I'm not sticking around for the first cloud-only Xbox games.

I guess another remake.

Microsoft have told lots of people, lots of things. Only they know if it's profitable and they would never reveal it publicly, but they would regularly increase the price and reduce the output to save money if it wasn't.

If it was sustainable, they wouldn't need to keep increasing the price.

I'm starting to think it was probably a good decision from Microsoft.

The gameplay looked good like Deus Ex, Prey or Dishonored. Shame about the design of Joanna Dark, which suggests other issues.

This practice should be illegal. They should have made it playable offline.

It looks like a great game, but I never spend more than $20 on digital games.

I have around 500 games and only 10 are Play Anywhere. Not sure it will ever be good because of licensing.

I loved Quake 3 Arena most, but can't see it being as good on console without custom maps and with a controller.

Quake 4 had a disappointing Xbox 360 port that ran terribly, so that might be better.

Just make this available in all regions. It doesn't matter if the QR code is US specific.

I wish they would let us disable achievements also. I want my profile to only show recent games played, and maybe stats like total time played.

Microsoft should make sure that Nvidia and Intel can run these also.

I was planning on switching to PC, so this is the best possible news if true. I get to retain my large Xbox digital library.

That was Helldivers 2, and then they self-destructed for some reason..

People are turning away from this horrific art style, character designs and corporate slop shooters. Sony spent hundreds of millions on Concord and now they spent hundreds of millions on Concord 2. Disastrous!

I've lost a lot of confidence and interest in Xbox and their strategy for me to continue purchases, so this is great news that they will preserve my huge existing library and it will likely be playable on PC. I bought all 50-something OG Xbox titles, around 250 Xbox 360 titles and 80 Xbox One/Series games digitally which might turn out well.

I guess moving to PC and just signing into the app still makes me an Xbox user since I don't want to move to PlayStation or Nintendo. Good move, Microsoft.

I got rid of all my subscriptions except YouTube Premium and GamePass. I won't be renewing GamePass when it runs out next year.

Xbox-branded that can only play 10% of my Xbox library. I'm sure it's better for new games going into GamePass, but useless for the libraries we already paid for.

Looks so bad. The guy doesn't even look like a suave Bond. He has a huge scar on his face as though he's Blofeld. The supporting cast aren't interesting. Disappointing.

Microsoft have just been stringing everyone along with fake announcements and promises. They're taking huge GamePass losses now, but with the goal to getting everyone on a streaming cloud-only gaming app.

The "biggest generational leap ever" is their Azure cloud servers.

It may not kill us, but it will render 90% of us obsolete. The latest cope is that we will all learn to harness AI with prompts and that will make us all more productive. Companies are not going to hire many people to input prompts to do their job for them - and eventually AI will devise and input it's own prompts.

@Secryt The people that buy the $1000 phones are a more important consideration. They should be allowed to install what they want. Apple has been abusing their dominant market position for too long.

Ubisoft and others have destroyed the possibility and wonder of open world games - compared to Rockstar and Bethesda whose output is a lot less. That said, hub world games like Deus Ex, KOTOR, Mass Effect and classic platformers are superior because they give a good illusion of open world whilst keeping structure. Yakuza/Like A Dragon might be an exception because they kept the open world smaller, contained and fun.

Loved Mafia and Mafia 2. This sounds like a very good idea to set a prequel in Sicily.

A sequel to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Final Fantasy XVI and VII Remake/Rebirth. A third Riddick game.

I love my Series X as the best console for playing older retro games. Since Xbox is on its way out, I hope they move our entire libraries to PC so we can still play them alongside Steam. It sounds like they intend to do just that.

Probably not a good deal when Ubisoft’s future is uncertain.

Insignia is fantastic. Really enjoying the multiplayer experience on games like Splinter Cell, Halo 2, Forza and a bunch of classics like Area 51, Outrun 2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Jedi Academy. It feels more fun and competitive, you see the same familiar names, it’s more pick-up-and-play and not witnessed any hackers.

I’m blackpilled on Xbox’ future, but I already have a large digital library and a profile since 2010, so I guess I’m along for the ride.

All were very enjoyable games.

Blaming the "outdated" engine for Starfield being terrible is cope. No loading screens when flying from planet to space would not save it. They built a boring universe with boring characters and quests.

Xbox is not about catering to the customer/gamer anymore. We are a captive audience thanks to our longtime game libraries, achievements and profiles, and they will attempt to force us into their DRM cloud subscription future.

It’s a well-deserved downfall. No company deserves to live forever, especially if they switch focus from making games to breaking social boundaries.

Sony and Microsoft are starting to take their “customers” for granted. I would love to see a new company enter the market that will make a new console and AAA games. Valve are most likely. A Chinese brand could, but nobody would trust their censorship regime for approving games.

Just changed Pure Xbox to Comic Sans using inspect element. Put me on the Xbox team, Microsoft.

Sony have much better pedigree to build a gaming handheld, but Microsoft potentially have a much bigger library and more compatibility.

Jez Corden is not reliable or impartial. This game will fail just like SW Outlaws, Dustborn, Concord, Suicide Squad and Dragon Age Veilguard.

It’s a disaster. Veilguard should close BioWare for good.

Hopefully the reviewer is right about Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but he also loved Star Wars Outlaws, Suicide Squad and Skull & Bones - so that’s not a good sign. We all want the great BioWare of old.

I prefer this real talk over corporate language.

Their recent collapse is self inflicted. They chose to replace a Japanese samurai with Yasuke. They chose to make an unlikeable and unattractive character in SW Outlaws. Fire all the activists at Ubisoft and replace with nerds that just want to make games.
