Every month, we bring you the latest news in terms of Xbox games that are shutting down their servers, and June's looking like a pretty busy month for server closures - including the departure of Ubisoft's free-to-play FPS, XDefiant.
This is easily the most notable server closure over the next few weeks, although Resident Evil Re:Verse is also one to highlight, along with a couple of Xbox One-specific shutdowns for The First Descendant and Black Desert that are being continued with Xbox Series X|S versions in the future instead.
So, here's the full list of Xbox games turning off their servers in June 2025:
- XDefiant (June 3, 2025)
- The First Descendant for Xbox One (June 19, 2025)
- Black Desert for Xbox One (June 26, 2025)
- Resident Evil Re:Verse (June 29, 2025)
- Madden NFL 21 (June 30, 2025)
- Stampede: Racing Royale (June TBD, 2025)
As you can see, the only server closure without a specific date on this list is Stampede: Racing Royale, which was announced back in March to be closing in around three months' time, placing it in the June 2025 window.
Looking at the list as a whole, we're particularly gutted to be losing XDefiant in just a few days' time on Xbox, as we've had a decent time with it overall! Free-to-play is always a gamble though, and it clearly hasn't worked out in this case.
