Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 21-22)

I’m giving Forge a go in Halo Infinite. Took me a couple of hours to block out something which resembles what you could say is a map.

I’m already lvl30 I’m the season 5 pass. I don’t mind though. There’s more to the game now than a battle pass.

Also hoping to buy Super Mario Wonder this weekend and have a go at that too.

Honestly the thing I’m looking forward to the most now I’m COVID free is going outside and having a walk. Autumn is my favourite time of the year and it is just out there looking amazing.

I'm going through a heartbreaking breakup right now, so I doubt I will have any strength left to play games. That's what happens after ending a two-year relationship lol. Anyway, maybe I'll jump into The Last Oricru: Final Cut to try and get some kills.

I'm hoping to finish my first run in Baldur's Gate 3 on my PC. Been going for over 270 hours now, and loved every minute of it. Definitely going to win every single Game of the Year Award.

I'm also going to be undertaking a couple of runs of Gears 5 Horde with my mate as a duo on Insane, which is always very challenging...!

Of course its spiderman 2 ,obviously 😁

Starfield - have decided to forego base building and system exploration and surveying and instead concentrate on main and faction quests. I don't think I want to play this for 100 hours so will concentrate on the missions.

Still mostly Forza Motorsport multiplayer and still having a great time. My driver rating dipped a couple hundred points to around 3100 ish after a few bad races I did while tired. Still kept my S safety rating though so not all bad.

I have also been casually poking at Remnant II solo for a change of pace. Not sure what to think as I seem to be just aimlessly wondering around. My character is progressing but it just feels a bit hit & miss in terms of fun.

Did briefly try WH40K: Darktide and it looked promising till I found out there is no single player mode. Instant deleted.

I’m having a much deserved weekend getaway with my wife so I won’t be playing much until late Sunday evening. However, I do have Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 waiting for me - preordered, downloaded, and ready to go - when I get back.

Throughout the week, I managed to beat and get the platinum trophy for Cyberpunk 2077 (the base game). It was a phenomenal experience, even after 100+hours. I’ve yet to touch Phantom Liberty, but I plan on setting that expansion to the side until I beat Spider Man 2 and Alan Wake 2.

I don’t want to risk burnout on what’s critically considered an incredible addition to what is now one of my all time favorite games. Near the end of base 2077, I felt myself not reading archived conversations, looking at my phone while some dialogue conversations played out, and simply running and gunning throughout some gigs. Clearly, I need(ed) a break, and I don’t want to do Phantom Liberty a disservice.

I'm still playing Starfield (will be for a long time) but i've also been playing Super Mario Wonder. Still got to start RE4 Separate ways yet. What a great year for games.

On my one x gears of War 2

I've been hooked with 80's Overdrive. If you're an OutRun fan, it's pretty good.

Im struggling hard to finish motorsport. Im only just finishing the third series of races, but its beggining to feel a grind and utterley soulless. A freind came over last night and wanted to try the crew motorfest. We had such a great time, it really put into perspective just how little fun Im having with motorsport. Im only driver level 60, but I think I might be done.
I still have an urge to play a bit more starfield though, after 90 + hours. The urge is fading, but even had I paid for the title, 100 hours is enough to conclude its been good value. It will however be the least Ive ever played a bethusda title, excluding fallout 76.

Im not paid till next week, so Mario or Spidey can wait for a while, I dont need to rush and want to make sure Im properly finished with Starfield before I move on.

Finishing up Ghostwire: Tokyo then continue my October tradition by playing horror themed games. Ive also been playing a little Minecraft for kicks with a few friends.

@UndyingInsurgent95 You'll make it, though I know the feeling all to well. Food, a good drink and a solid Kaiju movie always helped me. Nothing makes my problems seem smaller than watching Godzilla fighting another Titan of a monster. (Well not really but it's fun)

@CHAOSbutler117 Appreciate the support friend! I know it's all chemicals and hormones but damn it, it hurts so much lol. I have a friend coming over later to watch Blue Beetle and I'll take your advice on Godzilla (Love Kaiju monsters!).

Probably not much on Xbox this weekend as I’ll mainly be hopping between Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Wonder. If I can pull myself away from these 2 excellent games, then maybe some Forza Motorsport and Cyberpunk on XSX. Happy weekend chooms! 🙂

Mostly mario and sonic this week. That's on switch though, not sure if I want to start something on xbox with Alan wake 2 on the horizon and dead space coming to gamepass soon..

Primarily Halo Infinite and occasionally Forza Motorsport, which is still full of bugs 🙄

I unlocked all achievements and 10ng+ runs in Starfield so now I'm taking a break from gaming before I either jump back to wrap up TotK or do another run in Cyberpunk. Have a good weekend everybody!

Nothing really..i uninstalled starfield cause i got burned out.
Gotham kinghts i tried twice doing a main mission and my kid interrupted lol. There's so much repetition I can take..so I'll give that a break.
I'm highly anticipating alan wake 2 so I think not having anything to play now it's a good thing

Plants vs. Zombies (Windows Phone) - This game is a guilty pleasure of mine. I'll probably pick this on my wife's Android phone at some point so I can play it down the road. Time to beat it again and clear it off of this dying phone for now though!

This weekend I'm continuing my playthrough of Yakuza: Like a Dragon and probably gonna play some Call of Juarez: Gunslinger.

Playing the original Borderlands and really enjoying… I do like my looter shooters!

Playing "Lies of P" non-stop...

I'm currently playing the great ace attorney chronicles. And then by the time I'm done with that, like a dragon gaiden should be out. Tho I'm not playing anything on xbox.

Yesterday was too busy with IRL activities, but planning on playing Immortals of Aveum today - missed it when initially released but bought on sale a few days ago and it’s proving to be really quite fun!

Since Saturday Spiderman 2, it’s fantastic. MK1, Forza M and Starfield before that.

AC Mirage tonight, too busy with drone yesterday for gaming. Trying to pick up courage for 2nd level of Aliens dark descent (pc)

NS: Super Mario Bros Wonder = euhm wonderful

XSX: Forza Motorsports 8 on Xbox acts weird concerning saving, it seems. I get the idea for levelling your car but for + 500 cars? + with the update, a level 50 car went to 29. It takes a long time to get to that level, at least have a proper save system. Also, going through the menus has so many issues (freezing, hiccups, etc). Starting to think this game needed a 6 month more dev time.

Good luck finishing Starfield in less than 100 hours! I didn't survey a single planet, build a single base or ship and I finished my first game at 96 hours. I finished every faction and main mission though.

I've been playing the Diablo 4 trial this weekend, simply because it's the only time I can play it for free lol.

Castlevania Bloodlines (CAC), Ghost Song and gonna give Pheonix Wright a try.

Oh boi what a absolutely amazing down right WOWIE ZOWIE weekend it’s been and I’m just so happy. Saw the new Scorsese movie Killers Of The Flower Moon and honestly it was just excellent. Little slow to start but Martin really is a visionary. Of course like everyone else I’ve been playing loads of Super Mario Bros Wonder. I love it so much it’s utterly excellent and honestly might be my GOTY. I’m blown away each new level I do. Of course that’s not the only new game that came out that I’m checking out. I also dabbled in some Spider-Man 2 and honestly there are moments in it so far that if you ask me make Final Fantasy XVI blush. I think I’ll also take a break off of Mario Wonder today to do some Sonic Superstars I’m very excited for that one. Also I’ll probably wrap up the RE7 DLC later tonight too so I can move onto the Seperate Ways DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake this week. Finally playing some new RE content for Halloween feels good. Of course I’ll be doing the usual rotation of games this week of Rain Code and FFXVI and TOTK and Fire Emblem and Sea Of Stars and stuff but of course throwing in some of our new additions there too. And of course that’s not even counting the fact that yeah I still have a new game this week in the absolutely legendary Alan Wake II. Granted I’ll probably delve into that next week as my yearly special Halloween game I start on Halloween but to say I am excited is a understatement. Extremely good time for gaming hahaha. As for the Fall Anime I’ve shook out some clear winners. Spy X Family, Shangri-La Frontier, 100 Girlfriends who really love you, Eminence In Shadow, Inexperienced Love Story and Frieren. All simply superb and excellent intros too. As for the podcasts this week we got the usual awesome killers like Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension and Into The Aether. But of course we got Remap Radio and Minnmax coming in hot again as just really excellent things to listen to while really getting into some of these excellent games coming out. Been playing RE 4 Separate Ways over and over again. Love it. Gonna stop soon though, Alan Wake 2 comes out in a few days.

I'm currently stuck between Warface & Starfield GGs

I was playing Hi Fi Rush all weekend, not had that much fun with a game in ages. I dipped into Starfield again, but sadly I'm not feeling it anymore... it always makes me want to play No Mans Sky, so I did, and to be honest I have a better time with it.

Definitely Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor. By far the best open world game Xbox has come out with since Starfield.
