@Nintendo4Sonic I haven't seen numbers of decreasing sales but I can speak for myself, I'm still buying games every month even subscribing to Gamepass (of course I might be the only exception)
On the other hand, many publishers are not launching their games on a service and closing studios or firing people too. How subscription services are guilty in that case?

@Nintendo4Sonic I'm a subscriber since 2020. Until today Gamepass has saved me about $3-4k. Sorry but if this is hurting the industry I really don't care at all.
I'm not convinced that paying full price for games has improved the industry, many games release unfinished, broken, filled with micro transactions and almost none creativity.
In my opinion bad games (Concord, Red fall, list goes on) and remakes, remasters (and sometimes remasters of remakes) hurt the industry not me paying less to play more.

Besides that, I've loved P3R but the DLC was a little bit disappointing

This weekend I'm playing:

• Ni no Kuni (Switch)
• Marvel Heroes War of the Gems (SNES via emulation)
• Under the Waves (Xbox Free Play Days)

During this week I've finished:

• Avatar Frontiers of Pandora: As @PsBoxSwitchOwner said it's a beautiful game, but it was a 6/10 for me. The gunplay was good and flying with your Ikran was fun but nothing more than that.
• X-Men Mutant Apocalypse: My 10 year old me would be proud, fun little game but the final boss was a nightmare.

PS: Only for exclusives
PC: Only for emulation of older consoles
Switch: Exclusives, party games and some JRPGs to play before sleeping
Xbox: Main platform. It's where I buy most of my games and subscribe for Gamepass and Ubisoft+

Xbox: Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. I'm not liking it so far, but I'll give at least 5h of gameplay before giving up.
Switch: Ni No Kuni. Playing it little by little before sleeping everyday. The art is just fantastic.
PC: X-Men Mutant Apocalypse (Snes via emulation). That's one of those games I've never finished when I was a kid but now it's the time!

Actually I find that part a little unbalanced and breaks the game's rhythm but at least it's the only part of the game where you'll need to grind. After that you'll be able to finish it without trouble

@jesse_dylan Yakuza 0, Kiwami 1 and 2 left once but soon came back. They usually stay for a long long time.

Finished Like a Dragon: Ishin! yesterday so I believe I'll be testing some games this weekend until one of them grab my attention.

Already finished 33 games this year. My goal is to beat at least 40 until the end of the year.

I've just started Like a Dragon:Ishin! on Xbox. Great combat and narrative.

Just finished Gotham Knights this week, had a good time with it.
Now I'm finishing Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (Xbox) and continuing my playthrough on Paper Mario (NSO/N64). On mobile I'm currently playing Storyteller via Netflix Games

Playing Star Wars Outlaws on Xbox and Paper Mario (N64) on my switch everyday before sleeping.

I've tried Atomic heart a few times and couldn't enjoy it. For me the story is forgettable and the gameplay is really bad.

Just go play games folks. You'll be much happier than arguing about corporate decisions 😁 I'm currently playing Creatures of Ava right now, such a cozy and relaxing game.

Assassin's Creed Origins and some Crash Bandicoot 1 during breaks.

I don't spend too much time on the dashboard but I'm completely against practices like this. If I'm paying for something I don't want to see any ads. That same thinking goes for any subscription services I have like Netflix, Prime Video and others

I see people still believe that billion or trillion dollar companies are angels of pureness and innocence. Bless their little innocent hearts.

I believe it's not an optimization issue, just Sony's money and influence at the Asian market.
Anyway, for me that's fair, that's what competition is and I hope MS try to fight back. Search for the next big 3rd party release, use the infinite money to make a temporary exclusive deal and let the studio say "We will release on PS later because we're focused releasing the best experience... whatever".

Just finished the Phantom Liberty expansion yesterday and got the ending where the main story of the vanilla continues so I'll be playing the final part of Cyberpunk this weekend. What a game folks!

Creatures of Ava reminds me of The Gunk. If similar I'll enjoy it for sure

MS didn't keep everything solely for itself (everything is on PC and many things on PS) and Sony are starting to do the same, a little bit late it's true but they're doing.

I'm still playing Cyberpunk 2077. Usually I'm a 'Main Quest Player', but this game made me stray a little bit and play the secondary ones.
During the weekend I'm giving COD MW III a chance too. Haven't played a COD game since a long time ago and I'm having a good time with it.

They're terrible and confusing! I would name the next gen as Xbox 6 (even though it would be the 5th) or go for something different than numbers that could follow a logical sequence.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner I don't defend every practice MS do but I can see the logic behind some of their decisions.

Why change it if people didn't subscribe? So maybe someone can subscribe (you've answered your own question). I think we all agree that GP Console didn't even make sense because it was missing the online features. GP Standard makes more sense, but they added some feature (online) and removed other feature (day-one games).

Why increase prices? Because that's what corporations do with services. Netflix, Prime, Gamepass, PS Plus and the list goes on. I don't like it neither defend it but a fact it's a fact. All these services I've just mentioned did it and all of them will increase their prices in the future again and again.

Well I believe no one here is happy with a price increase. If someone is happy with this he must see some therapist.

That said, for ME it still is a great deal. I've finished 18 games until now this year so the sub price is already paid up. Also I don't usually replay the games I've already finished so owning them it's not important for me.

Half of the comments here are "I'm cancelling my sub right now" but we all know they will be here tomorrow and next year (still subscribing)
The other half are our known trolls that just appear in the bad news, just ignore them, they will come back to Push square in a minute.

My "just for you" deals include upgrades for my ubisoft games, some EA games and more recently Lego 2k Drive and Penny's Big Breakaway. I'd love to buy Mafia Trilogy at that price but I think it's not "for me" lol

I've paused Cyberpunk 2077 this week to play the games that are leaving Gamepass.
Started and finished TOEM (fun little game).
Now I'm playing Figment 1 to understand the story and play the second later.
After that I'll start Coffee Talk 2.

I was playing offline until now and tried to go online and now it worked. It seems things are starting to work again.

Cyberpunk is the reason I don't buy games day-one anymore. I pay less during a sale and play the best version of the game.

In the meantime I'm struggling with Lies of P. I've never played a souls like before so I'm suffering to beat a boss called Fueco lol

Fact 1: We all know that a Gamepass subscription is not free. You have to pay for it.
Fact 2: We all know what @BAMozzy meant when he used the word "free". He even used the word in quotes indicating the word wasn't being used literally.

@themightyant I believe Xbox will reveal less and less specific dates from now on, just the release window and then reveal the date only when closer to launch like we've seen during the showcase. My guess this is a strategy to prevent people subscribing just to play a game on a specific month and then cancelling the sub.

@FraserG sure, I saw some news (not here on PX) from insiders that it wouldn't come at all.

Aside from these lies, it is an easy job to be an insider. Take this COD issue for an example: You can say MS is considering something, others will repost because the responsibility it's not theirs anyway, no one could ever confirm that information because this kind of thing would be discussed during a closed meeting, if nothing happens you can claim 'I just said they were considering'. On the other hand if your guess ends up becoming the truth you gain 'credibility'.

By the way I've heard MS is considering adding GTA 6 day one at Gamepass.
