Killer Instinct

Update: Killer Instinct: Anniversary Edition is now officially available on Xbox, and it's also included with Xbox Game Pass as we'd hoped! That means that if you're a subscriber, you can now access it at no extra charge whatsoever.

Original story: Following the announcement of the Killer Instinct: Anniversary Edition during the game's livestream celebrations last week, Iron Galaxy has now confirmed this update, including a massive patch, will launch on 28th November.

The latest post on social media narrows it down to a 12pm Pacific release time for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, so that's either later today or tomorrow depending on your location.

As detailed on the official website, upon the release of the 10th Anniversary Update, there will be two versions of KI. This includes the Killer Instinct Base Game (free-to-play) and the Anniversary Edition. As further explained by the team, "in short, we're upgrading all versions of Killer Instinct to the Anniversary Edition".

And don't worry, existing premium content (fighters, skins, accessories, etc) will still be unlocked in Killer Instinct Anniversary Edition. The Killer Instinct Definitive Edition will also be retired from the store, with all existing purchases of this version to be upgraded to the Anniversary Edition for free. Keep in mind, some content has been cut:
