Very excited to play Control Resonant. I don't typically pre-order games anymore since it's all a BS racket nowadays, but I went ahead and did this past weekend and redeem $30 in Xbox credit. First game I've pre-ordered since 2020

I don't quite remember as it's been so long, but it might have been the Pirate or Skull one. But I had used the Borderlands 1 Psycho gamerpic from the moment I unlocked it in BL1 and used it until well into my XB1 days. I don't think I changed it until like 7 years ago

This genuinely looked interesting to me in the previews and I was a little disappointed that it was PC only, and the ambivalent when the reviews came in. I hope they did fix everything, or most everything that was wrong with the PC launch when they launch on consoles

I don't use cloud gaming myself, but what's going to happen when The Powers That Be continue to push us toward a future where we don't own anything and the next console is too expensive because LLM-AI centric BS hoovers up all the electronic components, and we're forced to use cloud-based services to play games? Maybe we'll get nights and weekends free like (at least in the US) we used to with SMS and calls during the early-ish days of cellphones!! Joy!

My body is ready for Control Resonant and I am very excited for it. By the time it releases, I should have a good chunk of MS Rewards / Xbox credit to shave off that price tag

@oopsiezz Larian has talked about this before but they refuse to put it on Gamepass

@Tasuki, honestly it was probably better that the CTO was the one who responded publicly about this than Asha. Sure, she's the face of Xbox now, but he's the one who leads the divisions that this impacts. He has more knowledge about it and it would make more sense to have him talk about it and than Asha regurgitate it

I picked up Silent Hill 2 as the most notable, and then a handful of indies: Mediterranea Inferno, Project Songbird, Sleep Awake, and Garfield Kart Furious Racing (to play with the kiddo)

Managed to convince my parents to get me an OG Xbox and then my aunt to get Halo (Platinum Hits version) and Morrowind GOTY for me for Christmas when I was in middle school. I had to hide the ESRB rating from them at first lol

I had $29 in Xbox credit from Rewards so I used it on Silent Hill 2 last night! Excited for that, especially since I've been on a Bloober Team kick this year. Haven't looked at the sales beyond what's in my wishlist, but I've got my eyes and wallet on Project Songbird, Will: Follow the Light, and Sleep Awake since they're currently in the sale

Currently playing through A Plague Tale Requiem and very excited to see Resonance is going to be a Day One GP title. I was wondering if it was going to be and I was holding out to see and then plan my next MS Rewards to either cash out for it or Control Resonant in September (funny both have the word/adjective/noun)

If you haven't played it, I'd recommend Hell is Us, especially at $16. Great, atmospheric game with a lot of intriguing world- and lorebuilding. The combat can be a bit dry and repetitive, but man, that story had me really engrossed and totally overlooked that. It's a game that doesn't hold your hand and you've gotta put 2 and 2 together. I found myself keeping a written log of things and I haven't done that in years. Made me miss it, to be honest

I'm probably gonna shoot for Silent Hill 2 since I missed the last sale it was on a couple months ago, but I do want to recommend both Cronos: New Dawn and Hell is Us. I played both earlier this year and they were both so good. I'm excited for the upcoming Lazarus DLC for Cronos, and bummed that we probably won't get anything else out of Hell is Us

I got mine through Affirm in November 2024 with 18 monthly payments of $30 - so around $540. I actually just got it paid off in May

Never heard of Invasion from Beyond, but it looks like it could be fun!

Am I in the minority here over being nonplussed about the 2 days of early access? In the scheme of things, that's nothing. Even if you're paying the same amount for the XSX vs PS5 version. It's 48 hours

I haven't visited the site yet, but they need to fix the reviews on games. Only people who have some time in a game should be able to leave a review instead of a review instead of a game getting reviewed-bombed (particularly gamepass games) because it's "leftist marxist communist woke propaganda" and not the "big guns and hammer me smash things including me last brain cell" that they think Gamepass should only be comprised of

@Elbow I played through Cronos a few weeks ago and it's one of my favorite games this year. Wasn't really scary but it was incredibly atmospheric and tense and it was just so good. I might go back and play it on NG+, but I hope they release more content for it. I actually ended up getting a couple of Bloober's earlier games because of Cronos, Observer and Medium. Almost done with Medium

I just crossed over the 200k threshold a couple of weeks ago, so I'm excited to rock that badge

I'm excited for The Sinking City 2? I played through the remaster earlier this year after it was on sale for $8 and really enjoyed it
