Watch Dogs: Legion was considered GTA in London but you could play as an old granny who at any moment could suffer a cardiac arrest and perma-die.

The idea behind the game was really cool. The ability to strike up a chat with any Londoner in your path and enlist them into your gang of cyber-hackers sounded revolutionary, which made it quite the letdown when the game built around it was pretty naff.

According to Insider Gaming, Ubisoft is planning to re-release Watch Dogs: Legion in the form of a 'Director's Cut'. Targeting a 2027 release window, there's a chance the GTA rival may end up getting another shot at popularity.

"Next year, in the first half of 2027, Ubisoft plans to release a director’s cut of Watch Dogs: Legion, revisiting London and giving the game a second pass."

Legion is the third instalment in the Watch Dogs series centred around the concept of being one heck of a hacker. Reviews placed it as the worst of the three, criticising it for its 'underwhelming plot' and 'buggy performance issues'.

Personally, I didn't mind the game. Not enough games realise the UK in the way Legion did London, so it got a bit of leeway with me. But the main question is: how would you feel giving Watch Dogs: Legion a second chance for redemption? Be sure to vote in the poll below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

Would you consider playing Watch Dogs: Legion again in 2027?
