@SplooshDmg You seem like a positive human I agree

@P3nguinprisM Glad that I'm not the only one, and sorry you've had a similar experience with the gaming community. It's a massive shame how online platforms have become a breeding ground for fanboyism. I'm mostly keeping clear of comment sections now and right there with you on reviews. They're mostly not worth the read, point systems are terribly also.

On a side note, does anybody find it demoralizing to see critics wield such power over a video game? And that the negativity, predominantly of the online caliber, has become increasingly more toxic and negative. Gamepass gives you the opportunity to check a game out for yourself and see whether YOU like it or not. There seems to be a conscious effort in destabilising and defaming any game that arrives on GP in attempts to mitigate the variety of choice and potential for hidden gems to be discovered. It's this weird everything has to be triple A mentality that taints the gamepass well, so to speak, and I feel that it's mostly so called "unbias multiplatform owners" who are responsible. It's a sad state of affairs, the whole online community, the vocal tend to be the most negative and hateful. I see way more likes on a tweet than comments but you be assured that those comments are filled with venom. I think, personally, the gaming community will eventually kill video games. It's like we're all looking to be outraged and to cause outrage, to declare something utter crap as if it's fact and not opinion and then to argue with those who disagree. Cultish fanboys and trolls and bored lonely bitter humans who can't find the joy of gaming like they use to. It's all very depressing. Every time I make the mistake of reading the comments on here I'm reminded of just how bitterly vapid and angrily shallow gamers can be. So self entitled and bias and apparent professionals of the industry. Xbox and Sony has millions of players, only a few thousand make it to the internet so they can argue and spit and berate players, producers, and companies. Makes me wonder about those millions who don't entertain the online sections. Makes me realise the most cancerous gamers rely on sites like these to stroke their ego and garnish a sense of self. Pathetic

Re: Xbox Officially Announces Its Return To The Tokyo Game Show

@SithThanos we know that Forza is coming out, so is Halo. Next year will be an odd one, both PlayStation and Xbox have games coming out but none with confirmed dates set in stone. Gonna have to wait and see. I'm confident Starfield will be out, maybe sooner. Stalker should be out April. Horizon Dawn, I think is out Feburary? It's possible any game gets delayed and both companies have a habit of announcing their ways wayyyyy before any foreseeable release dates, and when they do, there are delays. I hope that this time next year I can come back to this comment and list down all the games that came out If you're fed up of waiting try playing some other games, get a PS5 or PC or Switch. It's frustrating having spent money on a new console and then having to wait but that seems to be the way it works with new generational consoles. I remember getting my first PS4 when it came out, that was a loooong wait haha. Lucky for Xbox there's gamepass with day one games like Aragami 2, Psychonaughts 2, Sable, Back 4 Blood, Forza, Halo and all the other interesting titles available. It's not bad at all. Not for me at least

Re: These 13 Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (September 15 - October 1)

Also, Psychonaughts 2 came out just last month, next month is back 4 blood, then Forza, and then Halo. Phil said he wanted to get blockbuster titles on Gamepass every month while filling out the days with extra games. Seems to be going to plan. Sable and Aragami 2 are easily the big ones, the rest are titles you might never have played had it not been on Gamepass. Soon, very soon I hope, Xbox will be churning out first party games every month. At least that's the plan. Can't wait

I'm excited to see whether the game awards sneaks in any announcements and also, how amazing are Xbox owned studios doing recently? They got some serious talent working for them now.

As for the leal, Dragon Dogma 2...I can't begin to articulate how much I loved Dragons Dogma, to the point I annoy my wife by always quoting "we ought prepare ourselves for battle" Every time we leave to do the shopping. Aaaargh, I need it in my eyeballs right now

Re: Talking Point: Is Xbox Missing Out By Leaving The Superheroes To PlayStation?

DezzY7

rolls eyes This is ammunition for the Ponies looking for a new narrative to crap on Xbox. The Xbox has no games rhetoric has ran stale and untrue so now it's Xbox has no super hero games. Yeah, but you know what it does have, Western RPG's and Bethesda and titles like Fable Halo and Indiana Jones. Insomniac are great but look what's happened, they've become the spider man game machine, and oh, one CGI trailer of wolverine which is so far out that anyone buying a PS5 purely for that reason will have hell of a wait. Deathloop reviews are a solid reason why Xbox don't need super hero games, either. All that matters is that companies get good games, whatever the genre. This type of discussion is fish food for fanboys looking for a new not debate on whose got the better console. Besides there will be tons of Third party studios making hero games, it just so happens sony has one studio which now have their hands tied to be the Marvel money maker. Boil it down and nobody wants a 500 pound console JUST for one type of game, they want GAMES, right now, Xbox has tons of games slate for the next few years (that we know of) This whole superhero discussion will fade out, well, maybe it won't because so far it's the only valid if not shallow argument Ponies can make for owning a Playstation. Which is sad, when you think about it

Re: Video: 18 Minutes Of The Spider-Man 4 Xbox Game We Sadly Never Got

DezzY7

It's really weird, Sony has a few Marvel games coming out and the narrative now is Xbox needs hero games, but like, if hero games are the only hype of a console then surely that's only going to lead to fatigue. Xbox doesn't need Spiderman, or Wolverine, they've got Star field, Fable, Master Chief. Don't get me wrong, Insomaic Marvel games look immense and one day I'll get a PS5 once those games are out, but this strange new narrative driven by the Sony lot is super weird and reeks of desperation

Re: Uh-Oh, Images Of Xbox Exclusive Redfall Appear To Have Leaked Online

On a side note, seems like PS5 will be the place for third person adventures and XBOX will be the place for Western RPG's and First person shooters. Both will compete for racing games and of course Xbox has the edge with indie games. I guess what I'm saying is, Xbox will offer variety and Sony will offer action blockbusters.

@Onett I think the Japanese vibes so to speak is what keeps it feeling like a traditional old school MMO, I'm excited to see how it develops as they continue building on top of what they have so far. As a game preview I'm impressed though I think some achievements aren't unlocking, but to even have achievements in a game preview is a nice addition regardless. I'm really enjoying it, it's weird and a bit daunting but fun, and easily has those "ooooh" moments when you figure out how to get machines to collect your chopped wood.
