Activision Confirms Zombies Mode For Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Ahead of today's full Modern Warfare 3 reveal taking place within Call of Duty: Warzone, Activision has detailed some of the core features available in this year's CoD title - and there's a surprise inclusion. For the first time in Modern Warfare history, 2023's MW3 will contain a proper Zombies co-op mode.

Typically reserved for the Black Ops series — and Sledgehammer's historical CoD entries — Zombies is coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in a big way. Here's what the team has said about the mode so far:

"Did someone say Zombies? More information coming soon on the new Modern Warfare Zombies: The largest Zombies offering to date."

While they're clearly being sheepish on Zombies information right now, this isn't much of a surprise, given the mode's reveal is typically one of the last things shown off before a CoD release. We'd love to see and hear more on Zombies during the Warzone reveal this week, but we wouldn't be surprised if the mode is largely kept under wraps before launch.

Still, it's great to get confirmation that the mode exists this year, and it'll certainly bring something unique to the table for yet another Modern Warfare title. We don't have long to wait to try it out either - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 lands on November 10th for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Are you happy to learn that Zombies is back this year? Let us know in the comments!
