It is beautiful, soundtrack is terrific as well. But damn is this game hard to play, aim's all over the place when you press L2 and the controls feel so rugged. Checkpoints aren't the best either and I'm not even gonna start on the last boss fight lol
It's good for what it is but I definitely would have liked to see some more QOL features.
Wouldn't recommend this to folks who want something more in the way of good production qualities.
Tons of indies out there that play way better, though I guess this game beats them in other aspects.

I feel like with development cycles being longer it's supposed to feel longer until this gen has well and truly started, and the expectation amongst gamers for it to have started by now (as it probably has been the generations prior) might be a bit unrealistic, especially regarding covid.
But on the other side totally fair for a consumer to want his box to be worth their money.

Scion messed me up real bad as well. Still haven't managed to beat any of from's tutorial bosses first time around 😂

@Cashews I want to say it'll go on to become easier after that but your comment actually has me confused because the first boss fight (Grafted Scion) you encounter will highly probably just beat you which will lead you to begin the actual game.
After which you can find another tutorial boss (Soldier of Godrick) who you can fight multiple times but I haven't seen anyone needing to, even if you're stuck you can just try and find a way out of the cave you're in, go into the open world and level before re-trying or doing other stuff and play with the homies.

@Kaloudz better route would actually be for both EA's and FIFA's game to fail.

@themightyant didn't they catch some flack around the release of re2 & 3 remake, for changes made, the very short length, wack multiplayer dlc etc

It's only my third nfs game so I can't compare it with the others. It's a solid arcade racer and it's visually very impressive, no shortcomings on the technical side either. Objectively it at least works how it should.
The police chases are way harder and more diverse than in Heat, where it was already pretty hard until you maxed out your car, at that point it became a breeze right. But in Unbound they have multiple types of cars that shake it up a bit.
Car customization seems to be about the same.
The (anime) effects were very divisive indeed, most of the negative shouts I heard came from the older generation of gamers. I think you should be safe, if you like it, it does open up a whole lot on the customization side. I personally dig it, thought it was sick and made it stand out.
I mean it's not like we want more copy and paste games right lol
Overall pretty decent, if you like the genre you'll like the soundtrack, if not connect your spotify/apple music.
