Personally, Starfield is my GOTY, since I enjoy not-too-violent Sci-Fi FPSs.

Then Terminator: Resistance the Annihilation Line DLC.

RoboCop: Rogue City was too violent/criminals for me, like Cyberpunk 2077 was the same.

I also wish there was a really good Kart Racer in 2023, but Disney Speedstorm turned into F2P mobile gambling trash, sadly.

Still on Starfield

I paid AUD$160 all up, and at 50 hours in and less than half-way through, that will be ~100h total @ $1.6/h, which is bargain pricing for HQ entertainment. Initially I thought there was too much talking, but moved the game into a less exciting timeslot in my day, and it's become golden time now. God bless you all. Don't forget about Jesus.

Too gory for a teenage audience sadly. Teyon (from Poland) never put on GamePass anything before I think. Also very rare sales for Xbox Term Resis, so sale on this probably a year out min. Guesses.

Yep, has lots of problems but the world is so fun, quirky and interesting that you want to spend time in it doing 'stuff', regardless of the minor frustrations. Jesus bless you!

Same here, did it also, but didn't even go into The Lodge first, which was a mistake, because you have to get the restriction on the Frontier unlocked before you can fast travel for the first UC Vanguard mission

The Museum info should have been as a high budget starting video to the Entire Game!

Only put in 2h, but WOW was that starting BAD! Shockingly poor intro explanations of the game mechanics/menus. Trying to figure out how to change weapon via D-pad and fly to the first planet was an awful experience. Where were my grenades from the pirates? There's no mini-map showing where loot is!? Maybe it will get better....?

I just played about 20 hours of Destiny 1 (Xbox at 30fps), and that's a heavy shooter, but it's fine, you just get used to it within about 3 mins. I wouldn't worry about it too much for Starfield.

I just tried the background, it's poor imo, as it's the same image as the store art, and also most of the visible content is at the bottom, covered by the home screens app and ad buttons. I can't believe they couldn't make a new top-heavy much better and more dynamic background for such a big game release. The dynamic background art team at Xbox HQ must be really really small or something. I'm switching back to the green glowing orbs dynamic background, it's quite good imo.

I only play Kart Racers and Sci-Fi Not-too-scary Single-player Campaign FPS (my fav genres), so this is like one of the only games I'll buy this year. I have the Premium Upgrade Pre-ordered to play real Day 1. And don't mind paying for that, only because there is the first DLC included.

I'm waiting for Starfield (got the premium upgrade to play early), and in the meantime slowly finishing the Homefront: The Revolution DLCs.

Oh, realized just now that you were probably talking about the TV Show, so still cool! If you liked episode 1, then is only stays the same quality (maybe even gets better!) as it goes along, and the end of the short season 1 is really epic!

I got stuck on this also - You have to restore 'default background' setting to get the background be the same as the hovered homescreen icon.

Also, they only have a few high quality dynamic backgrounds, not one for every major game, which is lame.

Cool!, and like others said starts slow as a 'scavenging resistance rat' but becomes really epic in the last half.

Yeah, you're all good, Season 2 ends well/softly I think. In fact, it ends in such a state that they couldn't probably afford a Season 3 (too much expensive CGI needed/hard for 2009)

It's good, good diverse plot and enemies, including flying skynet drones, and has original-ish soundtrack. The Polish devs (Teyon) did a good job! I'm looking forward to RoboCop: Rogue City.

The TV show cliffhanger is a 'soft cliffhanger', so go for it, I actually like the hopeful ending of Season 2.

I own all Movies, the TV Show and Terminator: Resistance on Xbox. They all go well together, I recommend the whole lot, it's my favorite Franchise of all time.

Haha, yeah but in Australia they have to give you a Full Refund if you unsubscribe from Game Pass, so I use Game Pass all the time FOR FREE LOL to try games I might like to buy, e.g. Atomic Heart, which I disliked and so didn't buy.

Yeah, I can see why you like Sonic kart racing series, and although I also own all 3 (All-Star, Transformed, and Team) they aren't my favourite, just because I never got into the SEGA games where the characters came from, and the rock-ish in-game music isn't my favourite. Each to their own! I bet I'm only one of a few that really like Garfield Kart.

Microids is doing Smurfs Kart on Xbox soon too. I agree with you all, there's lots of Kart Racers, like 10-20 on Xbox now. Nothing beats Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled. Disney SpeedStorm is LSG gatcha gambling nonsense. I also like the silly one, Garfield Kart, just because I really like the music and cat characters from the comic.

Only just got it now by signing up for Xbox Insider Delta (free) ring/tier. Bewarned though, the new home UI doesn't allow editing home screen rows, and so below the main bit, there's lot and lots and lots of endless ads!

In your case, waiting for F2P is good, but I really don't recommend paying anything for a few silly skin files etc. Just play for free until you get sick of the tracks and characters, which for me is like 10-20 races on each track, of which there are only 8! (https://speedstorm.fandom.com/wiki/Maps, but with different paths).

No problem, those other games are good. Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2/3 and Crash Team Racing are also good too I think, if you want something new. I don't have a game-addictive personality, but the UI in Speedstorm still really frustrates me, so similar to a Gambling Machine at a Hotel in Vegas!

The goal in a Kart Racer shouldn't be to unlock endless skin files, it should be to Win Races and Grand Prixs with a fun Storyline attached. You are correct though, if you wait for the F2P release (they are saying 6-mths to 1-year), then you could 'unlock' everything for free, but that would probably take a player like 200 hours, based on my 3 hours of gameplay so far.

Yeah, a type of madness, and I'm glad I got Disney Speedstorm for free via free gift vouchers. I'd be so annoyed if I paid for it fully. It's not even a proper Kart Racer with a Grand Prix or Storyline or anything.
