The Witcher 3 Xbox Controller Sells Out, Instantly Targeted By Scalpers

Yesterday's announcement of The Witcher 3's two new Xbox controllers (celebrating the franchise's 10th anniversary) proved extremely popular, to the point where they've started selling out in multiple regions already.

The problem is that they're exclusive to the Microsoft Store, meaning that when they sell out on there, there's no longer an official way to buy them. As a result, we're seeing some scalpers asking for a lot more money on the likes of eBay.

Here's an example that was posted to the Xbox Reddit a few hours ago:

There are other listings that are more reasonable for these Witcher 3 controllers, but ultimately they don't make much sense to us - paying double the price (or more) feels like a big stretch just to get your hands on one of these!

You never just know when the Microsoft Store is suddenly going to start making them available again as well, as they may be getting released in batches. If you're really keen on buying one, it's worth checking on a regular basis.
