I agree. As a Brit FM4 was the best racer at the time. The narration by the Top gear trio (Clarkson,Hammond and May) was an absolute treat.

I'm playing it on PS5 and so far its a charming game. Very reminiscent of the 2 prior releases but I suppose there's only so much you can do to move the series on without losing its identity. The newest thing I've come across so far is natural breeding but that needs you to add a male in to the enclosure by changing the genetics of the eggs. The campaign also seems stitched together alot better than in the previous one so far where you move to another park and their expert teaches you something new to take back to your other parks to better them (such as creating a male dinosaur) not encountered any issues so far but I did hear from the PS reviewer he encountered a crash and some minor frame issues but that was when his park got big and alot was going on at the same time. So far tho...most enjoyable.

A game with a profile as high as MGS3 should have been alot better out of the gate. Such a shame as it will hurt sales and Konami will just say "no one wants MGS anymore as it sold crap"

@Kaloudz ive not played R6S so i cant really say either way. Online games like that are defenately not my thing. R6 died with Vegas 2 for me.

@Kaloudz yeah in a co op game where your working with other players its not so bad. I have this on PS5 and its a very good game.

Shame. Whilst Motorsport wasnt as popular or easy to get in to (appeal to the masses) than the Horizon series is was far and away the better game imo but i just prefer track racers over open world. Forza motorsport 1-4 were peak, premium racing games imo and i had many a night with friends playing these sublime games. Good luck to anyone who has lost their jobs due to MS and i hope they all manage to get on their feet soon.

@Balaam_ i was going to write something along the same lines, albeit not a well worded. Im a Sony pony (that likes to keep up with gaming news from all sides) and even im bored of Sony this gen. Pouring money in to the live service genre trying to capture that "lightning in a bottle" game like Fortnite and blowing cash out of their assho**s on trash like Concord. I just dont find their games fun anymore. No new Sly, Jak, Ape escape etc. No soul, no innovation, lackluster release schedule and completely complacent. Im thinking about retiring from gaming after this gen and just continuing to play what ive got which is sad as ive been gaming since i was 5 and im 42 now.

This will flop like a wet turd. Borderlands 3 was crap and then the movie was a flop too. They will get a rude awakening if they think they will shift Borderlands 4 with an £80 price tag. Sure, there will some with more money than sence, but it wont stick with the majority of gamers who know that borderland games drop in price fast.

@Fiendish-Beaver that was in game footage not CGI it will look as good as that in game. As far as im aware Rstar dont use CGI in any of their games. Can go right from a cut scene in to gameplay. I know whatvyou mean tho. I want to see the mechanics too.

Im enjoying the game but im not a fan of no mini map as some of the areas do look similar and its been a few minutes until ive realised im back tracking or going down the wrong path a few times. Im also finding tho combat slightly complicated for a couple of the characters. As is id give it a 7 or 8 but that could swing either way depending on if i nail the combat or not.

As someone that dabbles in RPGs but doesnt claim to be good, i found this game so difficult to get in to and play. Maybe now the final patch is out i will give it a whirl again.

@Widey85 sounds like it could be fun. Overcooked used to make me and my wife argue 😂. Might try moving out. Not physically but if it makes us argue like overcooked did she might just kick me out 😂

@nomither6 see i would call a wrench a big heavy duty adjustable spanner. Language makes my head hurt sometimes. I have to deal with the American airbase when they order car parts and it still makes me laugh when they order rotors instead of disks or lug nuts instead of wheel bolts 😂

@nomither6 Well that throws a spanner in the works then 😂. We just call it American football over here, hey atleast i actually like your sport tho. I cant stand our football. Only 3 sports games ive ever had are F1, PGA and Madden.

@nomither6 wrong lol. It was named Football by the British, where the game originated from. Its like me saying ice hockey is called stick puck because we have our own sport that we call ice hockey in the UK and Canada is wrong 🤦. Call it what you want but it originated as Football so its Football.

My pet hate with all tomb raider games. The first was perfect with just the wild creatures. As soon as they started adding in humans the games lost something for me.

@OldGamer999 I mainly play on the PS5 but i agree with you. Doesnt matter if your team green, blue or red. None of these major companies care about us. They aren't our friends, dont care if we all get to play whatever games on all consoles. Its all just face. All they care about is the share holders and making money. Were all cash cows to them.

@Valkyrian thats like saying im buying lunch for everyone at work because i want to but next week i expect them to buy me lunch back. Doesnt work that way. Sure it would be good for everyone to be playing all these GaaS games because it gives more people the chance to enjoy more games, keeps servers populated and income flowing to hopefully invest back in to said games. These games would have been offered to blue and red tho not asked for. It certainly wasnt out of the goodness of MS heart. I csn see why these companies hold on to their console exclusives but a Gaas game? Not so much so Helldivers would be a great addition. Maybe something will happen with that one.

Would have appreciated gyro in Deathloop for the ps5. The fine tuning is crap. Takes me ages to line up a headshot or track moving enemy.

For the sake of £5 quid i might grab this on xbox too.

Deus ex is a great game.

As someone pretty new to xbox and owning a series S so not being able to pick up a cheap physical copy id love Dead rising 3. The digital price is a joke at 50 quid still. Id imagine this was on gold years ago tho.

Mortal kombat is a nice addition. Played the heck out of it on ps4. Very polished beat em up. Must admit, as a playstation fan boy im really quite pleased with my new series S. If it wasn't for the fact of very limited internal storage which is needed for the ever increasing S/X enhanced games i would use it as my main console. I store everything not enhanced on an external HDD but i refuse to buy one of Microsofts overpriced SSD add ons. Not having to pay for xbox unlimited is also amazing. Earned myself 12000 points in the first 3 weeks. Enough to buy another months unlimited.

Its ok but without sounding like a complete nob it feels just like every other Halo game imo. Not quite sure why i expected anything different really so thats on me🤷‍♂️. I was never a massive fan of the games to begin with despite completing 1 to 4 before leaving the Microsoft side of gaming. I will probarbly drop in and out of the campaign from time to time but its not one to hold my attention like i remember Gears 1 and 2 doing. Happy for everyone who is invested in it tho.

ME is a quality game but then again it always was back in the day. Been playing It takes two with my wife (that doesnt like video games) so hands down that steals it for me for that reason alone.

Witcher 2, Witcher 3 GOTY edition and assassins creed origins gold edition as i hear its one of the best with some great DLC. Really wanted MGS collection before it left the sale but as its been removed from purchase it doesnt look like its gonna happen. Got to watch what i buy on the xbox really and the S's HDD fills up rather quick. My "im just sticking to gamepass" is slowly becoming an after thought.

@Kramlar this sucks. First game i went to when i see it was on sale (im new to xbox) gutted when i see it had been rrmoved but its still amongst the sale items. Ive checked every day to see if its back up but still not available.

Id love an elite controller but not at 2/3 the cost of my series S. Crazy price for a pad.

I really like the look of Dead rising 3. As a series S owner id love to play it without having to drop £40 on a last gen launch title. Id imagine ive missed the boat by some months or years on this one tho.

Tempted to go for a couple of these. I wish i could see the price on the xbox app tho. It just lets me install it as opposed to showing me the price. Maybe its something im missing as im new to xbox.
(EDIT) So MGS HD is showing as on offer but can be purchased as its been temporarily taken down 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

As someone who has just come come back to xbox after a 7 year break im really not feeling Horizon 5. Its far too "bro'd" up for my liking with alot of the characters being tediously annoying and "street" in the dialogue department. Its like when you watched Fast and furious when you were 14 and thought it was so cool but now say to yourself "do people actually talk like that" . Maybe i should install FH4 and give that a bash instead and see how it compares. Id take a track based Motorsport over open world anyday but since FM4 i feel they have lost their way with the career modes too although im enjoying 7 to a degree as the racing is still good.

As a new Xbox owner i can confirm alot of the above. I would have rather have had an X for the disk drive but settled for an S simply as a gamepass machine. X was sold out everywhere. Between the PS4, series S and my switch ive got 95% of bases covered.

Thats good for me. I held off on buying it on ps4 for obvious reasons but i will try it for free on gamepass.

Would love to buy a couple but as i only got an xbox last week i will just stick to gamepass for now. That series S SSD doesnt take long to fill either 😬
