Update []: June 11th has arrived, so that means Oblivion Remastered Update 1.1 is now officially available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and PS5! We'll remind you of the patch notes for this one below.

Original Story: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was well-received as a shadow drop, but there are some aspects of the game that could use some work or at least some fixes. Fortunately, it looks like the first major patch is on the way – with Bethesda today announcing Update 1.1.

This update will address crashes and deploy various fixes across all parts of the game. It will go live on Steam tomorrow and follow with a release across all platforms including Xbox on June 11th. Following this, Bethesda and Virtuos plan to roll out a second update focused on performance.

Here's the full rundown of the Update 1.1 patch notes (via Steam), along with a message from the team:

"Thanks for all your excitement and feedback since the launch of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered! We are actively working on two separate updates to be launched in the coming weeks, both of which will come to our Steam Beta first, before being released to all other platforms.

"The first update will be focused on quests, major bugs and blockers, and quality of life fixes. This update will enter the Steam Beta tomorrow on June 5th, and will be available on all platforms on June 11th. Our second update will focus on performance, and we will share more details when we are able."

We went hands on with Oblivion Remastered in April and while we found it to be an impressive release, we did encounter some performance issues at launch. Here's a quick sample of what we had to say at the time:

"Small technical issues aside, and wow, we are psyched. This really does feel like starting out fresh in a brand new RPG, there's been so much work done. We're sure there's lots of cool new surprises to be found down the road, alongside the pure delight of rediscovering old friends and places that have been totally revamped."
