Re: Microsoft & Sony Sign Binding Agreement To Keep Call Of Duty On PlayStation

Deshalu

@GamingFan4Lyf you said you hope that they keep historically multiplatform games multiplatform.

I hope they do make them all exclusive, that’s what Sony would do. F Sony!!

I agree it sucks to lose exclusives, but I’m a little lost on why Sony fans are OK with them making games exclusive to their platform, but it’s not OK for other companies.

I hope they continue to buy More Studios

Re: Microsoft Activision Blizzard Acquisition Given Greenlight In US After FTC Loses (Again)

@Banjo- I literally said the same thing in pushsquare about Sony buying their studios.

that the naughty dog acquisition was actually a hostile one and they found out that Sony was going to buy them so they quickly as fast as they could sold crash bandicoot, because they were scared that would get stuck making crash bandicoot’s for the rest of their lives.

Evan Wells says in an interview and it’s even in the gameinformer magazine as a trivia question

@Moonglow so I agree with your points. But you’re not pointing that it’s a monopoly and that’s the thing it’s not a monopoly.

And having an advantage isn’t a monopoly it’s just good business.

But here’s the thing, the thing that you consider an advantage. Hasn’t been working for Microsoft.

Yeah, and there’s a reason for that.

I’ve been on the pushsquare website discussing the same thing over there, I own both consoles.

I’ve always been a PlayStation gamer.

On pushsquare head to the FTC article and read me my forms and I’ll explain everything.

I do believe this acquisition is good for competition, better games, and better prices.

The fact that we’re all actually discussing this and people are actually talking about Microsoft being competitive. Trust me it’s a good thing. We all know Sony isn’t gonna get hurt by this Sony will still have Call of Duty on their platform. Sony will answer back.

But I did put up really good arguments in pushsquare.

The moon if your PlayStation gamer is gonna be fine you’re gonna be just fine

Re: Microsoft Activision Blizzard Acquisition Given Greenlight In US After FTC Loses (Again)

Deshalu

@Moonglow but it does matter and your math is off, naughty dog and insomniac are not their biggest developers. So you don’t know but firesprite which is a newly acquired Studio has 4000 developers they’re rumored to be working on the next twisted metal and a bunch of VR games.

Also, Santa Monica Studios is big too, they’re the guys that make god of war. Gorilla games (not the correct spelling of gorilla) they’re also big and they’re working on multiple games so I’m not sure where you’re getting the support studios.

Again, you are heavily underestimating Sony. There’s a reason people are saying they hope this acquisition of activision, lights a fire under them.

I’ve owned every PlayStation, PS4 in my opinion was by far the weakest for first party titles releases

Re: Microsoft Activision Blizzard Acquisition Given Greenlight In US After FTC Loses (Again)

Deshalu

@Banjo- @Moonglow so moon I’m lost, you agree with Banjo and me on what we said.

So why do you have a problem with the merger? We’ve seen what the true monopoly can do and that’s what Sony’s been doing.

You said there was 13,000 developers in activision, did you know 15 studios worked on this last call of duty? Did you know the previous call of duty, It was nine Studios?

These crazy accusations, that Microsoft would put exclusive Content on call of duty is crazy when they’ve been on the up and up with Minecraft, ESO, and Fallout.

But moon. I also think you underestimate Sony‘s position and power that they have, and how big their studios actually are, and what they can produce.

This is not a monopoly and Sony will be fine

Re: Microsoft Activision Blizzard Acquisition Given Greenlight In US After FTC Loses (Again)

Deshalu

@Banjo- @Deshalu . Thank you banjo. You remind me of something else. most of the Activision developers only work on call of duty which means Microsoft helps bring their games out on PlayStation too.

Call of Duty, Minecraft, Psychonauts, and they brought existing Bethesda titles to PlayStation plus extra. Plus every upcoming elder scrolls online expansion and fallout 76 has also released on PlayStation.

where is the Spider-Man and wolverine game only on PlayStation. Which I don’t care because I think that it pushes both companies to be competitive. This merger for Xbox. I actually think it’s a good thing. Like the judge said, Microsoft has a good history of sticking with their word when they say they’re releasing something on PlayStation.

Re: Microsoft Activision Blizzard Acquisition Given Greenlight In US After FTC Loses (Again)

Deshalu

@Moonglow how many developers do you think Zenimax has?

How many developers do you think Sony has?

It’s already Been confirmed. Sony pays a lot less for studios and publishers to make games exclusive to its platform. Which isn’t much different than buying a publisher in my opinion.

When Microsoft purchases to make a game exclusive, they lose money in revenue, which this was confirmed in the FTC case.

Also, none of the Sony fan boys had a problem with Sony making Spider-Man exclusive when Spider-Man was on every platform

Re: Microsoft Activision Blizzard Acquisition Given Greenlight In US After FTC Loses (Again)

Deshalu

@GrailUK problem is a lot of their studios are small. So, they can’t make games as fast as Sony and the quality. So, yes they need more studios.

I recommend you look up the size of these studios and compare to Sony’s. Sony will still have more developers over Microsoft even after the merger.

Bungie alone has over 900 developers. 343 industries has less than 300 developers. Insomniac has over 900 developers. The coalition has 200 developers.

Sony can develop and produce games faster then Microsoft.

In the FTC case publishers and developers said it takes 400 developers to release a AAA title about 2 years being made from scratch

Re: Boosteroid Joins Nvidia GeForce Now In Getting Access To Xbox Cloud Titles, Starting Next Month

Deshalu

@TakeItEasy that’s not it at all but I do get the vibe that a lot of people defend Sony, when Sony is the monopoly in the console market.

Phil didn’t lie when he said they’ve already lost the console war.

That’s why Microsoft is thinking outside the box. game pass is where they’re making the majority their money. problem is they can’t ditch the Xbox because if they do that, and bring GamePass onto PlayStation, in order for it to be on PlayStation they’re going to demand a percentage of what game pass makes. That’s not what Microsoft wants.

Re: Boosteroid Joins Nvidia GeForce Now In Getting Access To Xbox Cloud Titles, Starting Next Month

Deshalu

@TakeItEasy The CMA and FTC concern's are silly. When Sony joins cloud gaming, who do you think will be the leader?

The top leaders are Tecent and Sony. Most developers Tecent, Sony, and Embracer Group.

CMA math is wrong. This deal closes. No one gets hurt and Microsoft raises in the market a little.

Microsoft wanted this buy in order of reason. 1. King, this helps with mobile and King has a lot of developers. 2. Blizzard, really helps the PC market. Sony even bought PC only developers. 3. IP’s, helps blow up Game Pass. 4. More developers and studios. 5. Call of Duty, it’s just a bonus. I don’t think they care about COD has much. CMA tried to get them to sale Activision and keep the two. That defeats 3 and 4.

@GADG3Tx87 @Moonglow Phil Spencer really has stayed true to his word.

Play gamepass on Xbox, PC, Steam Deck, Smart TV’s, and Phones.

10years on other services exposes their IP’s to new gamers, then make exclusive to Game Pass.

Wish people could see the reason Game Pass isn’t on PlayStation. Phil Spencer said 7 or 8 years ago that he hopes PlayStation Plus, Nintendo Plus, and Game Pass could be on each others console, eliminating exclusives.

Re: Rumour: Microsoft Won't Stick To '12-Month Window' For Xbox Games Showcase 2023

Deshalu

I think the problem is everyone expectations. Microsoft bought these studios when they were already had a game just released or an exclusive contract with PlayStation.

It takes 400 developers to release a AAA title in two years. None, keyword none of Microsoft Studios have 400 developers. PlayStation has eight Studios over 400, three of them are over 800.

Microsoft has seven developers that are around 100 some less.

But Microsoft has to have something to showcase at the shows.

That’s why Microsoft needs this Activision blizzard king merger. It’ll get them closer to the development, power of PlayStation.

Re: Xbox's Activision Blizzard Deal Officially Approved In Europe

Deshalu

@Serpentes420 @Kaloudz He did! People are focusing too much on the console war.

Phil has already come out and said it’s not about console wars, which it’s not, what they’re looking for is more games, more different IP‘s on Game Pass, equals more subscribers!

If Microsoft could back out of the console market, they would, the only reason their still in the console market is because it has a lot of gamers in it. They can’t bring GamePass to PlayStation because then PlayStation would have pole, and slap fees for GamePass being on there. So, Microsoft has to have an Xbox console

Re: Report: Activision Blizzard Hires Royal Family-Level Lawyer To Fight UK CMA

Deshalu

@Kevw2006 again all you guys keep comparing consoles. Microsoft isn’t competing with consoles. Phil has said numerous times he doesn’t care about the console sales. It’s about subscribers.

The reason Game Pass isn’t on Sony’s console is because of the large market that they bring to the lower class citizens that can’t afford high end PC. If there wasn’t an Xbox Console it would just be PlayStation, Sony would charge Microsoft and want a percentage of game pass cut to be on the PlayStation console.

How some people don’t see this or understand, baffles me

Re: Report: Activision Blizzard Hires Royal Family-Level Lawyer To Fight UK CMA

@TheArtfulDodger it’s really too long to explain so just save my comment, and I’m telling you in 10 years call of duty will be exclusive to Xbox.

A lot of people say that Phil Spencer has lied I have yet to see where he’s actually lied. Phil Spencer said his goal is to get games in more peoples hands. last I checked gamePass is on cell phones, computers, Xbox, web browsers, Steamdeck, and soon NVidia will have everything including halo.

Phil. Spencer also said that existing Bethesda IP‘s will remain multi platform. Every time an update or expansion has come out for elder scrolls online fallout 76 Skyrim have all come out and then patched same day as the Xbox version. See. elder scrolls Skyrim is an existing IP, but elder scrolls six is not an existing IP. People were looking for the word franchise.

It’s a business Phil didn’t lie that Microsoft has lost the console war. what he talked about in meetings back when they were still on the Xbox one they had to think outside the box. That’s where they came up with Game Pass. Problem is if you bring Game Pass to PlayStation, PlayStation remains the monopoly and then they’ll end up controlling GamePass and that’s not what Microsoft wants. If you can get a game pass successful eventually because of the economy PlayStation will be forced to switch to GamePass’s model, and it’ll actually even the playing field for Microsoft.

The Activision/Blizzard/King merger is an accelerant for their plan.
