I would’ve tried this if it was free to play, but charging for the game when there is not even a single player story campaign and there will be battle passes makes it not for me.
I’ve been playing Avowed with matches of Marvel Rivals and Street Fighter 6 sprinkled in. I also finished the Princess Peach game with my daughter earlier.
I discovered this feature a couple weeks ago and it is awesome! Playing games in a different room from the Xbox, and playing at my girlfriends house without having to bring my Xbox has been cool.
I’m sticking with Xbox since my friends are on there as well as over a decade of games and achievements on there. If the Xbox goes away a lot of games are part of the play anywhere so I’ll still have those on PC anyway.
I’m not confident enough in the game that I would pay to play early. I only paid for early access for Starfield since I had covid and couldn’t go anywhere.
A new Banjo Kazooie would be great. Astrobot has shown that a 3d platformer can still be huge today. My 4 year old daughter loves playing around in Banjo Kazooie, so I think the gameplay, characters and world are timeless!
If you care about "console wars", then Xbox is at an all time low. Personally, I do not care if people who purchased the "other" console can play the games I am playing, Game Pass has been awesome for me, and I have all my games and friends on Xbox, so Xbox is better than it has been in my book.
Having a career, child and a girlfriend to spend time on has definitely cut my gaming time down. I still play, but I tend to focus on shorter arcade style games or online matches. Gone are the days of the 100 hour RPGs for me, except for Starfield since I was quarantined for COVID when it came out lol
The highlight for me has come from the smooth gameplay for nearly every game. That minimum of 60 FPS on nearly all games has been huge. Hellblade 2 was amazing to look at for a few hours, but I did not finish the game. I anticipate that Gears of War E-Day will be the next high point for me with graphics (hopefully) as good as Hellblade 2 but with that Gears gameplay I have been waiting for.
I would be excited about this if the game was not so confusing. I could not figure out how to unlock characters and what all the different currencies meant, so I dropped the game.
I look forward to jumping back in since I am going on Summer break soon! I haven't played it since September when I put in close to 100 hours while I was off work for a week with covid
Stuff like this really makes a difference in keeping me on the Xbox ecosystem. That and I’d take Gears, Halo and Forza over any other brand’s exclusives lol
I prefer a shorter game over a padded out game that is too long. I can imagine that a shorter focused experience keeps the costs lower, so maybe more developers would be able to stay open if the pressure to artificially lengthen games wasn’t there.
Space was tight for my 500GB Series S, but I haven’t had any issues since switching to the 1GB Series X. I don’t install a ton of games though, just my regular multiplayer games and the single player game I’m playing at the time.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Fans, Are You Still Enjoying Halo Infinite In 2024?
@PhilKenSebben
I do not remember a solo option, but you can do private matches. It works pretty well finding 3 others in matchmaking if you are playing by yourself.
