We are in a Capcom Golden Age!

My philosophy is that options are good. If you don't want to play a game on a lesser difficulty, choose a harder one.

Lots of gatekeeping is going on in gaming.

I love it. I have enough controllers, though!

I've been playing Oblivion Remastered on PC, and I've had a terrible time getting performance in order. I have a mid-range system, and even on a mix of medium and low settings at 1080p with FSR framegen, I'm getting just dreadful performance. That's to say nothing of the UE5 stutter. I hope they make improvements because I otherwise like what they've done with it.

I hope to see more of Fable and get more information on it. I understand there will probably be a Developer Direct segment for it in January, but I'd like to hear more sooner.

It would have been nice to see Otogi 2 on there, as I want to buy it.

I was slightly concerned with the move from Vicarious Visions to Iron Galaxy, but these previews suggest they've kept up the quality!

It's nice to see TMNT: Mutants Unleashed available on Game Pass, as I was interested in buying it on sale but decided to wait for a deeper discount. I still want a physical copy eventually, but I'll give it a go on Game Pass!

I've been watching this one for years. It seems they've really put the time and effort in.

I'd better play it while I have the chance, then. It's in my library.

Ubisoft continues to enhance games and add achievements on Steam. I appreciate these efforts a lot.

It is clear to me that there is no standard, as in agreed-upon, definition of remaster. I've decided it's not even worth debating, and I'll just leave it to marketing teams to label as they will!

I'm so glad they're doing a special presentation for The Outer Worlds 2.

And I hope we get some big surprises from the showcase!

I'm sorry to be a broken record on this but I'm very concerned about the extent of the overhaul. It's no "remake" if it is simply UE5 layered over the old game with a few gameplay tweaks. I say this only because my excitement level hinges on the evenness of the experience.

I hope they gave the game the attention it deserves because it is something special in that Bethesda kind of way.

I'm looking forward to playing it when it launches for everyone on Game Pass. Not a game I need to play early, but certainly one I am going to play because I like what I'm seeing a lot!

I don't know how influential Skyrim has been since no one really does what Bethesda does. If the game has been influential, it has been so in ways that are less obvious.

I'm still not certain what the heck it is? A true remake is not EU5 bolted onto the old game. If that's what it is, I have to wonder how it is going to go over. The animations need a complete overhaul, for example. Please, don't tell me those animations are staying. They were bad when the game released.

I made my zoi and I'm currently building a simple house. Not sure what to think yet, of course, but I look forward to playing more today.

I picked up Shadows, Xenoblade Chronicles X and LoZ: Echoes of Wisdom! I'm not sure what to play first. A good problem to have!

Yeah, I'm thinking this is going to be very good. I'm gonna guess an 83 Metacritic.

The only way this will work is if they've redone the animations, which are quite bad - especially by today's standards. I think the combat could also use an update. I really hope that they've done more than just layer Unreal 5 graphics over it.

I won't buy it unless it features a bespoke console experience (no Windows interface/bloat) and features backwards compatibility with OG Xbox and 360 games.

There's a YouTuber called The Hidden One who made an excellent video debunking a lot of the controversy around this game. Worth a watch as it's pretty devastating.

As for the game itself, I think it looks good. I expect it to score in the low 80s on Metacritic. I will probably play it through Ubisoft+ as my big game purchase this month is going to be Xenoblade Chronicles X.

I enjoyed Starfield a lot and I look forward to seeing what's next for it. Even if the Shattered Space DLC wasn't great.

Starfield is a very good game but I can't agree with this level of praise haha. I think the main campaign and story quests are good in terms of narrative but I can think of better.

It's the end of an era. I went to Skype some time after MSN Messenger went away. I will just continue on with Discord from here on out.

That's just fine. Make this game the best it can be! There is lots coming from Xbox and third parties this year to keep me busy!

Iron Galaxy huh? Okay. I hope they can pull this off like Vicarious Visions did 1+2. I mean, they've got the engine and a lot of the groundwork set.

I've put almost 2 hours into the PC version and so far I am intrigued. It looks good and seems to play well, though I am still learning the controls and getting a feel for the combat. It takes time to really come to grips with a game like this but I will share more thoughts as I go.

My guess for the past couple of months has been 85. That's in range of Obsidian's other games.

It's definitely something I'll play on Game Pass. Looks very rich and detailed narratively and in terms of world design.

Just for fun, I'm going to predict a Metacritic of 85. Most of Obsidian's games land in the 80s and, just from what I've seen, it seems like an overall quality experience. We'll see.

I couldn't help myself. I had to get the physical Premium Edition. Can't wait to play it on the 13th!

I'm so glad to hear that Rebirth has done well on PC as I heard sales were underwhelming on console.

@EvenStephen7 I hear you. For me, owning an Xbox Series X makes sense because I have a large digital library on it and many of those games are backwards compatible and or have enhancements that I can't get on other platforms. It's well worth it to me, niche though my use case may be. I did buy a Switch and PS5 and have a mid-range gaming PC to play games on as well. I get something out of all of these platforms. But I can understand why many people would sell their Series console.

It's quite something that people are still spending energy complaining about this. It's not going to change anything. I for one think it's a good thing that more people will get to play Forza Horizon 5 and the other rich experiences Xbox has to offer.

It's amazing how far this game has come since it first launched. The ongoing updates must have made it a solid continuous seller.

I'll definitely get the Dino Crisis games soon! Glad they're bringing back games like these and the first three Resident Evils.
