@JoyfulFire Things only get changed through consistent feedback and the threat of lost revenue. Making a one-and-done comment is unlikely to be seen or to resonate with anyone. People should continue to point out and discuss predatory practices - whether it's loot boxes, AAA greed, lazy Ubisoft map filler design, or whatever.

If you're happy with the industry model, then fine. You could have written a comment about why this game is going to be great.

Xbox already has a better version of PS1, PS2 and PSP games than what they receive on PS Plus. Installing Xbox Dev Mode with Duckstation, XBSX2, and PPSSPP are giving us all these games in 4K with better textures and frame rates.

The FTC is clearly correct, but this just shows how incompetent they were at their job. They failed.

Let’s bring Call Of Duty back down to a reasonable 200GB.

They would need to change all the car models too. If they just changed the names, then the car companies would see it as circumventing the licencing.

Biggest disappointment, along with Fable. At least the showcase had plenty of other games that looked great.

I’m done with GamePass. Any Microsoft games that I like I will buy on Steam sales.

The Steam Deck in its stock configuration is not a walled garden though. It can run anything that is compatible with Linux. If Square-Enix, EA, Ubisoft or Microsoft wanted to release a launcher for it, they can. It sounds like you’re talking about compatibility - which is what they’re working on. The launcher on SteamOS makes sense for a handheld and gives it a good experience to use. Windows 11 ad spyware is not optimised for handhelds which is why the battery life sucks.

Removing the Xbox name from PC Game Pass was an early indication. Microsoft are killing the Xbox brand and console.

Nintendo and Valve are the best stewards of gaming right now. Hopefully Valve will pull more people away from Windows and onto SteamOS/Linux.

I’m guessing Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will be delisted from the store soon..

They should have honoured it for those that purchased. Big corporations are going to have a problem with resurgent piracy soon anyway.

Not mentioned is that it only targets 60, and that you need a VRR display to use it or you will get heavy screen tearing. It even warns you in the menu.

Xbox is now echoing the last days of Windows Phone. The rebrand on PC to “PC Game Pass” makes more sense.

Xbox 360 used to be really great for social features, voice chat and parties. I would never use them now because you can lose your whole account, purchases and progress just for cursing. It’s lame.

I can’t help but compare it to Stellar Blade. Another sci-fi release but with attractive characters and an interesting world. Outlaws will be typical Ubislop.

Xbox developers just aren’t listening to the gamers/customers. Fair enough, but don’t complain when sales and subscriptions are down, and you lose your jobs.

Are they building these games in new bloated engines that struggle on Xbox? They should roll it back so we get 4K60. Xbox One games boosted to 4K60 still look really good.

Phil Spencer is a very safe and boring person which now reflects the Xbox brand. Boring and inoffensive.

A huge contraction of AAA devs, publishers and budgets would be good for gaming right now. I would like to see smaller studios and indies dominate the market. People that actually have a passion for videogames.

Xbox is now a weak and lame brand thanks to Phil Spencer. In-game chat ruined. Achievements ruined. Game hubs pointless. They only care about virtue signaling now, instead of creating good exclusive experiences.

Honestly they should just cancel the show. Phil Spencer and modern Microsoft have destroyed the Halo franchise.

The Original Xbox is the easiest Xbox to repair. Usually it just needs a modern HDD installed, a DVD drive clean with laser tweak, and capacitor removal/repair. Most special editions are super rare with the Mountain Dew green being sought after.

So it’s an inferior version of the current Series X.

What about the upcoming adorably all-digital console? Hopefully they think about releasing an external disc drive for that and the Series S.

Most of these will be restored on PC versions where you have file access. Hopefully a version of Insignia is made for Xbox 360.
