@dreadful I never said that. I like that fact that they are taking some risks (Deathloop, Hellblade 2, As Dusk Falls, Pentiment) and there's an audience for these games that I might not be part of.
Honest question: what games (or type of) do you play on Xbox or somewhere else that you would like to see more frequently?
The stop motion gives me some "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" vibes. It might be a risky creative decision for a game but let's see how it the gameplay feels like, and having the option to turn it off is a nice option.
I love games that respect our time so 12hrs is more than fine
@dreadful reading most of your previous comments it's clear that you never have anything positive or constructive to say. Have you ever considered replacing your XBOX for something you like? Or you could play "the silent game" for a change
I've played for hundreds of hours on both Series X and PS5 and loved most of it. However, a graphic overhaul would make such a difference. It still looks like a transition from X360 to XONE (or PS3 to PS4 if you prefer) with washed-out and blurry textures and a bland color palette. I'm not asking for STARFIELD-level graphics, but at least somewhere in between. One can always wish for...
Lots of interesting games. Again, I don't understand why people complain so much about Gamepass. BO6 alone is worth the money and I can't wait for Stalker 2!!! I sold my PS5 last year and when I miss some of their games, I get them on Steam. Happy times
Strong month for me on both console and PC (never played SC2). I'm curious about which games people would like to see coming to gamepass cause it looks like most are never happy. Maybe Mario or Zelda
@Darude84 wise decision. As much I would love to love it, their "less is more" approach turned me off big time. The premise is great. Execution, not so much
@Romans12 100% agree! And not spending dozens of hours looking for (useless) collectables, uninspired side quests or dying for the 1000th time.
Don't get me wrong: I love the AC & Far Cry series, and (most of) From Software games, but 6hrs of silly fun (with a few more for different endings) doesn't sound bad at all for a Friday night
@GuyinPA75 I dropped at the exact same spot, even before the first patch came out. I wasn't sure if that was something that had to be fixed or it was just me. I'm glad I'm not alone
@luke88 I played after the 60fps/bugs patch start to finish (both solo and with friends) and it's a solid 7. Nothing groundbreaking but it's fun, not much grinding, the story (and notes around) has a Netflix's Midnight Mass vibe, loot loop is satisfying and the game is mostly stable. Don't expect a brilliant AI from the enemies though. Its... passable.
@trev666 I feel your pain. It's my guilty pleasure as well. Even worse, 'cause I had a +270 LVL on the PS5 and started from the ground up on the XBOX and I don't regret it at all
@abe_hikura exactly! As an example: I love From Software however I've never seen people complaining about them using the same formula over and over (and over... Armored Core, I'm talking to you too) with a few tweaks here and there. And they have been doing this since Demon Souls. Sure, WAY more hits than miss but, they didn't even bother to change their UI. Still, I play most of their games
I tried at launch and I was sadly disappointed as I had huge expectations.
After the new update, lvl 10 and +8hrs in, I can tell it's a very different game, for the better. Overall it's very stable (although I had one crash, but didn't lose any progress), better weapon handling & combat, the world is more populated, I'm getting better loot (but less epics). 60fps is a must for combat heavy games like this one and they nailed it.
The AI isn't the brightest however they throw you tons of baddies which make things pretty hard sometimes.

Great review! It looks like, even if not reinventing the wheel, this one is everything most of us were waiting for (and some!)
