Re: Updated: Xbox Ultimate Game Sale Starts Early

Ah man you can't really mean that

Ori is so amazing. SO good. I've paid $15 for a lot of indie games, but Ori is probably the best game I've ever gotten for that price. I would literally buy a console for that game if I didn't have one already. I kid you not. If it's on sale then that's a really good deal. $11.25? That's a steal.

Great review, but indeed this is bad news.

Well, I must thank the staff for reviewing this game for us. It's certainly saved me $15, or however much this cost.

Maybe they'll patch it up, maybe not. Such a shame too, but I'm sure more will come down the line...

Re: Poll: Which Xbox One Exclusives From E3 2015 Will You Be Picking Up?

JaxonH

Rare Replay
Rise of the Tomb Raider
ReCore
Gears 4
Gears Ultimate
Halo 5

All must haves.

Fable Legends is MP a centric so not for me, though I'm sure it will be a great game, Gigantic I must've missed because I know nothing about it, Forza 6 is not for me- Horizons I love but the SIMs I hate, and Sea of Thieves looks very promising but will have to see more first.

I'm really saddened to hear all you guys don't enjoy playing the Wii U. It's one of my absolute favorite consoles to date- of course, I enjoy all the consoles. I don't think I've ever actually owned one I didn't love (except maybe the Vita, cough cough).

It's definitely got an assortment of different genres than X1 or PS4, genres that I still love playing. Like DKC Tropical Freeze, that was one of my favorite games that's ever released. Pikmin 3 is another fantastic game- and you'lll never play anything like it anywhere else. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, that's a must have right there. Mario 3D World, Zelda Windwaker, Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 1 and 2, Wonderful 101, Wii Sports Club Golf (it's amazing trust me) and by goodness SPLATOOOOON!

If you're going to sell your consoles, please I beg you to play Splatoon before you do. In fact I would hope you would give all of those games a go before you do. But if you absolutely had to pick one, play Splatoon. And if you still have it 6 months from now- Xenoblade X, Star Fox Zero, Mario Maker, Yoshi's Wooly World, Fast Racing Neo, Fatal Frame and Devil's Third all look worth playing, or at least looking into.

As for this game, it's ok, I enjoyed it on Wii U. It certainly wasn't the best game I've ever played but it wasn't bad either. But there's a lot of great games coming out on Xbox One I rate as a higher priority than this.

Re: Out Today: Quantum Rush: Champions (Xbox One)

JaxonH

Of course I'm buying it! I was hoping it'd take after F-Zero more than Wipeout, but any futuristic racer is a plus in my book.

I will buy it in my never ending quest to find the next great futuristic racer that can rival F-Zero GX. I do believe that day is fast approaching with Fast Racing Neo on Wii U, but seeing as that game is still a good six months off, I will gladly invest $15 on Quantum Rush. If even there is a slight possible chance this could rival the greats it's worth risking $15 for.

Unfortunately I'm getting new carpet laid and already started packing my belongings in boxes. And my Xbox One is buried somewhere in the closet in a bin. I'll have to wait until after July 9 when I unpack to buy the game and give it a go

See, this is why I wish I could be a kid again. Because when I was a kid I could play games with my brother all day together. Now, we might play local co-op once every five years when he visits for Christmas.

Re: Limited Edition White Xbox One Master Chief Collection Hardware Bundle Announced for US

JaxonH

Target had this listed a few weeks ago for pre order for $250, and my brother had me order one for him. Then they changed the SKU post-purchase to the Halo 5 LE.... ya.

So I contacted them and they gave me a $50 gift card for the incorrect listing. My brother said to not re-place the order because he didn't want it for $350. So I basically got a free $50 gift card for nothing.

Thank you MS and Target. You're too kind to me

Oh I know! I just crafted the Samus Varia Suit and Arm Cannon (Light Bow Gun). I'm not really a gunner (main insect glaive, long sword, hunting horn and dual blades, and more recently the lance), but I'm glad I made the set because now I discovered how fun it is!

336 hours in, and still going strong. The great thing about Monster Hunter is you can sink 400 hours into the game, change weapons, and it becomes an entirely new game again. Every hunt becomes different, every strategy has to change and every skill sets get re-prioritized.

Should join us on the MH forums on N-Life if you ever wanna hunt online. We're always hanging around hunting together...

Re: Weekly Wrap: Mathematical Edition

JaxonH

This is awesome, and EXACTLY the kind of news bit I need. I don't always get around to checking the site every day and sometimes if you don't catch a piece of news in an article you won't find out about it for months on end.

This is a perfect way for me to catch up on any news I missed over the week, including any digital releases for Xbox One.

Great job guys...

Re: Goat Simulator Heading to Xbox One and Xbox 360 Next Month

@DRL
Pretty much what I was thinking. If the price is right I'll go ahead and scoop it up. I like that some of these PC only games are coming to Xbox. Imo that's MS' wild card they should have been playing a long time ago. And with Wasteland 2 on the way, I think this could be a very good thing.

Re: Nintendo Beats Them All in February US Sales Race

JaxonH

Truth is, MH4U should have outsold Majora's Mask if all was right in the world. But all is not right in the world, and mediocre games sell truckloads while the truly spectacular, once-a-decade gems fight tooth and nail just to break the top ten for a week (not to say Majora's Mask is mediocre, cause it's brilliant, but in comparison to Monster Hunter... Yeah, it's kind of mediocre- any game seems mediocre in comparison to MH).

Oh well.

I'll be interested to see if Ori and the Blind Forest increases X1 sales. I know it's just a $15 digital game BUT it's the strongest argument I've seen for owning an X1 to date. If I didn't already own one, I'd buy one just to play Ori, and that's a fact. I don't care how small a game is, when its THAT good, I gotta play it at any cost. We'll see if I'm alone on that sentiment come next week- I hope I'm not.

@Gamer83
I've found it to be very close to Bayonetta, which is a good thing. I loved Bayo and Bayo2, and it sucks that there really aren't many other games like it. But if you're a fan of the genre, DmC and Wonderful 101 are the only 2 other games I know of that can scratch that itch.

The jumping felt a little off kilter, but you get used to it after a while. The combat is excellent though. I was surprised how good it was tbh...
