode it deleted all my Xbox games on the internal ssd drive lol I stopped using dev mode for a long time after that... Do you have to pull the plug to reset your console when it freezes? Mine usually stalls for 30 seconds or so on the normal Xbox boot up screen once I have left dev mode and the console reboots. Another thing Dev mode unfortunately deletes screenshots and clears recently looked at items in the store which is annoying.

@LostSock Hi, I'm similar to you, in my 30's and don't really know much about Harry Potter, although I did watch the first one last year and really enjoyed it! I decided to get the game the other day as found a great price. I just started the game today, played the first hour so far so good! It's quite nice to play a game without knowing what it is about and what to expect for a change lol.

I read the game is set in the 1800's which is before Harry Potter's time so I don't think you need knowledge of the films/books to fully enjoy it. Probably best to watch a walkthrough on youtube and see what you think?

I dislike ultimate team. I used to enjoy the offline Fut modes when they had playing the leagues and cups v ai which was fun, but now it's all online or play ai against someones way over powered team. But I mainly play quick matches and career mode which don't require mtx. I can't really understand why anyone would spend huge amounts of money on fut, but don't really care how people spend their money... The free packs I get always suck, I would be annoyed to think I had actually paid for it lol. Shame Fifa doesn't do a daily login reward like Pes

Still undecided if I should buy tomorrow or wait... Played the trial very fun game, but the wrong fixtures in career mode for premier league teams is embarrassing. I'm not interested in the world cup schedule messes with the calendar excuse especially for a game costing £70... The best new thing I found is we can now edit player names in a created club, that is a great improvement

Re: Review: Saints Row - A Truly Disappointing Return For The Saints

MagicCat

I bought it yesterday on Eneba for £26. I have played 4 hours so far. I'm enjoying it! Sure it has it's issues it's not 60fps, graphics are not great but it's fun imo. I wanted the game originally but was put off by poor reviews & the chance to save some money. But I'm glad I ignored the negativity & bought it. I have been clearing my backlog all year & am a little burnt out from it... So playing Saints Row is a nice break from that. Probably low expectations helped too.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Own Any Xbox Games You've Never Played?

MagicCat

I have many games unplayed, but this year I have made an effort to tackle my backlog and not keep buying more games just because they are cheap in a sale... I would like to get to a stage where my backlog is completed and I just play new games. But new games are so expensive so maybe it's better to keep a big backlog of old cheap unplayed games to play while waiting for the new expensive games to drop in price?

I got San Andreas on ps2 on release day. But never got into it. I got it again on ps4 got the platinum can't really remember much about it lol. I think Vice City is my favourite. Remember at school my friend was also playing VC at the same time so everyday we discussed how we beat the missions etc I think in the end we both completed the game the same day

Re: Roundup: Here’s What The Critics Are Saying About FIFA 22

MagicCat

Not a big fan of Fut. But enjoy offline modes. It will be interesting with quick resume to play both Fifa 21 & Fifa 22 at the same time and see how much different they really are.

I found the ai is attacking more which is great, I'm facing an average of 12-15 shots a game. Went back to Fifa 21 played a few games and was facing an average of 2 shots per game.

My only issue with career mode is difficulty. I started a career and lost my first two matches 4-2. Won my next two games 2-1 & 1-0. Lost next games 4-1 and 3-1. Then won the next 4 games comfortably and the games felt much easier. It felt like the difficulty went down does anyone else experience that?
