I am not here to claim rumors nor add to much fuel to their fire. But do remember it’s been leaked that MS has made a 16 billion dollar offer to acquire Steam / Valve. Not saying it happens but if it does there is your answer to how Steam on Xbox makes money. The likelihood of it is low yes. But it has been reported and Valve hasn’t commented. With the digital age upon us, Storefronts and IP’s is the battle ground, not unit sales. MAU, which even Sony just listed as trying to grow and they sell plenty of hardware units. Micro transactions and digital storefronts is the money and has been for a while now, MS will continue to invest in that as they own a plethora of IP’s already, next up a storefront or multiple store fronts to go alongside Gamepass. Again not saying it happens but 16 billion is pocket change for MS that admitted they still have 90 billion to invest after the ABK deal. Maybe they don’t invest all that into gaming, maybe some of that goes to cloud, AI and other core MS projects. But 16 out of 90 would be ink to paper if Valve agrees.
@Millionski it has already been said MS has green light the next gen console. Could other PC/Console builds exist from other OEMS time will tell but it’s likely. Which could be really cool. I’d be interested in a high end Razor Xbox model with more power at any cost.
It’s already been leaked that MS is planning a Xbox and Sufface device to use ARM. Likely a Snapdragon. This would be perfect for the handheld. Now will it carry into the home console. I have zero clue. But MS using ARM was even leaked in the ABK file under future plans. Not that that can’t change. @Titntin this is going to be 1 sku for the lower entry, the main hardware will be the powerfully PC/Console hybrid. This has been leaked and rumored for a while now. So you could just skip the handheld and get the main console. I do like the option tho, as it sounds like PS6 also will be doing a handheld and console as they have two deals with AMD for SOC’s. So you can skip that one too and get the console from Sony. 😊
The Purple Browse the Store should be Gone, there is already a Store icon at the top. That should be gone, then just cut one ad and it’s only 2, sure it be nice to have none but lets be real. So by removing the Purple Store and just 1 add that cleans up the bottom, i like the ability to only have a few games in the row. That i would use. So i welcome this. It would be a nice update. Hope to see it roll out soon.
@nomither6 been getting a few of the smaller things for it. The 5080 is near impossible to find and still jacked high in price, I’d like to slowly build it as Gears of War E-Day is the game i will want it finished by. Tho of course i will be keeping my Xbox of course and Switch 2. PS games would just be PC at that point. I rarely play much on PS5 as you know i dislike their controllers since the dawn of time HAHA

I think that say’s all thats needed for my console purchase, but i want to add that much of my excitement with Xbox comes from chatting and learning from you guys and see you all excited as well about Xbox games and news. We thick as thieves over here. This site alongside yall have made the Xbox that much more fun for me. We all love to see the good news and try and be positive when things aren’t going right. @PlatinumMikey Ford maverick is barely a truck. I was talking F150 and Silverado 1500 and up. Tho my best friends wife bought a maverick and likes it. I wouldn’t pull a boat with it tho. Just saying, Fords, Chevys and Rams are all great trucks. Even the Tundra is decent.

There is still no deal in place with China and the deals aren’t meant to hurt china, it’s meant for the US not to lose money, but if China wants to play dirty we can sink their economy with all those boats in their bay right. China is nervous and they are the ones starting to crack and negotiate. Without the US importing goods they are poor. They want to get a deal done and we want a deal done. 15 Billion dollars in a month and we still got more deals to be made. We were losing that in a few days before with those crooked deals.
@PlatinumMikey Nissan trucks aren’t awful, they just don’t sell cause Nissan don’t put the R&D into their truck line up like Ford and Chevy and Ram. So no they don’t make better trucks and thats largely why they didn’t sell. Less payload, less MPG, less horsepower etc etc. they weren’t junk, just not what they specialize in. Ford has been the leader in truck sales for almost 5 decades now. The best selling vehicles in America are trucks. Nissan really should take a merger with Honda tho. It be smart business for them.

The cost of housing is what is leading to people spending less on goods and services. You need to make 124K a year to own a home, most salaries are closer to $65-74K, the money to put a roof over your head is the main cause. Then throw in property taxes on the inflated home values and you are left with empty pockets. But Tech always bounces back and job will come open for future projects. Not like Apple, MS and Google are going away, they will rehire in time.
@MrMagic Nissan got rid of its full size truck production cause they don’t compete with Ford, Chevy and Ram. That was a huge loss of jobs that had nothing to do with tariffs or government. Simply put Nissan don’t make better full size truck than Ford or Chevy. The internet is full of lazy answers so i try and help when and where i can. Nissan should have taken the merger with Honda when they had the chance. Honda moves a lot of units like a Ford or Chevy, would have been good for a lesser high volume brand in Nissan.
I will for sure get one, missed the pre order, but have many friends in retail that will tell me to come snag one when it’s in stock. I only use a Nintendo console for Nintendo games, but for me that is worth the investment. Excited for Mario Kart and Metroid Prime 4. Plus i love playing Super Nes games on it. Super Punch out one of my all time favorites. Looking forward to it. I suspect in 3-4 years we will get a Oled model as Nintendo always revises their handhelds.

@Millionski the thing is PS5 and Xbox Series consoles are PC’s now. They are just locked down controlled PC’s. They all use AMD chipsets and SSD’s etc etc. it’s a PC build part wise with under the hood UI’s and closed box functions. So the next Xbox build will be the same with just more open features of the PC. Hence you will play it like a console, same under the tv ease of use. Just running WIN32 like PC games. It’s not as far off from what we have now as some think. Which more open seems good if they do it right. But this is MS so expect something to be janky in the beginning haha
There was a dev that said he got to see Gears of War E-day and said it was the best looking video game he ever seen. Coalition is the best with UE 5 so i expect that game to be breathtaking but Rockstar games are just next level. RDR2 was the best looking game that generation and 1/3 of this Gen honestly. I expect GTA 6 to be the benchmark for years and years to come. Very few devs have this type and of talent and most importantly budget. Not to mention knowing whatever they spend on the project they will get back 10 fold.
@FraserG PS5 Pro won’t be able to be 60 either unless they do 1080P, the CPU in the Pro is largely the same as the one in PS5 and Series X. PS5 Pro will have the better looking lighting and textures for sure. Not 60 fps tho, the same with RDR 2 when it came out. The One X did better 4K visual but the CPU had no chance at 60fps.
When this game comes to PC i can’t wait to see how far peoples rigs push this title. Cause it is seriously impressive looking, and will likely be in the top selling game charts for 10 years.
This is going to break the industry. GTA 5 is still selling and it looks awful, this looks like the best game and modeling actions i have ever seen in a game. 10/10 in terms of visuals and just raising the bar as rockstar games always do these days.
I for sure see them doing 2 and 3 and selling them for $50 as they will have more content with Horde mode. So if that’s the case they can get $140 for 3 games instead of putting them all in a bundle for $70 and having to maybe rush dev time to have them all ready for a certain date of release.Much like Capcom did with the Resident evil remakes. As to when we will see Part 2 & 3 that is anyone’s guess but they will come, Then the Rumors of Halo being remade and at some point Halo 2 and 3. Again selling them separate and getting them on PS5. Plus with GP it is all about having games dropping every so often to make it a more exciting monthly subscription. So this works well as well. Can’t wait to play this and i will play it on both Series X and PS5. Gears is my favorite IP in gaming so i will double dip.
@OldGamer999 Yeah the Switch is something i only use for Nintendo games and i only want MKW at the moment. Metroid Prime 4 as well but that’s a little later. So i ain’t in a rush to get it day and date but i do want it. Thats good you were able to secure a pre order. I was to busy and forgot and then once i did remember they were sold out. But i think at that price i will be able to find one shortly after launch.
@Fiendish-Beaver i too am a little disappointed that 2 and 3 aren’t finished. Now that collection would have been super insane. Looks like they will do the resident evil remake thing here and sell them separately to make more money. They can stretch it to $120 for all 3 games this way. Which i will no doubt buy on both Series X and PS5. But i really wanted to see all 3. Happy that the no PVP rumor was wrong. Gears without the online modes would have been a big letdown. Wonder how long we will have to wait to get part 2?
@OldGamer999 you aren’t wrong. I never get the special editions anymore cause there is rarely anything i want. If Gears did a really cool one i would do that. I would be ok with buying a Gears controller if they will do it. But yeah gamers are some of the worst fan’s of any hobby. They complain and then do the thing they complain about. Nothings new other than the internet is here as a tool to keep their receipts.
@OldGamer999 yeah it’s looking different for sure. I am trying to finish South of Midnight now . I am on Chapter 7 so not to much more to go than onto Doom. Crazy to think in around a months time we will have the Switch 2 on shelves and the MS Showcase. I am intersted in what surprise announcements MS will have there. I’d like to think there is 2-3 new game announcements and of course we should see Gears E-Day gameplay, more Fable gameplay and others. It should be good.
@OldGamer999 i am sure it will be Doom here in a few weeks. But i will add another Point for Avowed, i didn’t love it at first until i understood how to play it better. Then i really liked it and put in a little over 40 hours.
@Fiendish-Beaver the end game is the same for MS and it is Sony it’s just Sony is in better position to wait and that end game is…. CLOUD. I mean the day you don’t need hardware to get great performance is the day every single TV is a video game “console” sale. MS has to keep hardware around long enough to solve Cloud gaming and when they do, the Xbox is an App on all devices. Sony themselves said once in an interview with Jim Ryan that Cloud is the future but they weren’t yet looking to it until the tech catches up more. Cloud, PC and Mobile is likely the future but we might be to old to see it in it’s best form. A expensive piece of hardware sitting under your TV that does little to nothing outside of playing games is in it’s beginning stages of being an unnecessary purchase for the younger market coming up in gaming.
@OldGamer999 i always wanted to sell my Series X and get the all white digital for my setup. It would have looked nice and of course got me a new machine as my Series X is from 2020 and i play it a lot. Just never got around to it and now the hike. I tried to see if anyone was selling for the old price and i didn’t see any. Oh well I’ll keep mine and wait for next gen. Glad you snagged one tho and hope you like it.
@Kaloudz I would like to see it be a launch or early life title for the next Gen Xbox. Giving fan’s a new experience and excitement around it. Xbox in my opinion has to start thinking about what next gen titles they will have ready cause i think the more they get that first launch line up out and then the following 12-18 months is very important for the console.
@FraserG thats how i got the game releases going as well. I think the Gears collection will get some fan are around the series again. Those games are not only not on PS but 2 and 3 are not on PC. So that is a nice start for hyping up E-day in 2026. There is even a little rumor going around that the collection could shadow drop at the event like an oblivion release. Fable is looking really good and the extra year of polish is going to make it even that much more.
MS is likely to show even more new titles in development at the June showcase making it a great show. Crazy to think in 2 weeks we have Doom. What a year and as always I appreciate the great coverage on all thats happening.
Hell i am wearing 2 products now that are made solely in Texas. I also have 2 guns on my night stand made in the US. I get it i said things that hurt your feelings. But prices on goods and services are coming down here and remember the whole world is in agreement with fair trade and tariffs. Only China has resistance.
I have a question for you, why did hardware go up and software on video games go up before these tariffs? What i am concerned about is Xbox is about to sell next to no hardware with prices that are worse than PS5. However it’s be long reported Series S was sold at a $100 loss and Series X at $200 loss. There was no Black Friday deals and now a hike in price. Meanwhile Sony is breaking even and often times making a few dollars on their hardware. Another mistake MS must fix next gen.
@MathiasBS lots of leaders in the US took and made bad deals with China, China has their own Tarffis as all countries do. But many countries want fair trade. There is a lot of people in favor of tariffs and less taxes. I for one have heard some deals that should have people kicked out of our country, but i follow this stuff very closely. I’m very interested in seeing where it goes. But many think it will be very good for world trade. I learned that Canada has a 263% tariff on chicken, butter 175% and milk 155%. To think we were putting in a 10% tariff and those were all before we asked for 10%.
@Hoodie718 Tech companies are already bringing semi conductor plants to America, Automotive plants are coming back to America it’s been reported and we would like more pharmaceuticals to join in as well. Those are good jobs. I agree not everything makes sense to be made here. American made products are better but i agree do cost more.
@IOI we didn’t screw the rest of the world NIntendo and Sony and MS did. Most goods aren’t even going up yet, cause Tarffis have been placed on hold while negotiations go on. I can send you a list of companies that are either coming back to the US or ones that are coming here to do business alongside their other areas of buinesss. I am more than happy with my country standing up to bad deals that should have never been made in the first place. Without the US buying goods the rest of the world is screwed, we are the largest market in the world to sell goods to. We want fair trade, the rest of the world outside of china wants far trade. Not everything is as bad as the ones doing the stealing would like you to believe it is. Now back to Video games, i don’t think many games will be $79.99 cause they don’t have that type of clout. Halo, Gears, Fable sure, i don’t see anything from Complusion games being priced that way, so i am in the spot of wait and see which titles they do this with. I can’t see the whole industry going to 80 when most games aren’t selling well in general until the go on sale.
@IOI it’s not poor decisions. China rips the US off and we aren’t allowing it no more. The idea is the tariffs will bring a lot of manufacturing back to the states, which it already has started to do so. Also the tarffis will pay for no federal income tax coming out of our checks. So some of us are happy to see trade being fairly evened out across the globe, the only one not playing ball around the world is China, cause their whole economy is stealing intellectual properties and tariffs. It won’t last long tho cause the rest of the world seems the benefit of being an equal partner to the US and not ripping us and everyone else off. Medicine is made in china for around $5 dollars a bottle and with their tarffis it cost the US 30 plus dollar. Those days are over and i for one am happy for it. We might pay a little more in the beginning but it won’t last long and the rest of the world is on our side cause they benefit from better trade opportunities also. Inflation is starting to go down in the US on fuel and food costs. Next we have to reset the interest rates which will be ugly for a while before it get’s better. But in the end prices were soaring during our last leader and no one said much, now we have one trying to undo that and it’s a harder job than one thinks. It takes time. Video games are a smaller issues when people can’t get insulin at 10 dollars cause china and others trade it for $80 a shot.
This generation sure has been crazy with the prices. That tells me the rumors of the next gen consoles costing $700 or even $800 might be true, as Sony and Microsoft look to no longer take huge losses on hardware. Glad i have all mine bought and paid for. Sad for those that can’t afford to get into console gaming, this didn’t help.

Maybe they seen the reaction the extraction shooter Marathon is getting which is mixed and i might be being generous saying mixed on that being in that genre. I played 500-600 hours of Titan Fall on Xbox One, it was such a fun game for me. The 2nd one just died off to quickly and sadly we have likely seen the last of it.

@MrMagic Nissan got rid of its full size truck production cause they don’t compete with Ford, Chevy and Ram. That was a huge loss of jobs that had nothing to do with tariffs or government. Simply put Nissan don’t make better full size truck than Ford or Chevy. The internet is full of lazy answers so i try and help when and where i can. Nissan should have taken the merger with Honda when they had the chance. Honda moves a lot of units like a Ford or Chevy, would have been good for a lesser high volume brand in Nissan.

I will for sure get one, missed the pre order, but have many friends in retail that will tell me to come snag one when it’s in stock. I only use a Nintendo console for Nintendo games, but for me that is worth the investment. Excited for Mario Kart and Metroid Prime 4. Plus i love playing Super Nes games on it. Super Punch out one of my all time favorites. Looking forward to it. I suspect in 3-4 years we will get a Oled model as Nintendo always revises their handhelds.

@Millionski the thing is PS5 and Xbox Series consoles are PC’s now. They are just locked down controlled PC’s. They all use AMD chipsets and SSD’s etc etc. it’s a PC build part wise with under the hood UI’s and closed box functions. So the next Xbox build will be the same with just more open features of the PC. Hence you will play it like a console, same under the tv ease of use. Just running WIN32 like PC games. It’s not as far off from what we have now as some think. Which more open seems good if they do it right. But this is MS so expect something to be janky in the beginning haha

There was a dev that said he got to see Gears of War E-day and said it was the best looking video game he ever seen. Coalition is the best with UE 5 so i expect that game to be breathtaking but Rockstar games are just next level. RDR2 was the best looking game that generation and 1/3 of this Gen honestly. I expect GTA 6 to be the benchmark for years and years to come. Very few devs have this type and of talent and most importantly budget. Not to mention knowing whatever they spend on the project they will get back 10 fold.

@FraserG PS5 Pro won’t be able to be 60 either unless they do 1080P, the CPU in the Pro is largely the same as the one in PS5 and Series X. PS5 Pro will have the better looking lighting and textures for sure. Not 60 fps tho, the same with RDR 2 when it came out. The One X did better 4K visual but the CPU had no chance at 60fps.
When this game comes to PC i can’t wait to see how far peoples rigs push this title. Cause it is seriously impressive looking, and will likely be in the top selling game charts for 10 years.

This is going to break the industry. GTA 5 is still selling and it looks awful, this looks like the best game and modeling actions i have ever seen in a game. 10/10 in terms of visuals and just raising the bar as rockstar games always do these days.

I for sure see them doing 2 and 3 and selling them for $50 as they will have more content with Horde mode. So if that’s the case they can get $140 for 3 games instead of putting them all in a bundle for $70 and having to maybe rush dev time to have them all ready for a certain date of release.Much like Capcom did with the Resident evil remakes. As to when we will see Part 2 & 3 that is anyone’s guess but they will come, Then the Rumors of Halo being remade and at some point Halo 2 and 3. Again selling them separate and getting them on PS5. Plus with GP it is all about having games dropping every so often to make it a more exciting monthly subscription. So this works well as well. Can’t wait to play this and i will play it on both Series X and PS5. Gears is my favorite IP in gaming so i will double dip.

@OldGamer999 Yeah the Switch is something i only use for Nintendo games and i only want MKW at the moment. Metroid Prime 4 as well but that’s a little later. So i ain’t in a rush to get it day and date but i do want it. Thats good you were able to secure a pre order. I was to busy and forgot and then once i did remember they were sold out. But i think at that price i will be able to find one shortly after launch.

@Fiendish-Beaver i too am a little disappointed that 2 and 3 aren’t finished. Now that collection would have been super insane. Looks like they will do the resident evil remake thing here and sell them separately to make more money. They can stretch it to $120 for all 3 games this way. Which i will no doubt buy on both Series X and PS5. But i really wanted to see all 3. Happy that the no PVP rumor was wrong. Gears without the online modes would have been a big letdown. Wonder how long we will have to wait to get part 2?

@OldGamer999 you aren’t wrong. I never get the special editions anymore cause there is rarely anything i want. If Gears did a really cool one i would do that. I would be ok with buying a Gears controller if they will do it. But yeah gamers are some of the worst fan’s of any hobby. They complain and then do the thing they complain about. Nothings new other than the internet is here as a tool to keep their receipts.

@OldGamer999 yeah it’s looking different for sure. I am trying to finish South of Midnight now . I am on Chapter 7 so not to much more to go than onto Doom. Crazy to think in around a months time we will have the Switch 2 on shelves and the MS Showcase. I am intersted in what surprise announcements MS will have there. I’d like to think there is 2-3 new game announcements and of course we should see Gears E-Day gameplay, more Fable gameplay and others. It should be good.

@Fiendish-Beaver the end game is the same for MS and it is Sony it’s just Sony is in better position to wait and that end game is…. CLOUD. I mean the day you don’t need hardware to get great performance is the day every single TV is a video game “console” sale. MS has to keep hardware around long enough to solve Cloud gaming and when they do, the Xbox is an App on all devices. Sony themselves said once in an interview with Jim Ryan that Cloud is the future but they weren’t yet looking to it until the tech catches up more. Cloud, PC and Mobile is likely the future but we might be to old to see it in it’s best form. A expensive piece of hardware sitting under your TV that does little to nothing outside of playing games is in it’s beginning stages of being an unnecessary purchase for the younger market coming up in gaming.

It would have looked nice and of course got me a new machine as my Series X is from 2020 and i play it a lot. Just never got around to it and now the hike. @Kaloudz I would like to see it be a launch or early life title for the next Gen Xbox. Giving fan’s a new experience and excitement around it. Xbox in my opinion has to start thinking about what next gen titles they will have ready cause i think the more they get that first launch line up out and then the following 12-18 months is very important for the console.

@FraserG thats how i got the game releases going as well. I think the Gears collection will get some fan are around the series again. Those games are not only not on PS but 2 and 3 are not on PC. So that is a nice start for hyping up E-day in 2026. There is even a little rumor going around that the collection could shadow drop at the event like an oblivion release. Fable is looking really good and the extra year of polish is going to make it even that much more.
MS is likely to show even more new titles in development at the June showcase making it a great show. Crazy to think in 2 weeks we have Doom. What a year and as always I appreciate the great coverage on all thats happening.

Hell i am wearing 2 products now that are made solely in Texas. I also have 2 guns on my night stand made in the US. I get it i said things that hurt your feelings. But prices on goods and services are coming down here and remember the whole world is in agreement with fair trade and tariffs. Only China has resistance.
I have a question for you, why did hardware go up and software on video games go up before these tariffs? What i am concerned about is Xbox is about to sell next to no hardware with prices that are worse than PS5. However it’s be long reported Series S was sold at a $100 loss and Series X at $200 loss. There was no Black Friday deals and now a hike in price. Meanwhile Sony is breaking even and often times making a few dollars on their hardware. Another mistake MS must fix next gen.

@MathiasBS lots of leaders in the US took and made bad deals with China, China has their own Tarffis as all countries do. But many countries want fair trade. There is a lot of people in favor of tariffs and less taxes. I for one have heard some deals that should have people kicked out of our country, but i follow this stuff very closely. I’m very interested in seeing where it goes. But many think it will be very good for world trade. I learned that Canada has a 263% tariff on chicken, butter 175% and milk 155%. To think we were putting in a 10% tariff and those were all before we asked for 10%.

@Hoodie718 Tech companies are already bringing semi conductor plants to America, Automotive plants are coming back to America it’s been reported and we would like more pharmaceuticals to join in as well. Those are good jobs. I agree not everything makes sense to be made here. American made products are better but i agree do cost more.

@IOI we didn’t screw the rest of the world NIntendo and Sony and MS did. Most goods aren’t even going up yet, cause Tarffis have been placed on hold while negotiations go on. I can send you a list of companies that are either coming back to the US or ones that are coming here to do business alongside their other areas of buinesss. I am more than happy with my country standing up to bad deals that should have never been made in the first place. Without the US buying goods the rest of the world is screwed, we are the largest market in the world to sell goods to. We want fair trade, the rest of the world outside of china wants far trade. Not everything is as bad as the ones doing the stealing would like you to believe it is. Now back to Video games, i don’t think many games will be $79.99 cause they don’t have that type of clout. Halo, Gears, Fable sure, i don’t see anything from Complusion games being priced that way, so i am in the spot of wait and see which titles they do this with. I can’t see the whole industry going to 80 when most games aren’t selling well in general until the go on sale.

@IOI it’s not poor decisions. China rips the US off and we aren’t allowing it no more. The idea is the tariffs will bring a lot of manufacturing back to the states, which it already has started to do so. Also the tarffis will pay for no federal income tax coming out of our checks. So some of us are happy to see trade being fairly evened out across the globe, the only one not playing ball around the world is China, cause their whole economy is stealing intellectual properties and tariffs. It won’t last long tho cause the rest of the world seems the benefit of being an equal partner to the US and not ripping us and everyone else off. Medicine is made in china for around $5 dollars a bottle and with their tarffis it cost the US 30 plus dollar. Those days are over and i for one am happy for it. We might pay a little more in the beginning but it won’t last long and the rest of the world is on our side cause they benefit from better trade opportunities also. Inflation is starting to go down in the US on fuel and food costs. Next we have to reset the interest rates which will be ugly for a while before it get’s better. But in the end prices were soaring during our last leader and no one said much, now we have one trying to undo that and it’s a harder job than one thinks. It takes time. Video games are a smaller issues when people can’t get insulin at 10 dollars cause china and others trade it for $80 a shot.

That tells me the rumors of the next gen consoles costing $700 or even $800 might be true, as Sony and Microsoft look to no longer take huge losses on hardware. Maybe they seen the reaction the extraction shooter Marathon is getting which is mixed and i might be being generous saying mixed on that being in that genre. I played 500-600 hours of Titan Fall on Xbox One, it was such a fun game for me. The 2nd one just died off to quickly and sadly we have likely seen the last of it.
