Almost €30 a month for Ultimate? I'd prefer to just buy a game outright at that price. Absolutely insane.

@TheGameThrifter It’s 2 days worth of data. It’s a great metric by any stretch of the imagination. Quoting 25m GamePass subs as if all those gamers are going to play it and all going to play it Day 1 is a wildly unrealistic expectation.

Rare must be one of the most mismanaged companies in gaming history. All that amazing IP and yet all they've managed to release in a decade is Sea of Thieves.

I really wanted to like it more than I do but the difficulty is just far too extreme. It makes segments of the game just not fun to play.

Whoever is responsible for naming products at Xbox should really be fired.

Think your writer needs a geography lesson, lots of those countries are in Europe e.g. Ukraine, Moldova, Albania…

Would Pure Xbox consider including the actual pricing for these titles in the table? I don’t find the % discounts you post on these articles particularly helpful.

It’s such a pity this hasn’t gotten a re-release or remaster in the years since as from what I can recall it was pretty graphically impressive.

This and Split Second being released days apart was awful scheduling and really tanked both titles, it’s a shame neither found a larger audience.

Super excited to try this out. Hoping Oblivion's release doesn't impact its sales. Incredibly poor timing on Microsoft's part to shadow drop it the same week they have a big Day 1 Game Pass RPG.

I thought this looked really cool and played it recently after picking it up for a tenner. Unfortunately it really is as bad as the reviews say with a dull open world and awful awful dialogue.

They only added additional points for every 5th level which still doesn't feel like enough. I did some, but not all, of the side quests.

The biggest update they need is to either make XP easier to come by or else give more ability points per level. I finished Avowed during the week with only a few skills updated.

This is the first time I've played a game Day 1 on GamePass and I'm baffled that it's advertised as releasing today but not until 6/7pm for those of us in European time zones.

Is anyone really surprised by this? As Microsoft torpedo the Xbox brand by removing all its exclusives then there’s no logical reason to pick up a Series X|S over a PS5.

It should have been delayed a few months for polish. Day 1 players should not be treated as beta testers.

Is it possible to just download the single player portion of the game? I've zero interest in the multiplayer stuff and don't want to download 150-200GB just to be lumbered with loads of extras I don't need.

Odd to see FIFA 19 so high, they're usually sold super cheap once each new iteration is released.

I almost bought this last week, glad I held off as would like to give it a shot.

I find this whole acquisition really confusing. The studio head and, presumably, most of the staff are long gone since the studio closed down a number of months ago.

They also now seem to only own the Hi-Fi Rush IP and no others. Wouldn't it have made more sense to just purchase the IP?

I find the whole resurrection of Tango so bizarre. Most of the staff presumably left when it originally shut several months ago, its founder is gone, and it no longer owns most of the IP it worked on. It would have made sense for someone else to have bought it before it shuttered but now it just feels like a reanimated corpse?

I really hope Atlas Fallen gets announced. It was rumoured a few weeks ago and I've been wanting to try it but we haven't heard anything official...

So long as the game is good the name will become irrelevant.

Loved this on PC back in the day, hoping there's lots of new content.

It might make Microsoft more money in the short-term but it's going to crater console sales. I regret getting my Series X since all the multiplatform shenanigans started.

Microsoft really put their whole Xbussy into that showcase, I’m impressed.

Would have loved some new Rare IP and a Gamepass shadow drop but apart from that it was great.

@Bionic-Spencer It’s already been released on other platforms? Or do you mean any sequels? I’d be very surprised if the latter doesn’t go multi-platform given Microsoft’s recent change in strategy for exclusives.

I’ve had an eye on this for a while but its inclusion on Game Pass feels imminent so not sure it’s worth buying.

I'm tempted to try Ubisoft+ for a month to play this and Avatar. It seems good value if you can play 2 new games.

@Tharsman I have very little interest in the video games but quite enjoyed the first season. It's nothing groundbreaking but a solid popcorn sci-fi show.

Surely another publisher could easily pick these up for digital distribution? If they'll run on Switch I can't image an Xbox port taking a lot of work...

Missing reviews for Dead Space and Jedi Survivor is wild considering they were two of the biggest single-player releases of the year. Any particular reason they weren’t covered?

This game wasn’t for me but the discourse around its review score still going on is beyond exhausting.

@Scirius Are you thinking of Quantum Break? It had a lot of coverage this year when it was removed from the Xbox store before being re-added.

If Microsoft don’t want to take a risk on a new entry then surely a remake of the first game is an obvious and easy entry point to test the waters.

It's been a pretty mixed year but definitely a step in the right direction. Starfield wasn't for me but it was definitely an exclusive the console needed. Microsoft just really need to pump the accelerate on game releases. Owning so many studios with so little first party output is getting frustrating.

I'm weirdly nervous for this release, it feels like such an important milestone in the Series X|S lifespan. I'm just hoping it's good and not a buggy mess.
