Might be worth mentioning that the Critically Acclaimed sale seems to be for Gamepass members - I didn't get the price for Midnight Suns!

@AgentCooper I think it's a lot better than I expected it to be and it does nail the star wars vibe really well - if a vaguely stealth/shooty star wars game is what you're looking for and you don't mind the Ubisoft open world stuff (it's not too bad, but it is very much there) then I think it's a steal at that price.

To be fair, I've only recently upgraded to the Series myself, so I can appreciate when devs do give the XOne some love! That said, it should really depend on the game - a lot of devs will still be targeting the Switch for at least a few years to come... and if you've got it on the Switch, there's no reason you can't put it on the XOne/PS4. But if it's going to be a struggle for the hardware, then just keep it to the next gen models?

While I'm genuinely stoked we're actually getting these now, seriously what sort of work do they need to do that it's going to take until next year for them to release? Surely that's going to kill the majority of sales potential, and then capcom might use the lack of sales to justify not porting other titles in a vicious cycle!

Who on earth is still buying GTA at this point? It baffles me no end!

@Nintendo4Sonic it's only on sale via the 360 marketplace or 360 console - I picked it up earlier when the sale started.

Does the use of any mod disable achievements, or is it just some of the wackier ones? I'd like to try out some of the skins and stuff... but I don't want to start a completely separate playthrough just so I can be Batman for half an hour!

The IGN presenters and the massive advert in the middle really detracted from the experience, but otherwise the games looked really good!

The System Shock Remake being free to play doesn't sound right?

I only played the prologue recently and I was quietly hopeful this was going to turn out a bit better - so I'm a bit disappointed, but I'm sure it'll hit a sale eventually when I've got time for it!

@shoeses did they? I must have missed that... with the amount of complaining online I assumed they'd just been silent on it! Oh well, glad nobody is losing out at least.

Will everyone that purchased extras on the first version get that stuff back? I think they should have communicated better that they were likely to shut it down after feedback instead of taking peoples money and then effectively ghosting them...

I definitely enjoyed the format, and it makes a nice change of pace to the developer direct videos (which are also good, but more suited to first party deep-dives). This was good, but like @abe_hikura said, it would have been nice to have a final special highlight to finish on!

Speaking of Helldivers, can anybody recommend anything close in terms of gameplay that is on Xbox?

I like the format and the stuff shown, was a teeny-bit disappointed there was nothing to play 'now'. I know we can't have an awesome shadow drop every time, but it would have been nice to finish on something being released 'after the show' just so it doesn't feel like such a wait to play something new! But otherwise it was all good stuff!

There did appear to be a nice gap in the original developer direct picture which could accommodate a fifth title (like they did last time) so it's not unfeasible that there would be a surprise as well...

Now that... is what I've wanted to see for a looong time!

Does this mean if I want the original KI 1 & 2 games on Xbox, I need to buy the definitive version before it's retired?

I've got about £30 worth of rewards - but I'm about to cash them all in for black friday sales, so I'll be back to almost zero in no time! I tend to keep them for xbox credit (I've apparently redeemed 747,100 points so far!). But Since my backlog is getting out of hand, I think I might use them to auto-redeem gamepass

The fact that the Series S doesn't have a disk drive is currently the main barrier for me to joining the 'current' generation - I can't really afford a Series X, and I'm not too bothered about the performance aspects, but I have many disk games, and the kids love second hand games - so a drive is essential for me. For now I'll just stick to my One X I guess!

Did anyone else think that the TGS show got 'cut-off' somewhat? There didn't seem to be any wrap-up or final message... it just seemed to stop suddenly!

Octopath 2 was very welcome - although the wait for it seems a little dodgy since it's already out everywhere else, but I would have liked to see a bit more from Square Enix. The rest was ok (Palworld was good to see again, but we were already aware it was coming) I did think the Fallout 76 announcement was a bit out of place though?

I will sing the praises of Inertial Drift whenever I get the chance, but other than that this was not the last hurrah I was expecting!

Inertial Drift is a fab game - and well worth owning, but I really did think they would do out with a bang... so much for that!

Just finished the campaign mode of Severed Steel - which was awesome 😎 So currently deciding what to play next: I'm either going to go for Scarlet Nexus or ReCore, grab Dragon's Dogma from the sale or possibly start one of the 360 games I've been hoarding 😁

You know what, I'd probably grab Anthem at that price if I didn't need Gold just to play it!

Space Marine, Lollipop Chainsaw, JSR Future, Outrun 2, Ninety-Nine Nights and the Riddick games would be my choices!

I'd been waiting for Ravenlok to drop, but I wasn't expecting it to be quite so easy... I've already finished it after 2 sittings! I have to say though, it was still a great game to play through!

Has anyone played Leap yet? I'd seen it in the store but I couldn't really find anything else on it!

Funnily enough, about 2 months before Christmas my Xbox one s looked like it was giving up so had to weigh up the pros and cons of upgrading - in the end I went with a second hand One X.
Simply put, cost rolled out the Series X - but the Series S comes with so many concessions... most important of which (to me) was the lack of a disk drive! The kids and I have disk games, and the Xbox is the default DVD player as well, so with that the Series S was out as well.
As for gaming on the One X, I couldn't be happier - I've got a backlog that stretches back to the 360 and plenty of newer stuff besides! And while I can see many companies moving away from the previous gen, I don't think it'll happen until we have a updated Switch - while Devs are still targeting the Switch, there's absolutely no reason not to release games on the Xbox one & PS4 as well!
The one thing I'm conscious of after reading the other comments is what a difference the SSD makes - everyone else seems to have serious issues with load times, but they don't seem bad at all (to me at least!). If it really comes too it, I can always swap out the HDD for an SSD and see what difference it makes!

Have they confirmed if it's still coming to Xbox One?

I've not claimed any GwG games for the last few months now... and I won't be claiming these either. I'd rather they shelved the program entirely since their attention is naturally all on gamepass, so just ditch gold and let us play online for free - win win!

@themightyant that's possibly a little harsh - and by that logic you could already prune a few titles off (like State of Decay for starters), I just think it deserves a mention - especially since the definitive edition fixed several of the complaints from the launch version.

@themightyant For the most part that's all true - I still need to go back and finish it myself! But with it being one of the few Xbox one exclusives, I thought it deserved a mention at least!
