It's time to play some more XDefiant! The "Open Session" for Ubisoft's extremely popular new shooter arrives on Xbox later today, allowing you to go hands-on with the game ahead of its free-to-play release later in the summer.

The XDefiant Open Beta on Xbox will begin at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST, at which time you'll be able to download it via the dedicated Xbox Store link - which we'll throw down below. It lasts until June 23rd.

Some of the upgrades compared to the XDefiant Closed Beta, which already proved a massive hit with players, include controller latency and aim assist improvements on console, a brand-new netcode, improved server stability and more.

You can check out some additional details below, and we'll see you in the game later this afternoon!

"XDefiant is a free-to-play, first-person online arena shooter where you compete in fast-paced clashes. With cross-play available at launch, you will be able to play with friends on a variety of platforms."
