I'll never pay to play a game early. As far as I'm concerned, this breaks the promise of first party games being on Gamepass on day 1.

Series X is my first ever Xbox console and I almost didn't buy it because of the need for AA batteries.
I bought rechargeable batteries and it lasts so much longer than the garage PS5 controller.
I'm a Nintendo fanboy, but the Xbox controller is by far my favourite.

I love my Series X and I don't like playing on PS, but I just can't see me buying another Xbox console. It makes absolutely no sense.

@trev666 You own an Xbox but not Gamepass? You're doing this wrong.

@edgar14 That doesn't make any sense. They obviously don't want to be making a loss on any console sales, so have raised the price. They would only have kept the price lower if they were desperate to sell consoles, which they clearly are not.

I don't think Microsoft care about how many consoles they sell now.

@Kaloudz I agree entirely with this, but the problem is the amount of games that release now. In the 90s I'd play a 7/10 no problem because it's a good game, but now there's so many 8/9/10 that you feel like anything beneath that isn't worth playing. I'm not saying it's right, it's just a reality.

@MaccaMUFC I tried that and it just said there was an error. Sorted now anyway.

@ChopperCampbell I had to use the app to download it because on console it was trying to make me pay for it.

It was already possible to do this, even if it wasn't 'officially' supported.

@FraserG When I bought it this way, it didn't start downloading and I had to do it from the app. Did this happen for you as well?

I think there's a typo in there. It says they're available until Sunday, January 14th but I think you meant 17th.
