007 First Light Comparison Shows Difference Between Xbox Series X And Series S

As you've probably seen, the embargo has officially lifted for 007 First Light content across the web today, which means we're getting loads of reviews along with some raw footage of both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S versions!

It'll come as no surprise that we're looking to Fuzion Xbox Testing on YouTube for this initial 007 First Light Xbox footage, as they've already posted videos for the Series X and S that you can watch down below.

On Xbox Series X, 007 First Light is shown to be running at 4K, 30FPS in Quality Mode and 4K, 60FPS in Performance Mode, although the actual native resolution is believed to be around 1440p-1662p and 864p-1080p respectively. The big thing here is that the frame rate seems very smooth in Quality Mode and mostly smooth in Performance Mode, with just occasional dips down into the mid-50s during particularly busy sequences.

On Xbox Series S, you're only getting the one mode at 1080p, 30FPS. The loss in visual quality compared to Series X is definitely noticeable but not game-breaking by any means, and the game seems to stick to its 30FPS target quite rigidly, with just occasional drops down to around 28FPS or 29FPS in this footage.

We'll leave you with both of the videos down below, and don't forget that if you've already pre-ordered 007 First Light on the Xbox Store prior to today, it's literally playable right now via a free Deluxe Edition upgrade! Otherwise, it'll be going live at 10am ET / 3pm BST tomorrow (May 27th) for everyone else.
