@Coletrain it’s a great ecosystem and i really enjoy it myself. Glad to see you are happy with it. I think next gen they will really hit their stride with any screen can access Xbox and your saves carry from device to device. Something Sony and Nintendo don’t have.

@Fiendish-Beaver Yeah every season you make a new character, but 1-60 is now very fast to hit so you spend less time grinding and more time doing the seasonal powers and stories. I still love the game. Is it perfect? No but i am a Diablo fanatic.

@Banjo- as always very well said. I’m of the age of when I remember when Xbox was “dead” with the OG Xbox. Gamers think that 3rd place in the video games market equals death when the truth is there is a lot of money to be had in that space. Sure MS has made many if not countless errors in their messaging. I wont deny it. But GP is still an option, last i checked you can still buy games on their store which is what i do. I just prefer it and always did. i slightly wish Xbox would do a video with AMD to show their next gen efforts. Not show the console but to show they have it being readied. So we could link that link to the haters. Sony hardcore fans are the worst and the ones with channels are even worse. Until the day Sony has a controller that doesn’t hurt my left hand and thumb i will be on Xbox. Not cause they have better PR and gamers hearts but because since OG Xbox this has been my preferred place to play and playing is the more important stat here. Maybe i am being biased or rambling but i love Xbox, it’s my favorite MS product. I can’t even think of a world they aren’t in the space, be that cloud, PC or console. Again brother I appreciate your knowledge, support and dictation to this brand. It’s another factor in what makes it special to me.

@Coletrain well said, it’s not news that Xbox hardware sells slow and steady compared to others. I said it before time and time again MS don’t help themselves but they ain’t making up these types of stories. The funny thing to me is most of these people are using windows computers and gaming PC’s and acting like they dislike MS so much. I am a 18 year exclusive Apple user, hate windows and PC’s in general, and LOVE LOVE the Xbox Ecosystem and have for close to 2 decades. I think MS gets gaming more than they think and they try and reinvent it to much. Stay simple and grounded and have some exclusives and they could be doing so much better. They frustrate me but i love my Xbox.

@Valhura agreed, I hit the 10 hour mark on BF6 and i like it a lot but the gun play on COD is still better and COD has maps that keep the game fast as where BF is a lot slower in my opinion. I think a next gen only COD would be amazing and would take all eyes off BF. COD needs a fresh and i think BF6 is a little over hyped tho really fun.

I would have thought Diablo 4 with the expansion to be on sale. Season 10 is really good. I am sure there will be more in the next week or so.

@Coletrain i fully agree with you Cole. Hard to believe others don’t see the benefit in that. They just want Xbox out at any cost. Even tho they don’t realize how much it will hurt them. But if it happens they will surely be online singing a new tune. Can’t fix ignorance .

@Banjo- i have been saying it for 3 years now. The ENDGAME is PC, Mobile and Cloud. Does that mean console is gone and never made again? No, but they will be the smaller pie in 15 years or less. Cause the younger upcoming gamers will want a PC and something mobile be that a phone or handheld. That is what they want now they are just too young to be able to afford it. MS needs a console until Cloud can convert 20 plus million players. So i fully expect MS to do another console and take it from there. PC gaming is growing to record high numbers and it ain’t slowing down anytime soon.

@Banjo- my brother well said. Anyone can claim to have heard this and turn it into a full blown Xbox is leaving the market and it trends on YouTube and websites. This was a target employee, not supervisor, not manager, not CEO but an employee and MS has to come out and defend it. Also to your point. Digital is the future and what people are buying these days. It’s no secret MS owners buy digital and stores are shrinking if not getting rid of that space. CD’s and movies are no longer in stores but we know movies and music are still being made. It’s all so silly seeing it is a lot of times coming from a source that wants Xbox out. They will never stop picking on the 3rd place console marker ever. I remember when the Wii-u was doing poorly everyone was saying Nintendo should leave hardware and go 3rd party. Then comes the Switch and now they love them. Will Xbox have a switch turnaround moment? Likely not. But they don’t have too, they have to make money and lately they have been. Do MS bring bad looks to them from time to time, for sure. Do i think they need to button up some areas of marketing and image? 1000% but they have been saying they are making a next gen console and have a deal with AMD. Leave it be until they say otherwise. This is just non sense. I am thankfully there are people like you saying what you do. The industry would be worse without MS. We need the Big 3 around. Sony by themselves would be a nightmare. Look at what not competing in the high end graphics card market from AMD allowed Nvida to get away with for proof of what i am saying.

I bought Battlefield 6 on Friday and then bought Borderlands 4 on Saturday. So i am good for a while unless this Red Dead 2 Remaster is truly happening in a few weeks. Then I’ll but that too.

BF6 is so so good. I am loving it. No COD for me this year. I think i will stick with BF until COD drops support for last gen consoles.

@DennisReynolds i agree with ya, they have done a great job with the launch which isn’t easy seeing as this is the 3rd highest launch day in Steam history, plus consoles, there was a ton of server traffic all day on that game. I am really loving it.

Now for my little rant. This is what the industry should look like, instead of most gamers wanting other companies to leave the industry, or write them off when something fails, then we wouldn’t have BF6 cause 2042 was a mess. What we have now is BF back in a big way and COD needing to step it up and make a better COD game. This is what makes gamers get better products. Not cheering and wishing for other brands and IP to leave the space and you are a smart person, you know what i am getting at with this and how it’s targeted at to see. 😊

Wow BF6 multiplayer is an absolute blast to play and look at. Audio is top notch too. 10/10 for online play, haven’t played the Single player but i seen reviews saying it’s average at best. But wow Battlefield is back in a huge way, well done EA. COD has serious competition and i likely skip COD until it leaves last gen behind.

For an extra 5% to play with a Sony controller that hurts my left thumb…. I’ll pass. Playing on Xbox. My left thumb thanks me. I only use that controller for exclusives and with the PS5 it’s not been all that many i care to play.

@nomither6 so well said. You always hit the nail on the head when all 3 are doing well and earning our dollar and time is when gaming is better. I always like your post brother. Especially when you help me make fun of that over sized PS5 controller. That baby hurts my left thumb like bad.

This game isn’t well optimized for any platform. Doesn’t help that Randy is on X saying dumb stuff, instead of just fixing the game to run better. Instead he is saying it’s your hardwares fault and refund the game on steam if you aren’t happy. I mean that is just bad PR for a good game once patched up more. That guy costs that team money. Seems insane not to shut him up somehow.

Never owned a Series S but of course love my Series X. One of my favorite console ever actually. I wish i had the space currently for a PC gaming Desk and Chair. I would throw a monitor on it and get a second Series X and play it that way for certain games and then play other games on the couch with the Series X and LG Oled combo i have now. But my job is work from home so i already have limited space due to needing that to be all work related. It’s still a great trade off not having to sit in traffic all day and pay for gas. Can’t wait to see the design and the Ui and controller updates from the next gen Xbox.

@Fiendish-Beaver All be it just a rumor so i wouldn’t say it’s for sure. But that MS will use these cards on the next console and maybe have an additional options for just installing a SSD. That would be really nice to have both options. Time will tell. It’s not a for sure thing. But would make customers happy. I love my 1TB card. Would love to have a 2TB. I do like how easy they are to use even tho they are a tad high in price. 😀

@Titntin Yeah i know what you mean. I don’t take mine outside the house either. I buy the Switch like it’s a home console that just happens to also be portable. I think you’ll like Donkey Kong Bananza. It’s some of the most fun I’ve had in a while. Mario Odyssey was my favorite Mario game maybe ever. For sure top 2 and of course that team did Donkey Kong, so i knew i had to get it. There is so many games coming out soon that i need to finish DKB here soon. The next few months are going to be a lot of games. Which is about time, I’ve bought very little this year haha

@Titntin i think it looks good. But we won’t see the big change in the controller until MS releases the next Xbox. Then we should see some change and 3rd parties can license it out easier.

I fully expect to see a Asus Xbox at some point. But for now it’s smart to just focus on the handheld. Which is looking really nice. I just don’t use a handheld enough to get one. However i did play some Donkey Kong Bananza in bed the other night on Switch 2 and that was pretty nice. 😊

@WildConcept6 i agree with you 100%. I would like to see it play out that way too. But it is looking like 2027 for the next MS Xbox. Which i think ties into the work they are doing with AMD. Either way i will wait to buy the 1st party Xbox. Then maybe 2 years later if say Razer did one that was high end. I would buy that and use it as a PC on a monitor and have the 1st party Xbox under the Tv. 😊

@Millionski @Fiendish-Beaver thats the rumor that Asus might have a PC/Xbox console for 2026. MS’s 1st party console coming in 2027. So i am not sure how that will play out. But Asus seems happy to work with MS, so it likely could come. However and this is what has me thinking 2026 might be early and thats the chipset MS is using with AMD for multiple devices. Not sure that will be ready but if so, i am all for it.

Was hoping it was going to be a tease of the Asus Xbox console that is rumored to be hitting in 2026 before the first party Xbox. But the controller does look nice. I guess if true they wouldn’t want to steal eyes away from the handheld. Time will tell. Nice looking controller tho.

I got it installed and ready to go for next week, i am looking forward to the PVP and since we know every inch of the ultimate edition. I want to see the work put into this. Cause watching the video. They did do a lot to it. I just want to see what that translates to on screen. E-day can’t come fast enough friend! 😀

@Fiendish-Beaver Trust me i hope you are right. But buddy i followed every site and reporter on that Gears collection and it was so back and forth as to if it was real or not. Every June showcase i would wait for it and no matter how good the showcase was i was disappointed in no Gears collection announcement. But if you are right and the work is started or close to done then we could see the trilogy much much sooner. As a crazy hardcore Gears fan i just want it all.i will be all over reloaded’s PVP. Then in 2026 we should get a big showing of E-Day for the June showcase. That’s my hope anyways. 😀

@Fiendish-Beaver yeah for sure, i didn’t reference that right, for PC it’s about getting the full trilogy and of course all 3 for PS. No telling when we would see part 2. That game will take a lot of work and time. Could be a while.

If we are going off the leaked document. They have a new battery solution for the controller listed alongside other nice features and enhancements. The Elite series controller have amazing battery life. I have the new Switch 2 Pro controller since launch and only charged it once. It’s insane how good that battery solution is.

It’s more than a controller, to SMJ’s point. It’s been heavily rumored by Xbox insiders that in 2026 we will get a ASUS Xbox console then in 2027 the first party Xbox console will land. Then maybe other OEMS in the future. I wonder if this is a reveal. Could be cool. Asus is for sure on board with the Console/PC hybrid trend from MS. So i am interested to see if this rumor pans out.

@Valhura yes this one is made for the PC and PS crowd. Which i am good with, more players is a good thing in my book. Plus we get the upgrade for free so i am for sure ok with that. I will be on PVP making PS gamers rage quit!!

@Fiendish-Beaver i think they do do Horde. I think in order for Gears to grow and stay in the spotlight you have to give the new players the full experience. This reloaded was rumored to not have PVP and i was just not so sure on that. Happy my gut feeling was right and it’s there. I think Gears 2 and 3 on PC and PS will explode the franchise again in terms of sales and player numbers. So i am happy to see it expanding as i can sink thousands of hours into PVP and a decent into Horde with friends as well. Favorite IP ever even tho it’s been dry lately!!

@J_Mo_Money i know what you mean. Call me crazy, but i just never had any interest in buying a Steam Deck. I know Steam as a storefront is great and i have respect for it. But their hardware and controllers do nothing for me. But i am excited to see what MS and Sony do with their handhelds. Plus i am enjoying my Switch 2. Donkey Kong Bananza is just a master class of fun.

@Fiendish-Beaver this game is for sure to get people on PS and PC ready to buy E-day. I am happy to have this version as it is much nicer looking. But us crazy hardcore Gears fan’s crave more than reloaded. Now if this was Gears of War 2 Reloaded, i would be a kid in a candy store right now. E-Day can’t come soon enough brother!!

@J_Mo_Money agreed, the older i get the more i buy less games but play the same few games for way more time and buy skins and maps etc etc. i have over 1000 hours into Diablo 4 and easily do more than that with Gears of War and Red Dead Redemption. But when i do want to try new games. There is a ton on Xbox and PC. Plus i do have a PS5 and Switch 2. Tho i only play a few 1st party games on each. I will say tho, i took a chance on Donkey Kong Bananza and it is INSANELY FUN. I am loving it and it was worth the $70. Good luck on getting the handheld. Happy to see you support it and having fun. Thats what maters in the end. 😀

@Fiendish-Beaver Yeah i agree buddy. No way with only 30 million consoles. Heck it’s looking like even 100 million consoles isn’t pleasing the suit and ties and dev teams. Which is a big change in our industry,

@Fiendish-Beaver MS didn’t bring their games to other platforms solely based on GP, they brought their games to more platforms cause Xbox has only sold 30 million units. That is not enough to support today’s cost. Sony is at 80 million consoles and no GP and looking for ways to bring in more users and money. Without GP MS might be out of hardware all together. So i see GP as strength as do they. I buy all my games on Series X and PS5. But i understand why some don’t and use a service. But 30 million consoles in today’s dev cost would not be enough profit for MS not to look to PC, PS and Cloud.

@Fiendish-Beaver yeah i am look at Steam right now on my Mac and sure enough a lot of these newer games are priced lower. Like you shown. Which makes sense as PC has more storefronts to compete with. When i last priced check games on Steam it was older games i would want to own if i built a PC, so Red Dead, Diablo etc and the prices were the same as Xbox and i was like what’s all the excitement for. Steam is really really good. If i had a PC i am sure i would use it some. Will be very interesting to see how it exist on the next Xbox/PC box. Heck maybe i should get all my games there in case i do decide to switch to PC and just use Steam. Still not sure about Steam making a console, seems rumors have started to show they aren’t going forward but of course the Steam Deck 2. Which Gabe has said he wants a big level of boost performance before they would consider Steam Deck 2. I wonder how long a wait that is?

@Fiendish-Beaver for sure we will see live service games on Xbox from Sony, I’ve been saying that for over a year now. That’s just a no brainer. I do think we will see some single player titles as well. In my opinion a good one to start with would be Returnal. Sure it might only sell 400-500k on Xbox, but at say $60, that would be some nice money for Sony and that team. Not like that game coming to Xbox is going to hurt anything. But yeah if Sony ever get’s another live service game really doing well. They have to be on all platforms. It would be nice to see them revisit Killzone and bring that to Xbox. It could do well there as well. Time will tell. I am interested in learning more about it.

@Fiendish-Beaver i watched a video on YouTube explaining really well about what the future of Xbox and PS look like. I really liked it it was well done. The take aways that it said that i have been saying for a while now is the console wars are over it’s now the platform wars. Having the biggest MAU’s, keeping players in your games and spending money. Fortnite has really pushed this on the market. They make a billion dollars a quarter. To take that player base which is huge and get them to come play other games has proven to be hard. Then there COD and Minecraft and Roblox. Sony just released their statement saying 40% of their earnings were from live service games and they admit it’s gotten off to a rough start with concord and Marathon but they are well under way on solving that issue and working hard on a new set of live service ideas. Single player games will still be a thing for them but as we are seeing, it’s likely to remain just 1 a year. Maybe 2 if they do a deal with second party. Think Death Stranding. So i like this move for them. I am excited to play some of their games on a Xbox controller. If i am really needing to play some of their single player titles on day one, well i have a PS5 and will do that there. But i do think the future is not so much about how many consoles you are selling but how many players are buying and staying inside your games. Expanding that to all players. Making it easy to get into and play with others on different platforms. Exciting times. But for sure Sony has said it themselves, it’s about the platform now not the console as much and we know Xbox is now a platform not just a console like generations past. It’s going to take gamers time to understand these moves and get on board. They are still kicking and screaming online and threatening to go to PC, which i laugh cause MS wants them to do that. Yes please do sell your PS and get a PC, did we mention we have PC game pass? Haha

@Fiendish-Beaver yeah if i had a pc i wouldn’t much care about handhelds really either. As or steam being cheaper, thats really sort of a myth. New games for the most part are the same price on steam. They have big sales sure, but so does Xbox and PS. Where that came out is when console games would launch a year or two or even 3 years later on steam and the games were cheaper. I go on steam on my computer all the time to just look never buy and the whole notion that games are cheaper there 90% of time just isn’t true. It’s just another thing gamer grab ahold of cause they heard enough people say it online. As for the console MS is making a first party box, they’ve been working on it and AMD already announced its chip deal. It will be using UNDA which will allow for PC and console code to match, making it easier for devs and PS6 will use RDNA which is what we have now in both machines. Tho rumor has it Asus and other OEMS can make a Xbox pc/console as long as the specs are the same as the 1st party Xbox or higher, can’t be lower. Those OEM boxes will use the new Xbox Os. Which i am dying to see and know more about. So yeah that is already confirmed MS is making a console/PC. As for the OEMS and which ones. So far it’s rumored to be Asus in 2026 and the 1st party Xbox in 2027. I would like to see a powerful one made by Razer. That could be really high end and cool. I think Razer would do a good job of blending PC and Console together using high end design and specs. Wouldn’t be cheap would be my guess. Still a lot to uncover about next gen but it’s exciting as we are getting closer to it by the month. 😀

A little surprised to hear it but not much. I am a huge Diablo fan. It’s my 3rd favorite IP in gaming and as much as i love D4, the end game content has been average to bad at times. Really need to get the end game content better. Wishing Rod a happy future.

@Fiendish-Beaver i don;t have any issues with steam. But i don’t have my collection there and i am not sure if i will ever truly game only on PC. Maybe… i have told myself a ton of times it’s the place to be. But I LOVE consoles and always have. Play anywhere is marketing for sure. But i do like that via Steam and Xbox those games can be played in more places. As to where on Sony it’s only good on their devices. Nothing wrong with that just less convenient. I am excited to learn more about next gen. I will make my decisions on that info when it’s out in the open. 😀

@Fiendish-Beaver when it comes to Steam, as i said i would like to see and know more. But MS is very open about what store you want to collect from will be on Xbox and play anywhere is the goal. How that looks, i am excited to see and learn more.

As for Sony, they have said they are moving to gain more MAU’s. That’s the way MS said it in the beginning too. Then the job posting, before that leadership talking about being in more places than just their console. The reports are there if you want to read them. But again the breadcrumb trail is out now. Sony is looking to be in more places and i think it will serve them well.

@Fiendish-Beaver i agree with you. Anyone thinking it’s only live service or the floodgates are going to open is just setting themselves up to be disappointed. Hence my stance on it. We don’t know and the ones saying only live service has taken a hard stance on that. Which i get it, yes live service games tend to need players. So it makes sense. Guess what else needs players? $300 million dollar one and done single player games. They tend to forget that. Ask Square if they were happy to barely sell 3 million copies of FF rebirth. They are now going full 3rd party again and not doing exclusives and that ain’t a live service game. So in a nutshell that’s my take on it until we learn more. I have a PS5 as well so of course it don’t matter to me. But like yourself i may double dip a few just to have some on Xbox as well.

@DaveTheRave i ain’t trolling on Push, i am putting a few people on notice that they were wrong in things they said to me. But otherwise i said it in plain English. I think Sony is doing the right thing and it will be good for them. Thats not a troll.

MS is making a boat load of money with around 35 million consoles sold. Sony is double than that in consoles sold and looking to bring its games to more places. I don’t see anyone failing besides the school systems cause of the way some of you think and talk. The big 3 are all doing their thing.

@DaveTheRave as far as you are aware is about as open of a comment to discuss as any. But ever hear of a company called Asus? They have a PC/Xbox model in the works for 2026. Launching before the first party Xbox/PC hybrid. It’s clear the next Xbox is a PC hybrid with other OEMS making models to go along sides MS first party console. Please be careful in how you reply as i take it you are more into trolling and not having an educated conversation. As far as you are aware thats called the block button. I am not here to play insult games on the big 3. I support them all. Thank you.

@Fiendish-Beaver however, if you look back at when Xbox started to put their games on the PC, you can easily argue that that is where it all started to go wrong for Xbox.

I disagree with that, when it all went wrong for Xbox was, Xbox One launch. TV TV TV, if you don’t have alone we have a console for that, it’s called Xbox 360. That is where it went wrong. Then Sony doing a 20 second clip of how to share a game was the nail in the coffin. So MS had to move away from Xbox as the only place to gain users. Selling software is the name of the game in this business we all know that. Hard to do when you launched your console off on such a bad start. Sony putting their games on PC was shouted at the roof tops to be the end of PS. Cause the internet always has to be doom and gloom. PS5 is selling just fine. The same way it will continue to sell just fine with some of their games on NIntendo and Xbox. Will they lose some players to PC? Probably, but they will make so much money being on more platforms it won’t matter. So in plain words, no i do not think Sony having games on other platforms will hurt their bottom line but in fact grow it.

@Fiendish-Beaver there’s no cop out and it’s not about me being right, it’s about following what Sony is saying. I am not telling you they are moving away from the closed ecosystem, they are telling you that, you just hear it in the terms you want.

As for when, i think it comes down to what teams are going to be doing the work. What disrupts their business model the least. Which to me would be smart to start with older games. Maybe a 2018 God of War? That is just sitting around often on sale for 10 dollars, why not port that to Xbox for $50. I don’t know what they are going to price them at. Uncharted would be a nice fit for the Xbox gamer. Then there’s little big planet and Astro bot on Nintendo that would make some sense. Again how long do these ports take and who do they have doing them? Thats what I’d like to learn more about. Again this all goes back to raising their profit margins, so the real question is when have shareholders and investors put a hard date on seeing those numbers rise? I would guess in less than 3 years. It’s taken MS some time to get games to PS5 and they still haven’t put anything on Switch 2 yet but they will and MS has way more devs than Sony. Again this isn’t about being right or wrong for me as much as it’s just pointing out that people care so much about exclusives that they are defending this job post as live service only when NO ONE KNOWS THAT. Could that be true and i am wrong? Of course. But i am not drawing the line in the sand on only live service to help myself feel better that exclusive are dying a slow death and companies and devs want all their games in more places to play.

@Fiendish-Beaver i will buy my games on the Xbox store over Steam. Many causals will as well cause likely it is the default store and they don’t care about steam. MS will likely match the steam sales to remain competitive. However we do not know all the workings and potential profit sharing of that deal behind the scenes. Phil and Gabe have a very close and long friendship. I am sure there has been a lot of talks within them to make this happen. Until we learn more on the matter i don’t want to overstate what that looks like. But again i have said this for years now on here, the end game isn’t console. It’s cloud streaming for the causals and PC’s for those that still want hardware. We aren’t there yet. But just like all other mediums in the entertainment market, we will see streaming be the mainstream solution as tech carries that closer and closer to a console level performance. PC is growing like crazy and will continue to for quite a while. Time will tell how all that plays out.

@cragis0001 @Fiendish-Beaver where people are wrong for not listening to me is not following the money. To MANY gamers come on here and speak babble about money. Never to realize it’s not that i am a fly on the wall in these meetings. It’s just common sense. Sony’s profit margin is low. Investors have asked them to be at 10%, they aren’t close to that at the moment. Or the last i read into it. So these ports would help. I have also defended MS choice in moving away from a one closed box ecosystem and have said that Sony would be faced by shareholders and their own internal leaders to raise profits. Did i guess this would take shape so soon? No, i thought we would start to see this in the PS6 life after they grew that install base. Not now before the launch of PS6, giving players maybe a reason to leave the platform, even tho a very small number of gamers will do that. Not listening to me about money has lead more people into the i told you so comment than not. This ain’t a brag or flex. I am an accountant. I see what companies will do for a few hundred thousand. Not to mention millions. Always follow the dollar, especially in todays gaming and you will be closer to right than wrong nearly everytime.

@cragis0001 thank you, i did the same with Steam coming to Xbox and i got a little push back. The thing is this is all public information, it’s not that hard to think for yourself and see what they are telling you and yet most gamers jump on the trend comments online and believe it’s the way the companies think and act. Which couldn’t be further from the truth. Then i come along with the receipts and hold people to what they said for months or even years and they freak out on me. Thats my role around here HAHA

@WildConcept6 yeah that all makes sense to me. If i were Disney i would want the game on as many platforms as possible. I don’t care for the marvel games. So not sure i would buy it. I beat the first Spider-man and it was fine, but a little boring towards the end. So likely i am not buying them but Disney should maximize their earning potential. Time will tell.
