@Friendly It is a day one release as that's when the game releases on console. The game may have existed prior. But, the term day one means day one release on console.

Oh look. Series X is the same as PS5. Where's the people saying series S is holding the generation back? Those which don't understand how the development of games. Look at it this way. PC games. Make a game that runs in Ultra. But also runs in minimum. That's is. How difficult is it to understand.

Considering from before it released on Xbox you were getting around 40-60k average player count. Last night it got to 120k. So I would say it's doing rather well

@Ricky-Spanish That was a Series S issue. X was fine. I know this as I have an S and a mate has an X.

@GuyinPA75 You obviously don't understand how game development works. Games are made for the series X. Then toned down for the S. The game wouldn't be any different on the X if the S didn't exist.

@Ittxzza So a game that has a huge fan base, has roughly 30-50k concurrent players, won 5 bafta awards. You might not like it but obviously it isn't trash.

Logic dictates that 60fps is only beneficial for fast moving games. We are more than happy to watch films at 24 FPS with fast scenes and no one complains. If you don't tell people they won't notice. The generation of the bigger the number the better it is. I recall someone who said they wanted to get IPv6 because they thought it would make it faster. Unfortunately most of the younger gen don't actually understand technology only a higher number is better.

The same was said about Spotify and Netflix. Look what happened. The medium like all others are moving away from one off physical purchase to digital libraries. Its only a matter of time. Did we think when we used to insert a cartridge into our console to play a game that in the future we would be carrying something around in our pocket that can stream the games, play music and watch films. No! Yet here we are.

Moaning gamer logic. £400 console. All games should run fixed 120fps/True 4K. Normal gamer logic. Yeah to get that spec the console would be over a grand. My logic. Is it playable? Does it have a stable 30fps? Does it have minimum 1080p? If all are yes then I'm happy.

I did this after it released. Played shadow, mirage, avatar, skull and bones. So £100 of games for £15.

When it comes to multiplayer games I feel they should be crossplatform. Larger community means bigger income for the publisher and developer. Basically make a game and say "Let's restrict it's access so we get less money" I feel the only things that can be justified as exclusive are single player games. Multiplayer just seems ridiculous to restrict.

Game had potential and some good features but the world world is barren. London looks too shiny. The car handling is horrible. NPCs are pretty non existent. Missions are very repetitive and rather boring. Story is quite interesting at times. You can tell it was a rush job with the obvious from the publishers "Yeah looks really good is it finished?" "No we have quite a bit more to add and tweak!" "So it's good enough to release?" "No!" "Cool we will release it then!"

I'm going to call it......stream box. Purely a streaming console

@swedetrap it was my favourite game of the year (2024). It's a shame they stopped supporting it. It had a lot of potential to carry on

I doubt they will really show anything except possible trailers for games already announced and a bit of talk on future prospects. They will leave the good stuff for their showcase.

@dreadful They really need to try something new. It's just always WW2. The last one that I enjoyed was V2.

We all know consoles don't make money the games do. Microsoft getting Activison was a crafty move as they are now up 61% revenue. The console might not do well but their content does. It goes to other platforms which they get the money from. You then realise. Wait a minute. If I have an Xbox and pay 11.99 I get the game for a month. They are taking advantage of the Netflix tactic. They are pushing the Xbox everywhere. The console is not important to them. It's the gaming industry revenue that is pushing them forward.

I am still playing SOD2. Still love it. As the studio is quite small and they have listened to the community throughout the past 6 years. I have faith they will make a game which their community will love. Keeping the same premises but enhancing the experience.

Unfortunately only one on the list I like. But, to be honest I don't really play any of the big commercial games. Don't find there being a huge variation in genre or gameplay. Prefer my indie games

Is this another F2P FPS battle royale with micro transactions? If so they have already released about 6 this year already. Are companies not bothering to actually make real games anymore or just working on the same formula as mobile games. Give it to them for free and watch the flood of people purchasing skins.

@Dan1283 Holding it back from what? If games are running the same on Series X and PS5 then how is the S holding it back. Why is the PS5 not miles ahead as they only have one console. Hmmmmmm

Think people are missing the fundamentals. You don't have to buy it and the base console still plays the same games. It's like someone has a Vauxhall Corsa but wants a Ferrari. They both do the same thing and both can only go the same speed limit. So doesn't make any difference.

Hey guys/girls. It's going to be a massive game changer. There will be more games coming out. That's what it's all about! Wait no? They will still run fine on the base console? So why are we realising another console? Oh to make money for the lack of releases we have? Oh don't worry they will run slightly better when they do release! Look at the specs they will be amazingly different I mean there will be a massive improvement. It's pointless and the logically minded people know this. The others will get it for self gratification and bragging rights.

Personally I don't care if it comes out on PS5. Makes no difference to me playing it. I'm also not having to pay £70 for it. These console wars are just childish. We are gamers. Who cares what platform it is. We just want to play games.

One bit I will always remember is stealing the racing car mission. That thing handled terribly

@VisitingComet1 considering starfield is by Bethesda it won't be leaving game pass. If you were planning on continuing paying for gamepass. Buying starfield was pointless.

If they released the digital series X in black with 2TB I might have been interested. They removed the disc drive but couldn't even be bothered to make it smaller

I still think it's about Activision Blizzard. They won't make them exclusive because they will make more money if they are still multiplatform.

Easy way to look at it is Blu-ray. They do sell them but everything is slowly moving over to streaming. It is just a matter of time that they won't use physical media simply because "What's the point?" It's just another expenditure of production, supply etc. When all they have to do is put it on a server and ta da. Jobs done.

Was never a huge fan of multiplayer games but Titanfall was a fresh take on it. Titanfall I have to say is my favourite multiplayer to this day.

Probably a smart move there are lot of games out at the moment

Personally games that even now are being developed for last and current gen they should just stop last gen now. Focus on the current gen. Last gen is now 10 years old. It's had it's life. Some great games but they will just hold games back.

I found it unfortunate after years of waiting SE5 was pretty bad. It lost the charm of the 4th. Silent sniper bullets everywhere. One game I have preferred over SE is Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts. The first is a bit weird. Second nailed it
