That's reasonable to keep the game on platform for a few more years after contract. . Think sony's cry was realizing they won't be lead platform, they won't be getting marketing deals, DLC as selling points. That's what their cry is about, wild that they thought that would stay as is. Lol

If the talks of Bungie acquisition are not true and we're just a rouse, then am going to go with MS fully funding and publishing Bungie none Destiny game for Series X / S. & PC. Exclusively Which in any case, it's an awesome deal.

As for the cancelation of contracts, if I owned the company making the buy reactions for cancelation would have solution laying in wait and being handled by company attorneys. So I would have nothing to worry about as company owner.

@Medic_Alert that all depends on the select individual in charge or the group of individuals in charge. Me personally if it were me and my company buying the studio I would definitely be canceling all prior work and contracts, that's just me cause my main concern is my platform and it's fans. It may come off as Selfish to some but right to me.

@Medic_Alert So I'd guess Psychonauts 2 and Outerworlds DLC was already contracted for with Sony.Had nothing to do with Sony more to do with the publisher they were dealing with before XGS purchased them. Nothing to do with Sony at all.

First my angry & reaction depend on the title names, cause games like Final Fantasy have never interested me, now if it's a game like GTA, COD or a game of such caliber then it's a whole new thing. Sadly I have developed a system for such... Not on Xbox at release it doesn't exist, shows up six months to a year later it still doesn't exist. On the chance it's a great game I will buy it second hand from Gamestop as still a big FU to studio and those behind the BS. Win win

As soon that this all came to be my purchase will be a second-hand copy from Gamestop. I get to enjoy the game & gamestop gets my money instead of parties involved in the BS.

@KelticDevil the Insomniac & PlayGround Games purchases don't bother me . Both have only made games for platforms that purchased them . Now a EA, Activision, T2, CDPR , Ubisoft a purchase of them would definitely hurt the industry. As for PCF & Crytek being bought by MS would be wild .

Love Crysis, but would love if MS bought Ryse Son of Rome IP from Crytek and then hired them to make a follow up game .

Xbox , Halo , High Heat Baseball and Brute Force , man that was a fun few months and things got way better with Halo 2 & Xbox live . Awesome times
