Also worth noting that eurogamer gave it ‘essential,’ which is essentially their 10/10. I was hoping this was going to be good, looking forward to playing this as soon as I can peel myself away from Elden Ring 👀
Every time I see any Battlefield article, it just reminds me of how disappointed I was when I fired up my £89 Battlefield 2042 copy. The worst money I have spent on a video game ever.
I use https://xbdeals.net/gb-store/discounts You can also set it up to notify you when a game you are watching goes on sale and also tracks the price over time so I know I am always getting it at the lowest historical price.
I played this on Switch. It's actually good fun and definitely worth a punt as its on Game Pass, feels like a good fit for the service. Quite a funny / self deprecating script, easy pick up and play combat. It's no Hades, but still a good laugh while it lasts.
@Dezzy70 have you seen the reflections / lighting effects in Hitman 3 though? They are pretty much as good as I have seen in any game with or without RT. I would definitely be interested in seeing how different it looks once implemented though. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if the difference is massive.
@Kefka2589 @Bmartin001 neither had I until early December when I bought Hitman 2 Gold edition in a sale... now I don’t know how this series has eluded me for so long.
It’s really pointless on Dark Souls. It ‘quick resumes’ you into the game > proceeds to tell you that you have been logged out of the server > performs a hard restart of the game.
@Nexozi EA Access 12 month passes convert to 4 months of GPUltimate when you redeem them. ShopTo are selling them for £16.85 at the moment (still available).
ShopTo are selling 12 month EA play passes for 16.95 which translates to 4 months of Game Pass Ultimate when redeemed, I loaded up on them this morning.
And yet, no one has yet seen a PS5 running anything. Unless Sony have a card up their sleeve, they could be in trouble with such a consensus of positivity surrounding the X.
I think it’s an OK launch lineup. I’m very, very happy with the BC approach though. There is still so much life left in the current gen games and even without the specific S/X optimisations it looks like they are going to play infinitely better.

Re: Pick One: Which Of These EA Games From 2021 Has Been Your Favourite?
F1 2021 for me, although I think ME will trump it (waiting for game pass).
If this was the other way around though, BF 2042 was without a doubt the worst £79.99 I spent this year
