Link seems to be broken now. Still not got my Fanta skin.

Still no Fanta code...

@shoeses highly likely!

I’m sure I got a Fanta code for waypoint. But it’s not appeared in game yet.

Would love to know how to actually activate this!

@oopsiezz it was nothing to do with halo studios. It was general Microsoft problems which are going to happen sometimes. Just an annoying coincidence.

It does work on xcloud, but I don’t want to play on xcloud…

Only £9 with about a month's worth of xbox rewards points.

People on Reddit were saying previously that Microsoft was restoring credits and cars but not game progress which just sounded bonkers to me. How were they not saving the last few good cloud saves and making them able to restore? Even if it had to be by some Microsoft admin?

Using auto drive on a challenge is no different that asking your older sibling to get past a hard level for you. My experience on hard challenges has been that auto drive has been no faster than my terrible racing skills.

I only use it to get achievements that unlock cars (etc.) where I’ve tried a challenge half a dozen times and I’m never going to improve.

But if that’s what people want any to do when playing single player who really cares?

I’ve not got the update, but I did get one last night giving the new flash screen!

Who are the poor people who don’t get early access? Physical game purchasers?

@TrollOfWar yep, fair enough, I thought there was more to it than that. But presumably call of duty exclusivity would be a pretty big deal, and not really something they could go back on (or especially with the Ubisoft streaming commitments).

@TrollOfWar they’re not going to be able to walk back on those multi platform commitments as that’s what got their mergers approved legally.

If the next XBox plays Steam games, though…

It’s working in the uk now and nope you can’t pass it on.

Per Bethesda, it’s available tomorrow.

The main thing is that the Xbox still detected Indiana jones needed an update (also managed to get Silksong through the app).

I was on the lowest tier of the insider program (by choice) so I’m a little surprised this happened to be honest… anyway I’ve come off it now.

It is fixed, but it still forced a reset of the console for me. No biggie. All the games are still downloaded. Just needed to re log in and check some settings.

I tried it on that other system, and just didn’t enjoy it as much as Mario Kart.

The company doing age verification for Xbox appear to be London based.

@dskatter I literally wrote in my comment how low the stakes are if they lied. If they needed to see my drivers license I’d probably be more reticent.

IGN 4/10. I’m sort of surprised the reviews were at all mixed. Seems generally poor.

@RetroMan71 ever been id’d for buying alcohol…? It’s been happening for a while, and it’s not really a big deal.

I don’t want to give identifying information for logging into Reddit, but I can’t really see any issue here. The Xbox account is linked to my debit card. They know exactly who I am already.

I did an age check of my face through a third party.

They assure me the data has been deleted now. I don’t have a lot to lose if it hasn’t been.

Clearly the system is not that rigorous, but no system is.

@FraserG sorry, not trying to be rude, but it feels pretty low impact.

@Elbow dskatter above says Sony did this some time ago. Are they winding down? I’m shocked anyone was buying movies from Xbox store. It is a a very low value proposition when physical media is so cheap

What is the “big impact”?

There was a point to easy achievements when they were tied to the Xbox rewards program. I don’t really see the point now.

Never mind, just realised ‘Resistance’ is the current one and still up.

Wasn’t Sniper Elite 4 on gamepass for approximately ever?

I didn't see Fortnite update on my XSX, but it must have been quite fast.

I'm wondering whether the bug is fixed on the beta OSs?

I paid for the full game (years ago) after I bought the dlc expansion as I was worried what would happen if it dropped off gamepass. Slightly sad I could have got it for free, it on the other hand I would have spent that money by now…

I’m now using it to practice manual driving in the uk!

I mean Nintendo sell Mario Golf themed luggage tags. In fact they are a platinum points perk so they don’t even make money off them. I’ve also seen PlayStation themed crockery on sale.

I sort of wondered if it coming back to game pass when ‘crime boss’ launched was a coincidence.

Is this game the reason GTAV returned to gamepass?

Seems like if you have a series X you should download online and play story mode through that. I had downloaded both versions but have just saved 80gb. Before I deleted the vanilla gtav though I uploaded my save to club rockstar (or whatever it’s called) and then downloaded it into story mode.

Hoa is a sweet studio Gibli looking puzzle game. Got it on Switch.

@Fenbops presumably it will come to EA Play / gamepass eventually...

At my old place, the best ADSL I could get was 14Mbps, until I switched to Virgin, and got 200!. New place doesn't have Virgin, and max ADSL is still only 40, but that's not that bad...

@FraserG News Editor needs more than 14 Mbps!

That'll only take 7 hours and 47 minutes for me... (only got 40 Mbps, but there was a time I was getting 14 Mbps...)

Honestly though... that's... a lot.

Probably won't get Tetris as I've got it on Switch, but it's a great game!

(just got the code!)

There are people playing Legacy who don't have all the movies!?

@cragis0001 It's not a monopoly like the wired phone network though is it? They've just invested more in their mobile network, they're not stopping people from making their own. Not sure I get the issue. No matter where you live in (98% of) the UK there's dozens of providers for landline, broadband, and mobile you can choose. I'm not mad about EE being bought by BT, but they were always a huge company.

@cragis0001 what's your source for EE owning most of the UK mobile network infrastructure?

I got my XSX through EE. A great deal that I think is practically the same price as microsoft's subscription plan plus I didn't need a fun credit check! And it includes some streaming data plans which is always nice when you want to youtube on the go.

Would love some more perks.

And possibly not X360 GP games either.
