The LotR shadow bundle is $10.49 on the US site but £23.99 on the GB site?! Are Xbox games region locked? Could I just buy it on the US store at a third of the price?
@MattWithoutFear you can indeed. It is a common issue with WB games. They always charge so much less in the US.

Psychonauts 2 being a few dollars cheaper than it was on BF is funny to me, for some reason.
Some really good games on sale. Might pick up Resi 7 and Village to complete my RE collection (but I probably won't, too many games to complete first).

@MattWithoutFear I know you're asking about Xbox One but backwards compatible game Ridge Racer 6 (Xbox 360) is region-locked. I don't know, probably all Xbox 360 games are. I'd like to know.
@BlueOcean thing is, Ive downloaded games like region-locked Phantasy Star Online 2 (at the time) and then switched back to UK and still been able to play it. Not sure about a 360 game though - might be a different story. Definitely wouldn’t want someone to waste their money!
@K1LLEGAL The thing about Ridge Racer 6 is that it's only available in USA so it's not just about saving money. I don't know if all backwards compatible games are region-locked but this one in particular is because I checked myself 😅.

@BlueOcean that’s what I meant about PSO2 - this was before it was available in the UK, was only in US. But yea I know you are talking about 360 games.

@K1LLEGAL I requested a refund and because it was right away it was granted. I might get it again if it becomes available in here or just get the USA version but that requires changing the console region to play.
@BlueOcean Good to know. Haven't had luck yet, tried changing region but I need a US postal address when I go to pay (presumably for VAT/sales tax as it changes from state to state over there)
@MattWithoutFear Xbox One/Series games that are available in both regions shouldn't present this problem, though. You can pay with prepaid gift cards that you can buy online (e.g., on Eneba).
@BlueOcean Well, some of the recent BC games don't have a digital version on 360 consoles like the new Star Wars titles, as I'd imagine that would require extra programming on the 360's Backwards compatibility, so I'd imagine those might be the exception.
@ALK Ridge Racer 6 has a digital copy.
@BlueOcean unfortunately it wasn't even giving me a total to pay as it hadn't calculated the tax that was needed; I was getting stuck before even getting to the payment option screen.
@MattWithoutFear Look for an address on google, I think Alaska doesn't pay tax, use either a sports stadium or fast food restaurant address. See if that works.
@MattWithoutFear Yep, it doesn't seem to work for everyone.
