Just finished Like a Dragon Gaiden. Now I'm playing Cocoon as a recommendation from Jimboss here and Alice Madness Returns.
On switch I'm playing Super Mario Bros 3 for the first time in my life (pls don't judge me folks haha)
@BRT15 have a great time with your new laptop! Really? I've got two controllers with my console back in 2020 and they're completely ok until today. Maybe you've just got bad luck with yours
I'm Brazilian and already have my Xbox so this price increase won't affect me but man, what a stupid decision... In Brazil Playstation is the king, Xbox is the second and Nintendo comes in third. Just for information, until yesterday a PS4 (yes folks, PS Four!) was more expensive (R$3000 = U$600) than a XSS (R$2000 = U$400) and many people still choose PS4 because the brand is extremely strong here. Xbox was growing during this generation mainly because the combination of XSS+Gamepass. Now, MS got rid of their only leverage, the price.
I've loved The Gunk, such a fun well polished game. Gamepass has been great for smaller and bigger studios as well. Since it's beginning I've been hearing that it's bad for bigger studios (most from ps fans) from then on I've seen games from Sega, square, rockstar, EA, Ubisoft, Capcom, CD projekt red and many other big studios coming to gamepass, many of them at day one
@Mephisto2869 Sorry to give you the bad news, but you can 100% Spider-Man 2 in about 25h according to How Long to Beat (almost 400 players submitted their time) so you've scratched way more than surface and are just about to finish the whole game or maybe you're very very very slow player. By the way the main mission has almost 5h of cinematics. That means that 20% of the game is not a game, it's a movie. Don't get me wrong, for me it's a fun game, but it's not a 90+ in my opinion.
@ArmoredMore jokes aside, you're an exception (at least to me) because everyone I've been talking to who love RPGs and Bethesda (and I include myself here) are having a great time with Starfield or are excited to play it tomorrow. Anyway, hope you find something you like to play these days then (I assume Armored Core by your profile)
@ArmoredMore there is. It's called "Starfield" made by...you know...Bethesda. But it only works if you like RPGs and Bethesda games, otherwise well...you won't like it
@Moonglow these PineappleTortoises just show up here to flame. When I called one of these guys a kid the other day on PushSquare he became so furious to reply me that all of his comments were removed. About BG3 I'm definitely buying the game on Xbox too but I'll wait a sale, until then I'll be enjoying Starfield and Super Mario Wonder. Great times for those who love to play
That's an correct choice imo. Release the game now and in the future add the split-screen. But MS has set a precedent here that can come back to bite them later, better be careful. Anyway, I'm playing on PC right now until Starfield comes out. Funny how some people here saying they're sorry for Series S owners but on PushSquare they're commenting "Sony had a free win with BG3 becoming timed exclusive. Thank you Xbox Series S.".
@StonyKL well, if you accept any advice try to stick to a game a little longer. I've played many great games that didn't click with me in the beginning (hi-fi rush included) but later turned out being good experiences.
I'm without a TV/monitor right now, my Xbox is uninstalled so I'm using Xcloud quite a lot. I feel that when I'm playing on my phone or iPad it's laggy but it's fine on my laptop. But just like @abe_hikura I tend to play turn based games to avoid any trouble
@Cashews I keep Descenders installed because it's a fun little game to clean the appetite before and after playing a long and dense game. The soundtrack is good too
@Eslam well, it wasn't a spontaneous compliment, actually he was directly questioned about his opinion about the show, what should he answer? 'I hate it' or 'such a terrible adaptation'? What do you think Sony fans would say about that?
Also, he was asked to compare TLOU to Halo Series and what should he say about that? 'Halo is better' or something like that? In my opinion Phil nailed the subject by praising the competitor's show without comparing with Halo.
@themightyant tks for the suggestion, I'll read about it. But as you said "at least in the short term" it'll be awesome for me and for many gamers around the whole world. And I do hope that Sony, MS, Nintendo keep competing so consumers get the best games and deals
@themightyant I can see your point in a business perspective but I have to think as a consumer now. I don't have a playstation, only an Xbox and a Switch and for me as a consumer this deal will be good. I'll have plenty of games on GP without the need to buy all of them one by one. I live in a place where COD MWII costs about a third of the common income (and a PS5 costs 5x the regular income), so, I can't see the problem about this merger.
Dear Phil, let me give you a friendly advice, if you want Sony to sign a deal, pay ABK 70bn, then offer Sony 100 years of COD exclusivity on PS, make Halo, Gears, Forza PS exclusives as well, cancel the deals with Nintendo and Steam, give them bethesda games too, shut down gamepass, and stop making any games. Pretty sure they'll sign today (Contain tons of irony)
New month same old comments... "Games coming soon on GP": "Boo! Poor games" "Nothing for me" "where are the good games MS promised us" and blah blah blah
"Games leaving soon": "oh no these games should have stayed longer" "such good games leaving" and blah blah blah
@Bleachedsmiles I agree with you that this year MS Studios has not launched any games. My point is there are so many games to play that if some of them get delayed (just like it happened with Horizon, God of War, Redfall, Starfield and the list goes on) we will be just fine. And seeing ppl complaining about this just intrigues me, but it’s just my opinion anyway.
For me, if MS is taking too long to release games, I just turn on the other console and play something else whether a first or third party game.
@Royalblues Totally agree with you. I grew up during a time when I had few games to play and had no money to buy. Today I have hundreds of different games to play on gamepass, Epic gives 1 free game every week, PS+ gives two or more games every month and Amazon Prime Gaming gives 5 or more every month. All this paying just a few dollars or none if you want.
For me every year has been an amazing year! I see people complaining because this is a poor year for gaming, nothing to play and blah blah blah and I just can’t understand. How can this people manage to play all the backlog?
@UltimateOtaku91 I know that, I was being sarcastic. So now that Microsoft owns a huge amount of studios, they can make "timed-exclusives" like Sony...you know, maybe 200 years of exclusivity and that's okay.
Jokes aside, I don't like any games being exclusives (or timed-exclusives, as Sony likes to play). But the world is what it is, neither company is "good" or "bad", they're all out there looking for money.
@UltimateOtaku91 "But sony make a a COUPLE TIMED EXCLUSIVES and they are bad"
I'm still waiting this so-called timed-exclusivity to end so I can play on my Xbox: Spider-Man, Spider Man Miles Morales, God of War 1-4, The Last of Us 1 and 2, Gran Turismo (all of them), Uncharted 1-4, Lost Legacy, Ratchet and Clank, Infamous, Bloodborne, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian, Ghost of Tsushima, Demon Souls, Returnal, Killzone, Death Stranding, Horizon, Days Gone, Final fantasy XIV and the list goes on...
Well, I don't see Sony as the good Samaritan either.
For me it's okay if this delay means a better game in the end. Also, Gamepass keeps increasing my backlog so it's not like I've got nothing to play BUT...exclusives are very very important to bring and keep players at your system, even more when Sony and Nintendo have great titles coming this year.
@themightyant I managed to update by closing the game, fully restarting the console, then "My Games And Apps", "Manage", "Updates", and hit the box with the icon ⬇️. Then the halo box popped up with about 2.5GB, after that I've started the game and chose Campaign and the options to download appeared (about 20GB). Hope it works for you!
Can't help but loving Gamepass! I've managed to finish Marvel vs Capcom, tested Soul Calibur and The Messenger before today. I would never buy/play these 3 games otherwise and I had a great time playing MvC and didn't like so much the other two. So much value!
@Justifier I was concerned about that before buying but now I keep an average of 7-10 games installed and just delete the games I finish. If you don't mind managing storage that way, it's just fine.
Well, I've bought my Series S at launch and I don't regret even a bit. It runs smoothly every game I've tested so far and I don't really care about 4K. Also, I'm loving Game Pass Ultimate.
