Ori is so amazing. SO good. I've paid $15 for a lot of indie games, but Ori is probably the best game I've ever gotten for that price. I would literally buy a console for that game if I didn't have one already. I kid you not. If it's on sale then that's a really good deal. $11.25? That's a steal.
@lucieisawesome I could be wrong but I think this game was slated for the Wii, then switched to Wii U, then was suddenly cancelled like a month ago. I think this is the same one
Rare Replay Rise of the Tomb Raider ReCore Gears 4 Gears Ultimate Halo 5
All must haves.
Fable Legends is MP a centric so not for me, though I'm sure it will be a great game, Gigantic I must've missed because I know nothing about it, Forza 6 is not for me- Horizons I love but the SIMs I hate, and Sea of Thieves looks very promising but will have to see more first.
This is a piece of gaming history right here. I feel obligated to buy it just on that premise alone, besides the fact it's 30 games for $30, well, $23.99 for me through Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked.
I'm really saddened to hear all you guys don't enjoy playing the Wii U. It's one of my absolute favorite consoles to date- of course, I enjoy all the consoles. I don't think I've ever actually owned one I didn't love (except maybe the Vita, cough cough).
It's definitely got an assortment of different genres than X1 or PS4, genres that I still love playing. Like DKC Tropical Freeze, that was one of my favorite games that's ever released. Pikmin 3 is another fantastic game- and you'lll never play anything like it anywhere else. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, that's a must have right there. Mario 3D World, Zelda Windwaker, Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 1 and 2, Wonderful 101, Wii Sports Club Golf (it's amazing trust me) and by goodness SPLATOOOOON!
If you're going to sell your consoles, please I beg you to play Splatoon before you do. In fact I would hope you would give all of those games a go before you do. But if you absolutely had to pick one, play Splatoon. And if you still have it 6 months from now- Xenoblade X, Star Fox Zero, Mario Maker, Yoshi's Wooly World, Fast Racing Neo, Fatal Frame and Devil's Third all look worth playing, or at least looking into.
As for this game, it's ok, I enjoyed it on Wii U. It certainly wasn't the best game I've ever played but it wasn't bad either. But there's a lot of great games coming out on Xbox One I rate as a higher priority than this.
Of course I'm buying it! I was hoping it'd take after F-Zero more than Wipeout, but any futuristic racer is a plus in my book.
I will buy it in my never ending quest to find the next great futuristic racer that can rival F-Zero GX. I do believe that day is fast approaching with Fast Racing Neo on Wii U, but seeing as that game is still a good six months off, I will gladly invest $15 on Quantum Rush. If even there is a slight possible chance this could rival the greats it's worth risking $15 for.
Unfortunately I'm getting new carpet laid and already started packing my belongings in boxes. And my Xbox One is buried somewhere in the closet in a bin. I'll have to wait until after July 9 when I unpack to buy the game and give it a go
Alright Rare. I know The Stamper brothers are gone, and pretty much all of the original staff, but your spirit and legacy lives on in this game is your chance to redeem yourself.
Ok so wait. If I buy on PS4 I get just the game, but if I buy on Xbox I get three games? And if I buy Fallout on PS4 I get one game, but if I buy on Xbox I get two games?
Dude MS killed it this E3. KILLED IT. Last year it was Nintendo bar none, but this year I don't even need to see anyone else's presentation. MS blew it away, it's a wrap.
Set aside The Witcher 3 for SPLATOON. Man is that a great game. Splatoon has completely changed my attitude towards shooters. This is easily the best shooter I have ever played in my entire life. And I've played quite a few.
Fenix Fire had a kickstarter for a game called Source. I backed it but it never hit its goal. Think it's coming to consoles anyways, just gonna take longer.
I am eagerly awaiting a review for this game. I started paying attention to this once I learned there was no subscription needed. Curious to see how funny it actually is.
See, this is why I wish I could be a kid again. Because when I was a kid I could play games with my brother all day together. Now, we might play local co-op once every five years when he visits for Christmas.
Target had this listed a few weeks ago for pre order for $250, and my brother had me order one for him. Then they changed the SKU post-purchase to the Halo 5 LE.... ya.
So I contacted them and they gave me a $50 gift card for the incorrect listing. My brother said to not re-place the order because he didn't want it for $350. So I basically got a free $50 gift card for nothing.
Haha, I remember playing this on PS2 back in the day. I recall trying to hack with various lines of code at the start of the game. Ya, it was an ok game I guess. But I really loved it at the time because I was such a fan of the movies.
Wipeout was ok, but I'm an F Zero fan through and through. And I still haven't seen a futuristic racer even come close to matching the absolute perfection of GX on the Cube.
I would be excited for Plants vs Zombies, if it weren't for the fact the last one was online only / multiplayer only. And I already know this one will follow suit.
As for the rest, well, not interested in the slightest. Except for Mirrors Edge- that looks exciting. Unless they make that online only too.
@Utena-mobile Oh I know! I just crafted the Samus Varia Suit and Arm Cannon (Light Bow Gun). I'm not really a gunner (main insect glaive, long sword, hunting horn and dual blades, and more recently the lance), but I'm glad I made the set because now I discovered how fun it is!
336 hours in, and still going strong. The great thing about Monster Hunter is you can sink 400 hours into the game, change weapons, and it becomes an entirely new game again. Every hunt becomes different, every strategy has to change and every skill sets get re-prioritized.
Should join us on the MH forums on N-Life if you ever wanna hunt online. We're always hanging around hunting together...
This is awesome, and EXACTLY the kind of news bit I need. I don't always get around to checking the site every day and sometimes if you don't catch a piece of news in an article you won't find out about it for months on end.
This is a perfect way for me to catch up on any news I missed over the week, including any digital releases for Xbox One.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Xenoblade Chronicles. I really need to get back to Ori but the force is strong with these two. I just can't seem to break their gravitational pull.
@DRL Pretty much what I was thinking. If the price is right I'll go ahead and scoop it up. I like that some of these PC only games are coming to Xbox. Imo that's MS' wild card they should have been playing a long time ago. And with Wasteland 2 on the way, I think this could be a very good thing.
Truth is, MH4U should have outsold Majora's Mask if all was right in the world. But all is not right in the world, and mediocre games sell truckloads while the truly spectacular, once-a-decade gems fight tooth and nail just to break the top ten for a week (not to say Majora's Mask is mediocre, cause it's brilliant, but in comparison to Monster Hunter... Yeah, it's kind of mediocre- any game seems mediocre in comparison to MH).
Oh well.
I'll be interested to see if Ori and the Blind Forest increases X1 sales. I know it's just a $15 digital game BUT it's the strongest argument I've seen for owning an X1 to date. If I didn't already own one, I'd buy one just to play Ori, and that's a fact. I don't care how small a game is, when its THAT good, I gotta play it at any cost. We'll see if I'm alone on that sentiment come next week- I hope I'm not.
@Gamer83 I've found it to be very close to Bayonetta, which is a good thing. I loved Bayo and Bayo2, and it sucks that there really aren't many other games like it. But if you're a fan of the genre, DmC and Wonderful 101 are the only 2 other games I know of that can scratch that itch.
The jumping felt a little off kilter, but you get used to it after a while. The combat is excellent though. I was surprised how good it was tbh...

I like schmups. May have to pick this one up...
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Sixty Four
I'm tempted to play some Ori and the Blind Forest tomorrow, there's just SO many games in my backlog now.
And I may get another round in with Fire Emblem (GBA). Getting near the end of Eliwood's quest.
Re: Space Shooter Hyper Void Coming to Xbox OneĀ
Heck ya! That's what's up.
Re: New TRON Title Heading to Xbox One
Oh nice.
Pretty catchy puns in this article. I like it
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Sixty Three
Spent all day Friday and Saturday moving my stuff into the larger bedroom after having new carpet installed.
So now it's time for some Fire Emblem (GBA) and maybe a little Splatoon or Arkham Knightt tomorrow.
Re: Updated: Xbox Ultimate Game Sale Starts Early
@EternalDragonX
Ah man you can't really mean that
Ori is so amazing. SO good. I've paid $15 for a lot of indie games, but Ori is probably the best game I've ever gotten for that price. I would literally buy a console for that game if I didn't have one already. I kid you not. If it's on sale then that's a really good deal. $11.25? That's a steal.

Didn't they cancel Heroes after like 2 seasons? Or did I just lose track of it?
Re: Weirdness: N64 Controller Modded to Work with Xbox One
I liked the N64 controller. For its time it was the most comfortable controller there was.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Sixty Two
Wish I could be playing Yoshi's Wooly World but NA doesn't release til October. Bravo to @SuperKMx for impeccable gaming taste
Wii U: Fire Emblem (GBA).....Splatoon
PS4: Batman Arkham Knight
X1: [nothing]
3DS: [nothing]
Vita: [nothing]
That was the plan anyways. But so far I've mostly been binging on Fire Emblem
Re: Review: Payday 2: Crimewave Edition (Xbox One)
Was hardly interested anyways. Now I'm certainly not interested.
Re: Get Fallout 3 Early with Your Fallout 4 Preorder
I sure hope the good games make the compatibility cut, not just CoD/CoD/CoD/GTA
Re: Korean Side-Scroller Ender of Fire Wants to Blaze a Trail in November
Anyone play this game yet? Is it any good?
Re: Review: Quantum Rush: Champions (Xbox One)
Great review, but indeed this is bad news.
Well, I must thank the staff for reviewing this game for us. It's certainly saved me $15, or however much this cost.
Maybe they'll patch it up, maybe not. Such a shame too, but I'm sure more will come down the line...
Re: Poll: Which Xbox One Exclusives From E3 2015 Will You Be Picking Up?
