Talking Point: How Much Noise Do Your Xbox Consoles Make After All These Years?

Over the past decade-and-a-bit, it feels like Xbox has done a really good job at creating consoles that barely emit any noise whatsoever - the Xbox One, Series X, Series S and even the ROG Xbox Ally have all been commended for it.

The onset of time gets us all in the end though, and there's a good chance that at least some of your Xbox consoles are sounding a little bit more wheezy than they did when they were fresh out the box.

I've personally been noticing it when playing Halo: Campaign Evolved over the past few days, as my Xbox Series X is suddenly getting very warm and sounding like it wants to take off. Maybe I need to follow our own cleaning guide for it!

My Xbox One still sounds amazing even 13 years on, and I've said before how the ROG Xbox Ally X is basically silent unless I've got it on "Turbo" mode. However, both my Xbox 360 and particularly my original Xbox seem like they're struggling more these days, which is somewhat inevitable considering how old they both are.

But what about everyone else in the Pure Xbox community? I'm really intrigued to hear how your consoles are getting on in the noise (and dust!) department, and whether you've noticed a shift over the years since you bought them.
