Towards the end of November, Silent Hill 2 finally started rolling out on Xbox Series X|S after a year's PS5 console exclusivity, with a 50% launch discount. This was a pretty generous release offer from Konami, and we weren't sure when it was going to expire - but the Xbox Store is now showing that fans will at least be able to take advantage of it through the new year.
Yep, after doing a little browsing on the store over the weekend (for research purposes, of course), we spotted that Silent Hill 2 now says that its 50% launch discount expires in 23 days at the time of posting. That would make the deal available until at least Thursday, January 8th.

When Silent Hill 2 first went live with the discount last month, there was no expiry date attached to it, but that's now changed more recently to show this new offer timeline. There's always a chance that Konami could extend this once the 23 days are up (we see this fairly often on the Xbox Store), but either way, it's probably worth grabbing it before then if you want to be sure you can get 50% off.
We're certainly going to be tempted to do just that, especially with the Holiday period almost upon us. Quick personal Christmas present of Silent Hill 2 on the Xbox Store? Why not, eh!
