The main thing is that the Xbox still detected Indiana jones needed an update (also managed to get Silksong through the app).

I was on the lowest tier of the insider program (by choice) so I’m a little surprised this happened to be honest… anyway I’ve come off it now.

It is fixed, but it still forced a reset of the console for me. No biggie. All the games are still downloaded. Just needed to re log in and check some settings.

I tried it on that other system, and just didn’t enjoy it as much as Mario Kart.

The company doing age verification for Xbox appear to be London based.

@dskatter I literally wrote in my comment how low the stakes are if they lied. If they needed to see my drivers license I’d probably be more reticent.

IGN 4/10. I’m sort of surprised the reviews were at all mixed. Seems generally poor.

I don’t want to give identifying information for logging into Reddit, but I can’t really see any issue here. The Xbox account is linked to my debit card. They know exactly who I am already.

I did an age check of my face through a third party.

They assure me the data has been deleted now. I don’t have a lot to lose if it hasn’t been.

Clearly the system is not that rigorous, but no system is.

@Elbow dskatter above says Sony did this some time ago. Are they winding down? I’m shocked anyone was buying movies from Xbox store. It is a a very low value proposition when physical media is so cheap

There was a point to easy achievements when they were tied to the Xbox rewards program. I don’t really see the point now.

I didn't see Fortnite update on my XSX, but it must have been quite fast.

I paid for the full game (years ago) after I bought the dlc expansion as I was worried what would happen if it dropped off gamepass. Slightly sad I could have got it for free, it on the other hand I would have spent that money by now…

I mean Nintendo sell Mario Golf themed luggage tags. In fact they are a platinum points perk so they don’t even make money off them. I’ve also seen PlayStation themed crockery on sale.

I sort of wondered if it coming back to game pass when ‘crime boss’ launched was a coincidence.

Is this game the reason GTAV returned to gamepass?

Seems like if you have a series X you should download online and play story mode through that. I had downloaded both versions but have just saved 80gb. Before I deleted the vanilla gtav though I uploaded my save to club rockstar (or whatever it’s called) and then downloaded it into story mode.

Hoa is a sweet studio Gibli looking puzzle game. Got it on Switch.

At my old place, the best ADSL I could get was 14Mbps, until I switched to Virgin, and got 200!. New place doesn't have Virgin, and max ADSL is still only 40, but that's not that bad...

@cragis0001 It's not a monopoly like the wired phone network though is it? They've just invested more in their mobile network, they're not stopping people from making their own. Not sure I get the issue. No matter where you live in (98% of) the UK there's dozens of providers for landline, broadband, and mobile you can choose. I'm not mad about EE being bought by BT, but they were always a huge company.

@cragis0001 what's your source for EE owning most of the UK mobile network infrastructure?

I got my XSX through EE. A great deal that I think is practically the same price as microsoft's subscription plan plus I didn't need a fun credit check! And it includes some streaming data plans which is always nice when you want to youtube on the go.

Would love some more perks.

And possibly not X360 GP games either.

Recore looks like it might have three easy achievements if you’ve never played it before.

Well the log into Rewards app one has counted now. There are A LOT of easy achievements in Age of Empires II.

Strangely, today didn't seem to count as a 'launch the reward app' day.

@clvr Exactly. I've never seen Rick and Morty and got no problem reading a review by someone who doesn't like it. What would be the point if all the reviews were written by people with the same tastes?
