There's been a lot of talk about PlayStation games coming to Xbox in recent weeks - kickstarted by the announcement of Helldivers 2 for Xbox back in early July, as well as reports and rumours suggesting more are on the way.

However, our sister site Push Square recently reported about Xbox fans jumping to conclusions over a seemingly innocent tweet from the Marvel's SpiderMan team, and now the same thing seems to be happening with Days Gone.

In a post on Twitter from Bend Studio (developer of Days Gone), the team posted a single emoji:

This suddenly attracted a barrage of Xbox fans who all questioned whether the cryptic tweet might be referring to an Xbox port for the 2019 game, a few examples of which you can see below:

Is an Xbox release for Days Gone possible? Sure, anything's possible at this point. It's worth keeping in mind that the Remastered version was released for PS5 earlier this year as well, and perhaps Sony could be interested in squeezing a few more sales out of a technically six-year-old game on a new platform.

This tweet certainly shouldn't be taken as confirmation though, as there's nothing to suggest they're referring to Xbox - a similar situation to what happened with SpiderMan a few weeks ago. We'll let you know if anything further comes of it, but for now, it's best not to get your hopes up based on a seemingly innocent social media post like this!
