I started playing this game over a year ago and thought "that would look and play so much better if it was a 3rd person game...". Dropped it and now, I'll definitely sink some good hours into it.

I didn't find the animations janky. They are not supposed to move like humans after all so I'm more than happy to give it a 2nd chance.

Nowadays, people (and critics) are judging before even trying, just to ensure they have news first... sigh

@Exerion76 not at all. Same here after +20hrs. The fact enemies won't respawn made the world feel empty and boring. Chests all over the place, like a mobile game, limited weapons and generic characters... Well, not for me at all.

The Outer Worlds 2 is 100x times better in every way. Give it a go and rejoice

Dying Light 2 took 2 years to be fixed (and IMHO didn't deliver) so I'll wait a few more months until The Beast leaves its early access state in disguise. DL1 it's still the best of the series

Edited: 52 here and I feel your pain. I have hundreds of hours on F76 between XBOX And PS5 (sold) so I can see myself getting back to it after they release the new update. Too bad they won't use the new engine (Starfield)

They didn't even bother to remake/remaster the game using the new engine. Bethesda is becoming a joke, and not a funny one. At this point, I can only expect them to re-re-re-release Skyrim

I gave Evil West a go yesterday for about an hour, and it’s just not for me. Nothing against the old-school approach - it has its charm - but it’s hard to invest time in it when there are so many other great options out there that at least try to shake things up, even if they’re not reinventing the wheel.

Games like Vanquish and Bayonetta still hold up well, despite being from the Xbox 360 era.

Indiana Jones was a great surprise and I really loved it. But Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won my heart, big time.

I broke my own rules and pre-ordered BF6 after the two open betas. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun — even knowing it wasn’t the final build and that they’d be tweaking things over the coming months.

I get that both franchises have their audiences, but there’s just been way too much COD lately, and not all of it has been enjoyable. The frantic pace and those colourful skins — which feel more suited to Fortnite — just aren’t for me.

@Lup I'm with you. I genuinely don’t get the love for Far Cry 3 and its QTE-heavy boss fights. Sure, it was a solid leap forward from FC2 in terms of graphics and gameplay mechanics, but that’s where it ends for me.

Personally, Far Cry 5 is the standout. Some argue its landscape isn’t the most varied, and that’s a fair critique. But the story? Provocative, unsettling in all the right ways, and layered with themes that hit harder than expected. The main antagonist was incredibly charismatic, with motivations that felt deeper and more compelling than any other in the series. And that ending - hands down the best in the franchise. What really sealed it for me were the side characters and companions. I actually cared about them, and their side quests were some of the most creative and memorable I’ve played

@niggyt2004 it's been in early access since forever - well, July 2023 - so I would not hold my breath. At least they are constantly fixing, fine tuning and adding more content to it.

I tried so hard to love this game (played over 30hrs on the XBOX X) but it's just like a toxic relationship: you try to justify their actions and mistakes, but in the end you just get frustrated and end up regretting the time you spent together.

Maybe I'll come back to it in a few years when they release the GOTY ultimate and revised edition. Maybe.

Level 12 so far and I'm loving it. It feels like Battlefield 3-4 and the physics make a HUGE difference. The sound is amazing and I'm impressed that I did not get any major glitch or bug, which is expected from EA (early access AND EA) games. That said, I'm itching to pre order it. I should not but... damn!

Saying that I'm excited is an understatement. It looks like the BF we've been waiting for since BF4 and these trailers gave me the chills!

COD is trying to be so many things, but it's failing. Miserably. DMZ was the best part of the game, and I only bother to play BR Casual now and then.

No pre-orders, but very high hopes for this one.

Back in those days, I made the mistake of preordering 2042, and, oh boy, what a waste of money. Lesson(s) learned. Plural 'cause I also made the same mistake with Mass Effect Andromeda and Anthem and, guess what, all from EA.

I will wait for the combo: VERY good reviews + dozens of patches + generous discount + nice playerbase + anti-cheating.

I hate having to fight against Beavis, unicorns and all those bizarre skins in COD, but I'm still having fun with Battle Royale Casual. I really miss DMZ...

I've tried Skull & Bones. Even with my expectations set to low, I must say I was very disappointed with the combat.

The game looks simply amazing but... that's it. Such a missed opportunity. All they had to do was to replicate the combat from AC Black Flag.

Back to Sid Meier's Pirates again.

After reaching level 32, I just realized I haven't returned the katana - early game - and Jaufree quest is broken... I can't find a way to jumpstart it no matter what I do (tried pickpocketing, killing him, fast travels, returning to the sewer...). I'm coming back once or if they fix it. Until then, no more Bethesda for me

It has begun 😅 Jokes aside, nice to see things like these. I've been playing through XCLOUD on the Steam Deck and it's a blast! Even COD multiplayer and Battle Royale, which feels almost like black magic

I've finished the first a few days ago and I just say it's a very solid game. It doesn't have the budget of AAA but its heart is in the right place. Decent story and (mostly) graphics. I'll definitely pick this sending

As a longtime fan of Remedy, I’ve played every single game they’ve released, and what I’ve always loved most is their storytelling.

Coming from Warhammer Vermintide 2, I was hoping FBC: Firebreak would offer a similar drive to keep playing, but even after the patch, I just couldn’t find the motivation. The narrative depth I’ve come to expect from Remedy is missing here, and that’s a dealbreaker for me.

I’ll be keeping an eye out for updates on Control 2 or maybe a new AW2 DLC and I hope FBC success (or lack of it) won't impact future projects.

IMHO Doom 2016 IS the Doom remake. Besides, there are so many amazing Doom mods out there that it's a bit pointless to have another one. Unless it's Doom 3, then I'm all in

I was quite surprise with Atomfall in a very positive way. Apparently this DLC won't be a direct follow up to the main story - and I'm super curious to know what's next

Still recovering from Elden Ring and coming back from time to time so, hard pass for me too.

I'll totally play this game again (spent dozens of hours on the PS5). I prefer the winter setting from Div 1 but Div 2 is a much better package with less bullet sponge enemies, a great endgame and better loot

Atomfall was such a great surprise. I played it start to finish in less than 2 weeks which is really unusual for me.

I'm really happy it wasn't another Fallout wannabe. Even though the mechanics aren't perfect and it's a bit rough around the edges, the story was engaging enough and I can't wait for the DLC

It's fair to say we (Xbox) are the beta testers for PS5 players. They will get the game bug free. Nah, it's Bethesda we're talking here, so it's never going to be bug free

(I have dozens of hours on Starfield - 'cause I tried REALLY hard to love it - but it didn't click for me. Like someone posted here before, maybe I'll come back for Startfield 2, if that ever happens)

I've lost account of the number of times I've installed and uninstalled S2. It was my most anticipated game of the year, and it turned out being my biggest disappointment and frustration (even more than Starfield).

Probably it will be in a great shape for a GOTY edition, early 2026

I love the fact that some games are not for everyone and we all have different picks.

I haven't touched Indiana Jones, Obscure 33 and nor will Doom at least for the next 2-3 months so I dare to say Gamepass is having one of the (if not THE) strongest year so far

I'm a huge fan of GTA II. If this one follows the same path (or drives the same road), I'm totally in! It looks promising. I'm curious about the driving mechanics so I hope they release a demo

After I played RDR2 (for the 2nd time) at 60fps, I couldn't go back to 30fps.

But I totally understand. Some people can't care less about 60/120FPS and probably they're happier than me 🤣

@themightyant I totally agree. I'm one of those who will wait for the 60fps update, along with a dozen patches. No rush. We've waited for so long, I can wait a few extra months to get a better experience

I genuinely cried twice: first when I heard the intro song and second time when they announced that it's going to be available today. Best Easter ever!!!

I'm absolutely hooked on Atomfall! The way it refuses to hold your hand is incredible—it perfectly complements the narrative. The smaller areas are a genius touch, making loading and reloading impressively quick.

I wasn’t expecting the next Fallout, and honestly, I’m glad it isn’t. Sure, some might argue it’s not the prettiest, largest, or most complex game out there, but wow, it’s so much fun!

As for Stalker 2, it was my most anticipated game on GamePass, and I can’t express how disappointed I was—and still am. I haven’t finished it and, truthfully, I doubt I ever will. Avowed, on the other hand, is enjoyable, but it feels a bit too… cheerful for my taste.

Atomfall scratched the itch I've been yearning to satisfy since The Outer Worlds and I can't wait to get back to it!!!
